Honeyfish is a fabulous, single storey vacation rental from Pineapplefish. Its location, on the edge of Bimini Bay, its nautically themed complete with boating artefacts, makes Honeyfish a water lover's dream luxury home on Anna Maria Island.
Honeyfish is surrounded by the water and is perfect for visitors who either want to bring their own boat or hire one when they are on the Island. Sitting on deep sailboat water, Honeyfish has two docks, including a lifting dock, giving you direct access to the Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
But, if you want to just relax and watch the boats sail past, or catch sight of dolphins which often pas...s by, the expansive decked patio, offers magnificent views and sunrises that will leave you breathless.
Honeyfish offers over 2,000 square foot of luxurious open plan living space. The great room, with beautiful furniture and soft furnishings, hi-tech equipment, including a large flat screen TV and wireless internet, showcases the wonderful water views with beautiful picture window and patio doors leading out to the deck. The high quality kitchen has all the appliances and equipment you will need, and there is dining to seat 8 guests.
There are 4 double bedrooms at Honeyfish, each with their own bathroom. 2 bedrooms are situated each side of the great room, and are controlled by their own air conditioning units. The master bedroom has a fabulous view of the water and a large, luxurious en-suite with glass windows in the large walk in shower. And one of the 3 guest bedrooms has French doors leading out to its own decked patio, overlooking the Bay. Each bedroom also has its own flat screen TV. A sofa bed to sleep a further 2 guests is also available in the great room.
Pineapplefish are also passionate about energy efficiency in their homes. Honeyfish is one of 4 villas within the Pineapplefish collection (Berryfish, Limefish and Plumfish), that has recently undergone extensive installation of Photovoltaic (PV) solar panels for electricity generation and hot water heaters. One of the biggest renewable energy installations on Anna Maria Island, the solar PV panels on the roof feed electricity back into the house and the hot water generator - a 'black box' which sit on the roof - absorbs the heat of the sun, and then feeds it back into the domestic hot water tank. A perfect vacation rental supporting green energy in Florida!

Rental agency was quick to respond to our problems in the house. The home was spacious and very adequate for our party of 8. Wonderful view of the canal. Kitchen had many cabinets and was semi-well stocked. Coffee maker is a cheap model and should be replaced for a larger model. It took two days for the refrig to cool and we had to put food in a styrofoam cooler with ice to keep it from spoiling! Thing we liked best was the view. Least was the kitchen.

Best thing about this rental is the outside living, non stop action on and in the surrounding water, dolphins, manatees, jumping rays, jumping fish, sea birds, Fantastic. Home is in need of some updates, tired bbq, old carpeting, etc, But if you want a peaceful, gorgeous view this does place has all that!
Travelled 4000 miles and not dissapointed

Start with would we come again (always the first question to ask) and yes, we all would.
First impression was wow... and that lasted all the 2 weeks.
Its position is truly spectacular, and would only be bettered if its view was the ocean itself. also its only a 4 minute walk to the bayside of the ocean (pretty tiny beach) and around 7-8 mins to the gulfside and a truly amazing beach) We rented a boat and the house's dock was perfect.
Kitchen is large and well fitted, it all looked fine to us. there was only 3 in our party, so we had much moe than we ever needed, but if you went to the limit of the occupancy then thats when maybe some people thought there wasnt enough stuff?
A huge fridge freezer, seperate wine cooler was great. So too the gas BBQ outside on the deck.
The pool was great, the large deck and dock fantastic. Plently of chairs outside, lots of towels and linen and we also gound a shed by the pool full of previous renters left behind beach chairs and stuff (bonus)
The house furnishings were lovely, expect a rental that looks maybe 2 or 3 years old in terms of most of the wear. Ive been to 4 and 5 star hotels that dont look this good.
Plenty of small shops and places to grab a beer or snacks as well as 4 good restaurants.all within 20 min walk
Major supermarkets are within a 4 min drive
Being critical, there was a few things I would change:
The rear door locks were not secure indeed the lock from the bedroom with the poolside door actually fell off when we tried to open that door
There is a 3 storey house just been built right nextdoor, looks very out of place and spoils any view there may have been from the front of the house, thats progress I guess. As the amazing view was out back its not so important, more mildly annoying

