The history of fishing, from the earliest times to the present day, can be remembered by a visit to the Scottish Fisheries Museum. Anstruther is now a bustling town with a variety of shops, pubs and excellent restaurants, mainly specialising in seafood.
Anstruther is an ideal stepping off point for sea angling trips, or visiting the Isle of May Nature Reserve on the ‘May Princess’.

Just back from a short break at Sea Stocks, very enjoyable. Owner friendly and helpful, apartment warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. A good place to explore East Neuk of Fife from; absolutely delighted.!

At the first sight we were charmed by the appartment. The kitchen smelled fresh baked muffins made by alison, our kind hostess. We staid for a wonderful week of golf and had just few miles away from a lot of beautiful golf courses including St-Andrews. A charming 9-holes nearby let us conclude our golf days when we didn't have enough. We would return to Seastock without hesitation and recommand it for any golf quatuor or just people in vacation in Scotland.

On arrival, the owner alison showed us around the house. The rooms were bright and comfortable.There was every amenity in the house that we could possibly want or need during our stay (there was even some home-baking left for us!) We loved the proximity to the sea and accessibility of many local walks and eating places. The location was peaceful. We would use this house again.

We can highly recommend Seastocks as a place to stay. It is lovely house, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The owners are charming and very welcoming. We loved our stay in the town and met such lovely people there. Recommend the morning coffee at the town community centre. Also the fish and chips! Lovely countryside and coastal drive/walks. This was our first holiday in Scotland and our stay made us want to return, which we shall.
