Description from the owner

This magnificent old town house has charm and style a plenty, from its four split levels, its fabulous beamed ceilings to its roof terrace. This property has character to spare. Situated in a quaint pedestrian street in the old town of Antibes, it is surrounded by restaurants, shops and cafes. You are within a few minutes walk of everything that Antibes has to offer. The ground floor entrance leads you through the hall into the long and superbly furnished lounge with ancient beamed ceiling and a fabulous fire place, not that you'll need it, but nice to look at. The well fitted kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, full...Read more

Great town and location - average apartment

Left on 02/20/2013 for a stay in June 2012

We enjoyed our stay in antibes, and the apartment location was perfect, but we were a bit disappointed of the apartment.
      * prior leaks or insufficient laundry of wash cloths left the apartment with a nasty smell (we tried drying the wash cloths and placing them on the terrace, but it took a week and some air fresheners to make the stay in the living room comfortable)
      * Apartment was not a clean as we would hope and have been used to when renting apartments in other parts of France northern and southern Spain.
      * The living room was a bit different than illustrated on the site, the living room is pictured differently than the actual layout, as there was an extra sofa in the living room. This makes it very difficult to seat more than 3 persons when eating. We planned on making some dinners in house, but being 6 persons for half our stay, this was impossible with the extra sofa.

It didn't help to have a massive leak in the bathroom, and having plumbers etc visiting our apartment at least 4 of the days.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

It is unfortunate that there were plumbing problems during your stay - occasionally these things happen that are beyond our control. In this instance, there was a problem with the plumbing to the bath which caused a leak down into the kitchen, We did do our best however to call out plumbers and get this rectified, working around you wherever possible since we felt that this was preferable to not having the problem repaired. We also offered the option of moving to another property at the time.

We are a little surprised about the comments concerning the linens and cleanliness - all guests receive a personal check in and are told that should anything be amiss, then they can call at any time and we will try to rectify the problem.

We can only apologise and hope that the charms of the house and the fantastic location of the house, as well as the beautiful setting of Antibes, more than made up for these small inconveniences.

This villa will have some modifications done to the ground floor in June 2013, one of them is to have a new kitchen fitted. We will take your points into consideration with regards to having a bigger dining area :-)

Should you wish to return to Antibes, then I am sure you would leave more than satisfied.

      Kind Regards

We were thrilled with our little house in he heart of old antibes. The location was absolutely perfect, right in the hub of old town. The house offered a perfect refuge from the hustle and bustle. It was comfortable and cozy. After long days of sightseeing, we would relax each evening before and after dinner on the 3rd floor terrace with a nice bottle of wine easily procured steps from V03's front door. The house went a long way toward making us feel like residents rather than guests or tourists. Thank you!!!

We had a really lovely stay in apartment in antibes.
We fell in love with this place as we passed a door step. We stayed there with family of 3 children, it felt like home. You can hear the old antibes noise, but in a very good way... There is a restaurant next door. Around the corner there is a brasserie. It's really warm and welcome place in heart of old antibes.

      A home from home

A stone's throw from the old town of antibes, its beaches, and the essential amenities of supermarkets, whilst being tucked away on a quiet pedestrian street. Our young children don't have far to walk home from the beach in the evening, but don't get disturbed by the noisier streets close by. The house is well equipped. It's layout is flexible allowing separate space for kids to play and adults to relax. We like to think of it as our house in antibes - for a week-or-two a year anyway.

Great spot in the old town.

Left on 02/11/2013 for a stay in September 2012

We had a great time in this charming little house, thank goodness it had a great sunny balcony and sun roof up stairs as the other two floors were fairly dark. But very comfortable and clean.

The location was just fantastic, a delightful stroll through the lane ways to the port and around the corner plenty of cafe's and shops.

      We would stay here again.

This is a traditional house that many of us would like to own. Quirky, in need of a little tlc with all the life and charm that allows one to be a part of the old town. The property managers are helpful and were great with collecting us from the airport and giving us a few pointers.
