Overlooking the famous square, the Rembrandtplein two bedroom apartment has the perfect location to discover and enjoy the city of Amsterdam. Modern, elegant and spacious, it has been decorated thinking about your comfort and convenience.

Apartment

The warm colour palette, the wall to wall windows and parquet floors create a stylish, yet homey space. The living area features a comfortable double sofa bed, a chummy armchair and for your entertainment there is a large Flat Screen TV.

The dining room with a table for six is strategically placed by the window. The designer kitchen boasts pure white cabinets and is equipped with... everything you might need to prepare your own meals: fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, and in the cupboards you will find all kind of utensils; there's also a dishwasher.

Bright and serene, both bedrooms are located at the back of the apartment and are fitted out with two single beds, respectively. The bathroom is very modern comprising a shower, a sink and a large relaxing bathtub – the water closet is in the hallway.

A masterpiece of an apartment, the Rembrandtplein 1 is on the first floor and can host six persons.

Important information

This apartment is located in an authentic historical building with very steep and narrow stairs. Therefore it is less suitable for small children, elderly or handicapped people or large suitcases.

As this apartment is located in one of the most vibrant night-life centers of Amsterdam, there will be an increased level of sound from the surrounding area during the weekends.

Additional Location Information

Located right on the Rembrandtplein (Rembrandt Square), a major square in central Amsterdam and one of Amsterdam’s vibrant night-life areas surrounded by bars, restaurants and nightclubs. If the weather is warmer, the cafe terraces on the Rembrandt Square are packed with people.
The apartment is within easy walking distance of Dam Square, the shopping streets and the Canal belt area. You can take several trams to Central Station right in front of the apartment.
Major places of interest are nearby such as the Rembrandt House, Amsterdam Music Theatre and The Hermitage.

  had a bad experience because neighbors upstairs made lots of noise from 1am to 9am, screaming and jumping on the floor. We tried all night to call to the number ShortStay gave to us but no one answer. Next day, after several calls, Martin from ShortStay, solved this, very kindly and efficiently and moved us to another place. Unfortunately we'd lost a night and a morning from our travel, and for kids and grandmother was worst to recover.

  even though the stairs to the apartment are very steep, but we just need to go try it once before getting use to the stairs...the apartment is superb..the view from the apartment is excellent..you can just sit by the window and view people's activity..the location is excellent...tram station right in front of the apartment...in 1 minute you already entered the city center of amsterdam and shops and dining places...just simply awesome!!

  Everything great. The appartment is large, without a spot and comfortable and it is directly on a major square in central amsterdam. It's a straight tip for everyone who wants to experience something.

  If you want to go to amsterdam and stay somewhere really nice and bang in the centre, this is the place for you.
  Apartment is impeccable, beautifully furnished and very well equipped to high standards. Bang in the middle of Rembrandt Square, and I mean bang in the middle! Brilliant!
  Stairs are a bit awkward to get up since they are so narrow and extremely steep so be a bit careful when carrying luggage up/down.
  The only teeny problem we had was that we were 6 persons but only had bed linen and towels for 4 persons. We found some in a storage cupboard so that quickly solved it but the 2 who had to sleep on the sofa bed had to make do with the sofa cushions rather than pillows. That being said, we never bothered to call them and ask someone to come round with more pillows so they're not completely at fault here.
  Little bit noisy especially on the weekends and the tram stop being a few metres away but its stated very clearly on their website that due to them being so centrally located its a bit louder than other places so we were well advised.
  We calculated that staying in an apartment we saved approx. €60 per person overall plus always more fun to stay together when travelling in a group :-)

  Absolutely fantastic on all counts...really lovely apartment, great view and as central as you can get...bang in the middle of Rembrandt square. Everything is at your finger tips, shops, restaurants, bars, tram stop, coffee shop etc.
  One tiny thing that was missing was the fact that we were 6 persons but only 4 pillows so the 2 that had to sleep on the sofabed in the living room had to make do with the sofa pillows which were quite uncomfortable. There were also no sheets for the sofa bed. That being said, we didn't think to call and ask for pillows and sheets to be sent once we realized they were missing so, our bad too!
  Other than that, cannot find anything at all to fault this place. Very clean, nice furniture and equipped to high standards. Very highly recommended!
