This spacious three floor apartment is situated on the corner of a canal, in a lovely unique Amsterdam neighborhood, near all major tourists attractions.

On the first floor are the living room and a spacious fully equipped kitchen situated, with a beautiful street and canal view on both sides. The living room is fitted with all necessary conveniences, such as a comfortable couch, arm chairs and a large TV/DVD home cinema system.

The Rijksmusuem and the Van Gogh museum are literally around the corner. The apartment is also only a few minutes walk from the Utrechtsestraat, a trendy shopping street with designer boutiques, bars and restaurants. Leidse square and Museum square are only 5 minutes away, as is Rembrandt square. Also de Pijp area and the Heineken brewery are nearby.

I stayed here with 5 other adults, we found the apartment to be very dirty. The lounges and beds are in terrible condition. The only plus of this apartment would be the location.

Great position.
Reasonable apartment but is getting a bit dated.
Plumbing needs work.
The stairs up to the apartment are steep and difficult if you have heavy bags.
Lino on the floors getting a bit dated.
A couple of the lounge chairs need replacing.
Great to be right on a canal.
Nice quiet area with a couple of nice pubs close by.
Easy walk to restaurants etc. -

Six of us travelled to amsterdam from Ireland in November 2010. The apartment was in a fabulous location - with great cosy bars located on are doorstep. The apartment was clean and of good value. The only point I would have to make were the narrow staircase to enter the apartment (but this is typical of many Dutch buildiings) and if you can manage them add to the authenticity and character of the apartment.
