Very peaceful place to relax, lovely comfortable villa. High standard of service provided by all members of staff. Was nice to be met at the airport by the air conditioned luxury transport, and taking advantage of the complimentary service ino the beach resort each day. Will defenitly be returning.

The property is beautiful but for us the location let it down. You are completely dependent on the mobile phone provided and the contact numbers it provides but we were let down a few times by the TUK TUK service and the first time we used the restaurant option they advised us that they couldn't provide the shuttle service that we were led to believe would be available. We appreciate that things will go wrong occasionally but we found that over the 2 weeks we were forever hanging about waiting on the Tuk Tuk. When we phoned the quickest time we were ever given was 15 minutes and on holiday we like to be spontaneous and just go.
We booked a boat trip through Krabi Villas and after the trip we had to drive around ao Nang for over an hour in a Tuk Tuk because the driver had no idea where the villa is.
Even if we had wanted to get an alternative taxi and pay for the convenience of not having to wait - we couldn't because the driver wouldn't know the villa location.
As we've said we thought the villa and gardens were exceptional but it must be noted that there is now construction ongoing at the front (Small house?) and at the rear a larger project
The staff we met at the villa were excellent, very friendly and always willing to help.
The boat trip I mentioned previously I can't recommend, the islands that we visited were small and very crowded with other tourists. You are not allowed to use your sandals/flip flops on the boat because they don't want any problems with sand being carried on to the boat. This means that you spend the day with your bare feet walking over beaches with lots of broken coral & shells - not comfortable! We had no reasonable snorkelling opportunities and the boatman advised that since the 2004 Tsunami the coral was damaged and most of the fish have moved on. We were taken to the larger island called Poda where you are given some very basic lunch and left to wander about for an hour. To be honest after you've taken a few pictures there's nothing to do but swim, however the sea has lots blackened wood floating about. The Thai people running the tours (there must have been at least twenty boats there when we were there) use wood fires to heat the lunch and the charred remains of the fires end up in the sea.

To respond to your other comments, Mountain View Villa as per our website is set in natural location next to a national park (remote) but still only 10 minutes away from the more busy resort of Ao nang, this is what makes it so appealing to most of our guests, natural privacy but close to the hustle and bustle if needed, then quickly escape from it all and relax in your own private villa..
Our tuk tuk service timings are given via e-mail requests and upon arrival plus also written in the villa information folder, that it can take approximately 20 minutes after the request is made for the tuk tuk to arrive, this depends on the location of the tuk tuks when requested, normally this is not a problem as most guests are relaxed at the villa and do not need or want the quick up and go feel.
Mountain View Villa is set in special location which is becoming a desirable place to reside for obvious reasons “ Natural paradise ” so at present there is some minor construction work going on for a limited period in the local neighborhood but this is not visible from the walled and matured tropical garden private pool villa of Mountain View.
The local islands and their beaches are best visited during the months between November and March to appreciate their outstanding beauty, however in the low season during your visit the weather and sea conditions can be rough causing debris to be collected on the beaches.
We would recommend that you read the website listing in full of the property that you wish to rent, i.e.. is it remote and relaxing or busy up and go, to avoid any disappointment in the future.

We stumbled upon this villa on tripadvisor and liked the description on the webpage.
We contacted Mr Mark Rollins via his website www.krabivillasltd.com and he was helpful with the queries that we had.
We paid upfront via the villarenters website-- there is the option to put either a security deposit of take out a nonrefunddable insurance on it and we did the latter. No problems with the process.
The excellent service started with the meet and greet at the airport. We requested to stop by tesco lotus to buy some provisions en route to the villa.This served us well as there are no shops nearby the villa.
To be honest , I was a bit worried as we approached the villa, winding through the forest-but the sight of the villa arrested all my fears-it was beautiful and tranquil!!
Mr Rollins was there to greet us and brief us on the house.
We were given a handphone with preprogrammed numbers so that we could call the owners if we needed assistance.
For dining, there is a nearby reataurant "Kor Bua" that has a complimentary door to door transfer service from villa to restaurant and vice versa.
However the hightlight would be the in villa dining- we opted this out of convenience but were pleasantly suprised at the delicious homemade food that Nang cooked up. It was a luxury being able to eat in the peaceful surroundings of our own home.
My main reason in chosing this villa (other than the beautiful website pictures) are the seamless transfers provided.It is in a remote location but this is not a problem as there are 2 daily (to and fro x 2 times) transfers to aonang/nearby beaches. This keeps it fairly accessible.
We found Mark and team to be extremely welcoming. We were thrilled by the beauty of the villa-lots of plants and flowers in the gardens and bathrooms.A lot of rental properties tend to be sparsely furnished but not this one!! I think this particular property belongs to Mr Rollins himself.
It was great to chill out in the pool, watch Dvds in the living rooms and watch the break of dawn from the garden.
And there is internet connection too...
And daily housecleaning service kept it spotless!
Highly recommended!!!

