We are located on the desirable family friendly island of Anna Maria. The house is direct beach front on the quiet upmarket north end of the island. The property is of a very high standard and is positioned approximately 300 meters from the sea and is the best side and end of the island.
If this review was based solely on the accommodation it would receive full marks however there is a problem with service!
When we arrived, we weren’t met at the arranged time by Stephanie the house manager, and therefore had to ring her mobile several times before being given a 4 digit code to key in to the front door. Although this saves carrying a key around, in my opinion anyone knowing the code could gain access to the house which also doesn’t have a burglar alarm for guests to use. There is also no safe for passports, money and valuables!
The cutlery, dishes and glassware needed re-washing as they weren’t clean. There was some sand in the pool, but being British we didn’t complain, we just got on with it. At 5am in the morning the Fire alarms went off, that evening it happened again! The following day, 2 different repair men came out and changed the batteries. The owner Nigel offered to compensate us $100 for this disruption, very generous considering we paid over $5,000 for the week. Finally after several emails he begrudgingly returned $500 for this inconvenience and stated that ‘In Florida there is no legal address for this sort of claim’, a nice touch.
The owners have a set of rules for good stewardship, put the trash out, no sand in the house, leave as you find it etc. they will return $200. We fully compiled with these instructions! The owner then wrongly accused us of breaking a blender which we didn’t even use and leaving sanding in the swimming pool which is absolute rubbish. It seems clear that he wanted some of his $500 back!
We have rented many properties and travelled around the Globe and anna Maria Island is a great place to holiday, don’t be put off by this honest review, we will go back some day but not to this rental. -

Four couples who have been friends like cousins for over 30 years, thoroughly enjoyed our stay on in this gorgeous and breathtaking home on the Gulf of Mexico! The vistas were spectacular, the home is incredible, comfortable and tasteful. Everything we imagined and much more were at our fingertips in the house and the surrounding environment. We want to return...Soon!

My Family and I rented this home for the last week of august 2012. First of all, as you know, Isaac was also threatening a visit during this time. We had to delay our trip by a couple of days to make sure that we were not going to end up in a hurricane.. To say that the owner was easy to work with an accommodating through out all of the drama is an understatement. We were very satisfied with how we were treated.
Secondly, this home is a special place on the best part of anna Maria. The home is well designed with wonderful details that make such a difference. The Beds are very comfortable and the finishes through out are exactly what you would want in your own beach home. Modern and quality with just the right amount of beach attitude. So many porches to enjoy the spectacular view while relaxing in top notch comfortable designer furniture. Though you do not have to go out on the porch to admire the view. Cooking in this top of the line kitchen looking out the floor to ceiling windows at the ocean made a chore seem like a pleasure.
Third has to be the bottom floor pool, spa and outdoor kitchen. We enjoyed this space every single day. Such a great place to cool off after a day at the beach and be able to be outside, but also escape the sun a little. The design of this space deserves an award!
The proximity to restaurants and shops was also ideal. We had a wonderful vacation and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable, upscale and relaxing vacation. Thank you Nigel and Maggie for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Nigel and Maggie's house is absolutely wonderful. We stayed there for 3 weeks in November. The house has been designed and built as their own home and is immaculate with top range appliances, beautiful decor and every conceivable luxury. The views of the beach, where the house is situated, are simply stunning with a choice of balconies where you can sit to admire the views. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning to the spectacular ocean view and the sound of the surf and to eat breakfast on the balcony with these views.

This is a beautiful beach "home". We've rented many houses from Key West to Hawaii, and this is our favorite. Perfect for a large family. Many decks to sit on a watch a sunset. A hundred feet to the gorgeous white sand beach. One of the best and most relaxing weeks our family has ever had. Anna Maria is a great community, very relaxed. Nigel and Maggie (Owners) and Stephanie (Property Manager) were a joy to do business with. We will be back. Thank you for letting us stay in your home for a week.

Quiet, comfortable, and well appointed...this home has it all. Beautiful sunsets from the private oceanfront deck and plenty of space for family and friends.
We have rented numerous vacation homes and this home is one of the best.

The owner's description of this villa as comfortable and relaxing is an understatement. The amenities are world-class and show the love put into this home. The beach is pristine, the shopping and restaurants on anna Marie Island are very good with all price ranges. A short walk down the beautiful beach brings you to one very good beach-front restaurant. While a car would be best to enjoy the whole area, it is easy to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. A free trolley is also available to enjoy the whole length of the island. The quiet beach location and luxurious amenities provided us a memorable island getaway.

Our week at anna Maria Island was just fantastic! The beach home was absolutely perfect, spacious, immaculate, beautifully decorated and stocked, a kitchen to die for that included every appliance or utensil you could need. Sitting on the balconies (it did not matter which one) and watching the world go by was heavenly. Plenty of space for multiple families - as well as privacy. Good restaurants around. Be sure to visit St. Armands Circle in Sarasota for lots of great shopping and dining. The elevator saves lots of walking up and down the stairs. The water is a short walk down a tramped down beach access.
