We booked 2 houses in this complex #5 & #12 for 4 nights for a large group of friends that came down for our engagement party. While my fiancee's family is from antigua, we chose to stay with our guests as we too flew in for the event.
The booking and communication process with Hernan was great and simple. The property is a bit hard to find at first so i highly recommend his pick-up service. Transfers from the airport were $45 up to 3 people and well worth it. Great driver's who were pleasant, with new cars/vans and were on time. Our group all arrive don different flights so it made it very easy to know all would be brought to the hotel or other places we were meeting.
There is ample parking if you rent a car (under the complex) and it is free and there is security 24hrs and a gate that can only be opened by them which made it all very secure and extremely quiet at night which made for restful sleeps after great parties.
The bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms were well equipped for cooking (take advantage of their grocery buying service...we didn't and wasted 2 hrs at Bodegona trying to get all we needed but in the end worked out great). There are 3 very good restaurants literally 100 yards away including Panza Verda so if you want to go pick up food you can.
One house's internet was out so we used the wifi in the other and we had a great tv with lots of channels.
Overall we loved it. -

My entire family of adult children and spouses spent varying amounts of the month of December visiting Guatemala, using antigua as a base. Having a house we could all comfortably fit into and a kitchen made the stay easy and less expensive than rooms in a hotel and also allowed us to be adventurous in the market and experimental in the kitchen, which was great fun for a family of cooks.
The manager was very helpful during the process of renting the house over the internet.
This is a lovely house with a variety of spaces, including an upstairs veranda with a fabulous view. It is walking distance to the plaza or the market or easy to catch a tuk-tuk or cab back with your purchases.
There were downsides. Winter nights are chilly and the only heat is a fireplace in one room. We assume my daughter's Ipod was taken by the maid's helper. It is a poor country; we should have been more careful to put valuables away during cleaning.
