This was my second visit to Seki Cottages which says it all really because I very rarely go back somewhere I've been before. But Seki is exceptional and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The cottages have been extremely well designed and furnished and the owner, Onur, clearly has an eye for detail. They are well equipped and all household necessities are provided along with a welcome pack of basic foodstuffs. So on arrival you can settle in straightaway and relax in the beautiful gardens within which the cottages are set or by the large, beautifully maintained pool. Onur is the perfect hostess and nothing is too much trouble for her. The cottages are within easy access of the sea (5 miles) but my preference is to explore the real Turkey which means turning round and heading inland to discover the many hidden delights. Onur can tell you all about them!

The cottages are beautifully appointed and set in luxuriant gardens of trees, bushes and flowers with a magnificent pool from which you have an almost 180 degree panoramic view down the hills over the sea. It is an ideal location from which to visit the classical ruins in the area, of which many more are accessible now than they were in our first visit to the area 40 years ago. The coastal strip has been largely spoiled by package tour development but we found quiet beaches where the Manavgat River reaches the sea, and a splendid restaurant (Kazan) on the banks of the Manavgat between the town and the sea. The coastal road is a very busy highway now, but easily provides access to coast and ruins. Do not miss Selge up in the hills. The cottage owner, Onu altayli, met us late at night and proved extremely kind an hospitable. If you want to see some of the best classical ruins in the world, and you don't want a package hotel, you would be hard pressed to find a better location as a base. We would definiteely go again

Left on 07/10/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We spent 4 nights at the Seki cottages, and should have stayed a week. Onur altayli the owner could not have been more helpful re anythng regarding the cottages, local sights and even helped coordinate our rental car dropoff. The cottage itself was absolutely charming - carefully and tastefully appointed, with the fridge already stocked with basic neccessities. The private pool was wonderful to come home to after a hot day out sightseeing, and the gardens of the property were a serene and peaceful environment as well as providing fresh mulberries for breakfast!
The location, being some 20 mins out of town, was just perfect as a haven from the nearby busy, tourist thronged resorts. We'd recommend Seki cottages to anyone as a base to tour the area, and are grateful to Onur for all her assistance before and during our stay. -

If you enjoy stepping off the beaten track and love to immerse yourself in culture seki cottages could not be more perfect. For those of us who had a mis-spent youth backpacking but now with 2.4 children it provides the holiday balance we crave!! The cottages are immaculate, veiws sublime and the facilities are everything a young family could wish for. What put this holiday head and shoulder above others was Onur who was the consummate hostess. Seki is perfectly placed for exploring some truely amazing sites and the roads once you get the hang of them are easy to navigate. I meant what I said it really is a little piece of heaven.

I went with three friends to stay at these amazing cottages. Our hostess met us with olives picked from her garden and invited us to fresh figs from her trees. This was one of the most relaxing vacations that I have ever taken, in such a beautiful location. It is worth the drive from the airport and I am glad we were away from the crowds in Side. I recommend these cottages unreservedly--for families with kids who love to swim, romancing couples, writers in need of quiet and inspiration, and runners (the trails on the mountain above the house were great!). I will definitely be back!

Left on 01/09/2012 for a stay in July 2011
A very charming vacation rental in an idyllic village/hamlet atmosphere. Beautifully landscaped the grounds are breathtaking with fantastic views of the countryside. The large pool is beautiful with views of the luxurious greens, fruit trees and the valley below. Above all, the beauty of the cottage, a renovated typical village home is an esthetic delight, designed and decorated with great detail in all aspects:, beauty, comfort and modern convenience. The ambiance was soothing and in great harmony with the surroundings and culture.
Simply the most gorgeous vacation rental on many levels, due in large part to the impeccable taste, detail and dedication of the owner/hostess. Madame Onur altayli is a wonderful and charming person whose discrete, warm and welcoming presence offered useful, helpful and interesting information in all respects. Turkish hospitality in its finest! An absolute oasis of beauty, we hope to return. -

Our week at Seki Cottages was very relaxing. It was a very great base for exploring surrounding areas of historical & gergraphic importance. It is located in the foothills behind the tourist areas of Side. The two floor renovated cottage is very private ad the gardens are very well maintained. The swimming pool is shared with one other cottage. A hire care is necessary. Perhaps a 15 minute drive to local supermarket. We explored the local area on the advice of the very helpful owner who lives close by who recommended sites to suit our tastes. Cottage is well appointed with two large double bedrooms and all mod cons in kitchen area. WiFi access.

My family and I spent a week at Seki cottages in early May and it was a perfect week! The house, the garden, the pool, everything was great... we had fresh oranges, citrus and grapefruits each day and Onur was a very good hostess. The kids did not want to leave! We strongly recommend it to anybody who wants to spend a week in the south of Turkey. Many places to see, the beach is 15 minutes away and the mountains are nearby.
The rooms and beds were very comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped and we even had access to bikes and kids games.
The pool has a great view and is large, a lot of fun for all the family.