Lovely house, fabulous location. A little bit of maintenance wouldn't go a miss but really that's just being picky, choose this house and you won't be disappointed
Best position on island

Second time at Honeyfish and it didnt disappoint. Great location and the deck is a super place to watch wildlife the views are amazing. Sip cocktails while watchng eagles fish, the occasional manatee and the dolphin which turn up most afternoons. The real estate agent Sato has some great folks and nothing is too much trouble. The only things which could improve the property is a cordless telephone as the only one is fixed in one of the bedrooms and the dishwasher and wine cooler are bit past there sell by date. But overall a lovely place and have no hesitation in rebooking. We have stayed at a number of Pineapplefish properties and they are by far the best on the island. Read more

We had a fantastic time at Honeyfish. We loved everything about the island and the house was just perfect, both inside and out. There is not one thing that I would want to change. After a week at the Hardrock Hotel, which I must admit we did enjoy in a pleasure/pain kind of way, coming to stay with you was the complete opposite and much needed.
I had read previously on tripadvisor that the kitchen was not well equipped. Admittedly we did not do much cooking but there seemed to be ample of everything.
All 8 of us hired bikes for the week and indeed we did not have a car. This added to our enjoyment, except the trip coming back from Publix supermarket which seemed a lot further on the return journey! We also hire kayaks and had them delivered to the house. Beach bums were fantastic by the way.
We have told everyone about Honeyfish and would love to return. I even rode around to check out the positions of the other houses, which are part of Pineapplefish. I think that being on the water with a dock and only a couple of minutes ride from the beach is the best of both worlds. In fact am I right in thinking Mintfish is the other house in the same position as Honeyfish with the dock, a view, a pool and close to the beach?
The other thing I noticed when kayaking is that Honeyfish has the best view of the bay where as most of the other houses, although on the water, their view was restricted to the house opposite.
Returning and staying with you is certainly now on my to do list and I hope that it will be sooner rather than later. The good news is that having done the 'Orlando thing' for the first week, we don't have to worry about that again and can spend longer on anna Maria.
We loved it, loved it, loved it!!!

It is a beautiful location and it was clean. But when we arrive the aC wasn't working properly, so I checked the filter on the laundry room side of the house and found it to be almost completely blocked with dust. I changed the filter but the coils had frozen already, so the aC man came out and thawed them, it then worked properly.
Also on the day of our wedding, as my new wife was getting dressed, she stepped into the restroom into a puddle of water, as it turns out, the hot water heater was leaking, it took every towel in the house to clean in up.
Honestly we would stay in one of your properties again, but just wanted you to know about the maintenance of the aC, that was preventable though the water heater was not
Hi Jim, and thank you so much for your review and for the wonderful photo's you posted too. Congratulations and we hope you had a fantastic time on the island.
Since your review we have made some significant changes to the process in which we manage the filters and air conditioning units. These units across all houses do, as I am sure you can understand, work extremely hard, and we do our best to discuss with our guests the best way in using them to get not only the best effect from them, but help in saving energy.
We have a contract in place with a local A/C maintenance company, who services the units every 6 months, and we are continuing to review if this needs to be done more frequently. In addition to this, we now have a new policy in place that the filters are replaced no more than once a month, so as to avoid, to much dust build up. The hot water heater has also been repaired.
Again, thank you for your time in writing your review and we hope this has gone some way to assure you that we have dealt with the issues that you found.
We hope we can welcome you back to Anna Maria and Pineapplefish...perhaps for your wedding anniversary!
Never a dull moment with that view!

Perfect view every sunrise to sunset. Loads of outdoor living space. Very comfortable inside as well. Great service from the rental company upon our arrival to fix a few things in need of repair, and the great cleanup crew that had a disaster on their hands from the previous renters. Kitchen does need a better dishwasher and refrigerator, as well as quick replacement of the counter bar stools before someone is injured. Had a large group of adults over one afternoon and wished the kitchen was better equiped. Need more serving trays, bowls etc for crowds. Bbq is less than adequate as well. Hooks on the back of the bathroom doors would be helpful too. A second blue box for recycling is also suggested. Truth be told, we loved our stay and would love to stay there again ! and again!