I found this villa on Tripadvisor, and through all the great reviews decided that this place would be perfect for our trip to Thailand. We contacted the manager and received great responses over every inquiry we had. We were very excited for the trip.
Now, to be honest, as the trip approached I was slightly nervous because when I tried finding the place on google map images, it doesn't show up as anything but a jungle and a field (the maps on google are old, don't trust them). Plus, since we were flying straight in to Phuket International airport (about 2 hours away) and had arranged to be picked up and had no alternatives in mind if nobody was there, I was definitely nervous. I hoped all the positive reviews were real! Thankfully, they were.
We were greeted at the airport with great enthusiasm! We were offered water and snacks for the ride and taken to a store to buy some food and snacks for the villa. At the villa we were greeted even more and shown around where everything was and, like everyone else says, given a cell phone with everyone's numbers preprogrammed and just wonderful sweetness.
The pictures do not do the villa justice, it is so much more beautiful than photos can show. The yard is huge and the pool is perfect. There is wifi so we could post photos for people back home!
We were also worried about the distance from ao Nang. But, there were bicycles to ride if you're in decent shape, and the complimentary transfers. My wife and I decided, however, to rent a scooter from ao Nang, so we took the complimentary tuk tuk to ao Nang where the driver helped us rent a scooter (have I mentioned how helpful the staff is?) which was incredibly cheap to rent for our entire stay. We also found ourselves spending more time at the beach in Klong Muang which is much closer to the villa (easy bicycling distance) than ao Nang (which we went to for shopping and restaurants). In Klong Muang was a very nice man running an independent long boat, so no lines or tickets like ao Nang, who was also extremely helpful.
The elephants do indeed walk by in the mornings or you can even walk down to see them, because they are very close! The villa is beautifully secluded away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas, so if that's what you want this might not be the best, but for us it was purely relaxing and wonderful. The service was amazing and the staff was like having close friends to talk to and help out, it was hard to say goodbye. How often do you miss your typical hotel staff?
The worst thing I can say about this place is that it has ruined me in my future travels, because nothing will ever be as good as this place and I will always be missing it! I'm almost tearing up writing this and thinking about it! The last day I just walked around the villa trying to take everything in and trying to soak my memory with it. I have never been so sad to go home in my entire life and a large part of that is because of this villa and its staff. Thanks to everyone there! -

I'm almost hesitant to write this review because I don't want anyone to find out about this place!
Myself and 4 friends stayed here for 3 nights from July 31st and prior to that had gone bonkers trying to find a decent, reasonably priced villa with a pool, that could accommodate 5. I chanced on the website and was a bit hesitant about the location as it's quite a distance from the main ao Nang stretch but thought since they have complimentary transfers, why not?
And let me say, I'm glad i booked this villa! Jeab welcomed us at the airport and let us do some grocery shopping on the way back to the villa. It took about half an hour to get to the villa and I realised it was quite far in so I panicked a bit since we were a group of 5 girls! But then we reached the amazing villa and all my worries just faded away. Nang greeted us at the villa gave us a mobile to use and got us oriented about the premises.
The villa was very clean as was the surrounding areas outside the villa and the pool area. It is nice and airy and the view of the surrounding mountains are so serene and gorgeous. I could have stayed in all 4 days and I would have been happy! Their kitchen was well stocked with utensils for us to cook with. The fridge was well stocked with water.
We had 2 complimentary transfers to and fro ao Nang per day so that worked out great and after a while you kind of enjoy leaving the bustle of ao Nang and the drive back to the villa becomes rather peaceful.
Nang and Jeab will be happy to assist you in any way they can and they were always readily available!
I would go back in a heartbeat! If you're lucky, you'll be able to spot some elephants outside your villa! -

We stayed there for 8 days in july 2011. The villa is just amazing. Very spacius and with a great pool ang very big and beatifull garden. We stayed 5 people (3 adults and 2 children) without any problems. The villa is kept very nice and clean with maidservice and gardner on a daily basis and pool cleaning 2 times a week. The villa has everything you need with 3 tvs, dvd, fully equipped kicthen and a lot of different seating possibilities both inside and outside. The villa is located in a remote area about 15 min. from ao Nang, but there is complimentary shuttle service 2 times every day with return trips to whereever you want to go in the vicinity. The people from Krabi Villas are very nice and serviceminded. This villa recieves our highest recommendation and is a bargin at the price.

Wow. What a place. We were a party of 2 40-ish yr-olds, 2 70-ish yr olds and one 80-ish. And all 5 five of us absolutely loved Mountain View villa. There's really not a bad thing about it. The location is great - so peaceful, and yes, close to the elephants. The garden and pool were simply beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed. At first I was slightly worried that we were too far from shops/ restaurants etc, but in fact the villa was so lovely we didn't want to leave it much. And when we did the complementary tuk-tuk service made it all very easy. Mark and Nang and Jeab were fantastically helpful too, always at hand with answers to any questions. Can't thank them enough. Great holiday.