I would say in brief that it is almost impossible to find an authentic place furnished with original abstracts in a user friendly way and fully equipped for staying needing nothing. Plus the garden full of lemon and orange trees, birds are singing and splendid cascade with two naturally formed pools (they called büvet). The place and cottages are gorgeous. It is ideal to leave behind your daily life and spend some time in this paradise. You would always wanted to come back. Be careful for addiction :)

This is a piece of paradise! Elegantly furnished cottages equipped with everything you could possibly need; peaceful and private; beautiful gardens; homely pets; magnificent swimming pool and the most hospitable hostess one could imagine!
This is the perfect place to utterly relax, up in the hills and a little away from the tourist-clogged beach resorts, yet close enough to be an easy drive to restaurants, markets, shops and beaches.
The place is highly photogenic too; I'm still sorting through all the photos I took!
Onur, thank-you for making our getaway and, most especially, my birthday, such a wonderful treat! We really appreciate how you went out of your way for us and made it very special.

Left on 04/02/2010 for a stay in September 2009
It was indeed a run-away vacation from the racing time. At Seki's cottage, time seemd to have stopped and lost its way through the warmth and the serenity of the cottage's atmosphere as well as the beauty of nature.
What makes this cottage so unique is the amount of love and attention that Onur had put in every inch of it. So many thoughtful details and artistic touches make you feel as if you're in your dream home. At least, this is what i felt the moment i stept my foot into the cottage.
I went with my parents in September 2009 and we had a great time chilling in the lovely garden, swimming at the well maintained pool while enjoying the gorgeous view, spending quality time with each other, playing cards, domino and so many other games that were available at the cottage. Not to mention the splendid tea time we had with the greatest host, Onur! The services and attention offered at Seki cottage made us feel as if we were the house guests and not only clients.
What we loved the most about the cottage was SIMPLY every thing! The only missing thing was a close by beach. If Seki cottage was on a beach, it would have been a little heaven on earth!
Now, don't waste your time reading reviews on Seki cottage, just go and you will understand what i'm talking about. ENJOY. Sezar -

Dundee, ScotlandEnchanting Holiday Experience
Left on 02/24/2010 for a stay in December 2009
Our stay in Onur's Seki Cottages was indeed an absolute and thrilling experience, but equally real and lasting, as it keeps following me within my dreams and desires as a place to revert. The cottage itself seemed to me like a petit and beautiful palace, situated within a little Turkish village and designed in a traditional antique fashion. The place made me feel home, but yet still so special!
The most amazing feature of our holidays in the Seki Cottages, was however the present balance and interrelation between the most material features of an excellent vacation: Tools of comfort, a mass of nature, adventure, history, relaxation, beauty, luxury and even company and association. Not to mention the friendly villager from next door, who treats you like a close friend and spoils you with all kinds of self-cultivated food, or Onur, an most interesting and welcoming lady and owner of the Seki cottages, who just by herself seems to be a reason to travel all the way to Seki - Antalya. Thence, for anyone not desiring to get lost within an artificial locus of mass tourism, this would, I believe, be one of the most beautiful, real and unique places for holidaymaking... -

thanks to the kind hospitality of the landlady Onur, Seki Cottage is more than a
tasteful and quiet holiday residence close to many interesting sights of
souhtern Turkey.
The pittoresk cottage is located in the midst of a beautyful garden with a giant
pool and endless panoramic view over the whole coastline. The openminded
welcome of thevillage neigborhoud made us feel like we had been there
several times before.
Onur herself helped whenever we asked, with detailed and competent
information about our host country. She was a wunderful guide to many
hidden places and routes off the beaten tracks and let us spend some
unforgetable weeks in Seki.
When we had to leave, we left a real friend. No doubt that we`ll come back.

We really enjoyed our stay in Seki.
Within easy reach of the region's many historical sites and areas of natural beauty, Onur's stone cottages leave no wish open.
Our house was spacious and stylishly furnished with great attention to detail. The large kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, the bathroom and the two bedrooms upstairs were just perfect.
The large swimming pool amidst Onur's beautiful gardens offers stunning views on the surrounding Taurus hillsides, the Mediterranean landscape and the Sea.
Onur is a perfect example of Turkish hospitality, very polite and obliging and truly helpful - making our stay an unforgettable experience.
It is good to have car is when you want to visit the numerous historical sites. If you just want to relax, this quiet place away from mass tourism is ideal, too.
We highly recommend Onur's cottages without reserves and regretted the day when we had to leave.
Thanks Onur for a marvellous week in Southern Turkey! -

London, EnglandA delightful, peaceful retreat in the beautiful hills near Seki
Left on 02/08/2010 for a stay in October 2008
From the beginning of our stay, right to the end we were treated in a truly first class fashion by our lovely host, Onur. Her stone cottages are very pretty and the gardens are something else. Everything inside and outside is how one would wish it. There is an abundance of ancient sites to visit in the area. The best thing is that many are not widely known (sssshhh!) so you might be the only ones around. There are many nature walks possible too. Onur is very knowledgeable and she was happy to recommend places to see, where to buy good food, where to eat out etc. This was crucial as Side itself is a little spoiled from mass tourism, but there is so much more to this area than Side. I will never forget the fantastic days we spent in Seki and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to people looking for a true taste of Turkey.