Pineapple Fish is absolutely breathtaking. What a phenomenal view! The house is amazing with every amenity imaginable and lots of room for everyone to spread out. We never wanted to leave because we had so much fun swimming and fishing off of the dock. It's located on a dead end, so you really get a feel of being away from your neighbors. Did I mention the view! Absolutely amazing. It was the best way to celebrate turning 40! We certainly hope to make it back for another unbelievable get-away. Read more

Great Family Home
Left on 07/22/2011 for a stay in June 2011 | Donna
We rented a couple houses during the week, but made Honeyfish our "base." It was a perfect house for a large group. Due to the large great room effect and numerous outdoor areas, we never noticed crowding from the 15-plus people we had for dinners and game nights. Decor was lovely, as seen online. Location is nice at the end of the street and total privacy on deck next to dock.
Our only disappointment was the size of the oven. It's sort of a "mini" size, which isn't great for any kind of normal family cooking. Also, the house gets fairly warm in the late afternoon due to the sun. No amount of adjusting the aC therm. could fight the sun!
In spite of these minor glitches, my family would return in a heartbeat!

The layout of the house was perfect. Each room had its own bathroom, each side of the house had 2 bedrooms and each side of the house had its own thermostat. It was such a big spacious living area. Perfect for two 4 year olds and two toddlers to run around. The pool was amazing. The dock was the best though. The second we dropped a fishing line in the water, we pulled out 10 small fish. The kids were entertained the entire week! Read more

Great rental house with 4 bdrms, each having its own bathroom. Plenty of linens but the bath towels were looking a little worn. The kitchen was well stocked and quite large. The living room is also big with 3 comfy couch's and a daybed to relax on. Every room had its own color scheme and tropical art work. Felt like you were in the Caribbean! The view of Bimini Bay from the living room and the adjacent deck is amazing! Nothing like watching the sun come up over the bay! And the moon shining off the water at night is a great way to end the day! Fishing off the deck was fun as well as watching the manatee and dolphins. Pool area was nice. There was a table, chairs and umbrella but the lounge chairs were quite worn out. Could use some updating. Just off the kitchen and adjacent to the pool area is a huge picnic table. The location from the beach was app. 4 blocks but we walk alot and ride bikes so no problem. Bicycle rental, grocery, eateries, shopping and the pier are only a few blocks away as well as the rental company who by the way were friendly, helpful, and always available should you need them. (We had an issue with the smoke alarm but it was taken care of immediately.) Would definitly stay here again. My only suggestion would be a hot tub! Thats always a nice addition to a vacation!
Fun, relaxing, lots of fishing, nice dinners enjoyed

Honey Fish is the second Pineapple home we have stayed in. We loved the location and the access to the bay. The kids absolutely loved the fishing and using the crab cage!!! What a bonus to have that available. I recommended this home for our friends next year. We are staying in Mint Fish next year! Can't wait
Over all we had a lovely stay and felt very comfortable in the Honey Fish. I did want to point out that the bath towels are getting rather old and there were limited wash clothes on hand. We saw a number of palmeto bugs in the house and just wanted to suggest spraying. Finally the shower in the master is very nice and the no door is very dramatic, but the floor infront of the shower gets soaked and slippery. I would consider putting a door on it for safety and practicality.
Please understand we loved the home but I felt it important to let you know these couple things. You folks have beautiful homes. They all are very luxurious and I know you work hard to keep the standards and image high. Therefore I decided to share:) Read more

The house was fantastic with an outstanding water view of Bimini Bay, whether inside the house or outside all you could see was water. We had a boat charter come right to our dock to pick us up for a day of fishing and we had pet dolphin who came right up to our dock (six feet away) most evenings as well as lots of fish to see. The layout of the house is spacious and gives everyone their needed privacy. The living area is a great room for entertaining and being together while not being on top of each other. The only unfortunate part was there is a new house being built next door and construction started at 7:00 a.m. which hindered our quiet time and a bit of our privacy. When that house is complete, Honeyfish will be perfect again.
Fabulous but check out what's happening next door.

