This rental had everything we wanted and more.
It lies in a heritage area, with its own dock at the back, beyond the good sized pool. There are many restaurants within walking distance and a free bus which runs the length of the island. The location is quiet, with wonderful views across and down the canal to the rear. Beaches are 300 yds away.
The house has a lift from the double garage to the second floor, big enough for a wheelchair and the fitted kitchen has a unique built in dining table which makes for a superb open feel to the living area.
The atmosphere is of a top quality family home rather than a rental and anna Maria Island has a wonderful welcoming attitude to visitors. We joined in the early morning tennis club (2 blocks from the house) and they couldn't have been friendlier. (there's a good deal of banter!)Response from Rosalind - 11/10/2011

This house was absolutely perfect for us on our first trip to anna Maria. We had a family of three (2 adults, 1 teen) and a family of four (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 child) stay at this wonderful home and it was a great setup! Each couple had their own master suite and the kids had their bedrooms. The kitchen and family room were large so we could hang out together there. The kids enjoyed the pool and the adults loved basking in the sun. I loved being within walking distance of the beaches and shops. Beach Bums was so convenient for us to rent bikes and kayaks!! We are already planning our trip for next year! This is a fabulous house with all the conveniences that you could ever expect and some that you didn't expect! We would not hesitate to stay here again!