We stayed here in august 4-11 2010 for 1 week after a hectic week of Disney. We are a family of 5 from the UK with three children 17, 14 and 11.
The villa and location is fabulous being a large luxury 4 bed villa on the water with beautiful views. The villa pictures don't do it justice. You do pay high prices for the luxury and location (we paid $2500/week plus some overheads) but its worth it. We spent a lot of time fishing from the dock, swimming in the pool and relaxing. The villa is close to anna Maria's amazing beach, great local restaurants and Two Scoops Ice Cream shop (best ice cream I've tasted) and two piers. By the end of the week we had a thoroughly relaxing week and would recommend anna Maria Island and Honeyfish to others.
Unfortunately, we did have an initial problem with some fencing and construction work being done in the lot next door when we first arrived which initially spoilt our vacation mood. This work was as a result of the lot being split off from Honeyfish (Note: the Citrus trees and adjoing garden are no more!) and was supposed to have been finished by the time we arrived. The Sato/Pineapplefish agent (Liza) was very accomodating and helped to smooth our concerns, but for the first two days we did have noise and visual intrusion from workmen and machinery. I doubt this may happen to others and we were just unlucky with our timing, but a rebate would have been appropriate for the disruption. If you are thinking of booking Honeyfish check that construction work on the 'Million Dollar' property next door is not going to adversely affect your vacation. Read more

Thank you very much indeed for your comments. Since your feedback, we have been in constant discussion with the builder who is indeed developing a property next door to Honeyfish. At the moment the work is on hold awaiting permit approvals, but is likely to commence again in Jan/Feb of 2011. Fortunately, the build is behind what is the main focus and outlook of the property, so the views across Bimini Bay is unspoiled by any build work. The contractor has also been improving the landscaping in the areas that do overlook the building work, putting in further fencing as was being done during your stay, so that this will hide as much as possible views of the building work from where it can be seen.
It is planned that building work will be completed as quickly as possible, and unfortunately, like any company offering rentals, we cannot control what happens around in the land around. However, from your comments, as well as advising potential guests of the situation we now also have a constantly updated schedule on the project, so that we can also share detailed status ongoing.
We hope that we will be able to welcome you back to Pineapplefish again in the near future!
This was such a beautiful place to have my wedding.

4 of us enjoyed 2 weeks, with flawless Florida weather, in the Honeyfish villa. The sedate pace of life, the perfect villa location and the friendly people combined to make this a truly relaxing "get away from it all" vacation. The amenities offered by the villa were perfect, from the deck, to the pool, to the kitchen, bedrooms and living room - everything was absolutley beautiful and conducive to total comfort and relaxation.
Even Better Than The Pictures

My extended family all stayed in Honeyfish for a week this past February.
We had plenty of room for four couples and two children under two. The
house is just as lovely as the pictures. Everything was very well maintained
and thoughtfully appointed. We had a few small glitches with the house.
The rental company that manages the house was very receptive and fast at
responding to our needs (their office is just about 2 blocks away). We had to
move a few chotchkies out of the reach of little people and put some plug
covers in. Other than that, we had very few concerns about having small
children there. The doors shut tightly, lock and there is an alarm on the
door to the pool.
The house is not on the beach, but it is right on a great view of the canals
as they come together. Even though it was cool while we were there there
was almost always someone out on the back patio enjoying the sun. The
side patio and pool also have nice hedges around them to afford some
privacy while all the benefit of the direct sun. The walk to the beach on
either side of the island is extremely fast (and being at the end of the block
it was very quiet and secluded). The house was very clean when we got
there. The kitchen is huge and has PLENTY of space. The kitchen appliances
are new and nice. The dining table has a nice self storing leaf if you want
something smaller. There is a nice washer and drier (better than many you
find in rental spaces). The small orchard has wonderful citrus trees that
made for a restful quick walk or a fun play area for kids. The back patio is a
lovely sitting area and the grill was great for our needs. Each bedroom has
its own flat screen tv and all but one of the bedrooms has the bathroom en
suite (the other is just outside the door.) The beds were pretty comfortable,
particularly for a rental.
I would recommend this place for any family getaway. Read more

Anna Maria is such a beautiful island, the beaches are fantastic, the people so friendly, and the home we stayed in - Honeyfish, one of the Pineapplefish Villas - was fantastic. Brilliant decor, great location (especially if you like boating), and really great service from the owners and staff.
Next time we're going to book Limefish - the pictures on the Pineapplefish website look gorgeous!
Tampa isn't far away for loads of things to do - we went to the water park and Busch Gardens - great fun!!