My partner and I stay at Mountain View for 3 weeks. Everything was of the highest standard. We were met at the airport by 2 of the Krabi Villas staff who took us straight to a large supermarket for shopping. We arrived at the villa to a very warm welcome from Mark and Nang who walked us aroung the villa and explained how everything worked. Nothing was too much trouble. We were given a mobile phone to use if we needed any help with anything. All the staff were really friendly, the cleaners, the gardener and the pool boys. The facilities were first class and the setting was perfect. Such a peacefull location but only 10 mins away from ao Nang. Thanks again to Mark and Nang for making our holiday such a memorable one. We are already looking into our return.

Absolutely superb holiday. The villa exceeeded our expectations and we had the most wonderful holiday. It is situated in the most private, off the beaten track location with just the sounds of nature. My husband and I have just returned from Krabi after staying 7 nights in our own private Villa.
Mountain View villa was our choice after finding it on trip advisor which looked perfect for the two of us.
Once we arrived we couldn't believe that it was even better than the website.
It is just so beautiful, quiet, private and so relaxing.
We had complimentary transport everyday when needed to take us to the beach or to go shopping.
We had 4 meals cooked for us in the Villa by our own private Thai cook, much better than any of the restaurants, my husband would have a swim then jump out for his dinner.
Thank you to all the staff at Krabi Villas for making it the best holiday ever -

i stayed at mountain view earlier this year and was very happy with the natural quality and location. unlike many villas saying private, this is.
the pool has amazing views of the national park.
also the service provided was excellent, everything you require is available.
if you want a really private villa you will not be disapointed. -

If you are looking for the 'perfect' holiday...excellent value...plenty of activities...incredible views...extra-ordinary service...family friendly environment...you cannot go wrong staying with Krabi Villas. Mark and Nang are just the best! From organising activities such as snorkeling to elephant trekking to sea kayaking to restaurant booking to a personal chef in your villa, they were always just a phone call away. I cannot recommend any place I have ever stayed either personally or as a family more than Mountain View. The memories for my family and I will undoubtably last a lifetime!

Wonderful, the villa, gardens and pool were superb, many hours were spent soaking up the sun and beautiful surroundings and yes we did see elephants passing the gate. Mark, Nang and the team were excellent in making our holiday so enjoyable and they were only a phonecall away if needed.
The villa was in a great location, peaceful but not too far away from the tourist areas of Klong Muang, Ao Nang and Krabi etc.
Was our holiday:-
Good value for money?, most definately.
Did it meet our expections?, yes and more.

Ferien im Paradies
Wir haben uns in der Mountain View Villa sehr wohl gefühlt. Es ist der ideale Ort zum Ausspannen und Erholen, fern von Lärm, umgeben von Natur und doch ist man in ca. 6 Minuten mit dem Auto an einem der Strände (z.B. Klong Moung Beach) mit Möglichkeiten zum Essen. Wer es sportlicher mag, kann auch die hauseigenen Mountain Bikes benutzen.
Ein paar Gehminuten entfernt ist das kleine Phunaka Elefantencamp, das „elephantriding“ anbietet.
Die Villa verfügt über alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Die Schlafzimmer sind komfortabel mit ensuite Bädern und haben eine Klimaanlage. Den großen LCD-TV und die Stereoanlage benutzt man eigentlich nicht, die meiste Zeit verbringt man im wunderschönen mit vielen Pflanzen gestalteten Garten. Von Mücken wurden wir nicht geplagt, da die Bepflanzung wohl „mückenfeindlich“ ist.
Der große Pool mit einem Wasserfall lädt schon vor dem Frühstück zu einem erfrischenden Bad ein. Im Garten sind viele Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten, u. a. eine Hängematte. Sehr schön gestaltet ist ein Teich mit kleiner Brücke, eigentlich will man diese wunderschöne Anlage gar nicht verlassen.
Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, doch man nutzt sie nur für das Frühstück, da es in näherer Umgebung verschiedene, sehr gute, preisgünstige Restaurants gibt.
Das Besitzerpaar (Mark und Nang)kümmerte sich sehr liebevoll um uns – wir wurden vom Flughafen abgeholt und erhielten viele wertvolle Tipps. Für den Notfall gibt es auch ein hauseigenes Handy, so dass man sich gut versorgt fühlt.
Wir können diese Anlage ohne Einschränkungen weiterempfehlen.

Warum auch?
Wie wir alle muss auch ich wirklich was leisten fuer mein Geld am Monatsende!
So auch die Leute in den Hotels, Villen, Resorts...
Es ist ihr Job und meist tun sie ihn gut, wie wir alle!
Wenn nicht, warum sollte ich kritisieren, Verbesserungsvorschlaege einbringen usw.?
Booz Allen, McKinsey oder wie sie alle heissen moegen verdienen ein Vermoegen genau damit und ich?
Nun, hier ist es wirklich anders. Die Leute hier (Gaertner, Zimmermaedchen, der Boss selbst)tun nicht nur ihren Job, nein sie leben ihn sogar.
Und das Beste ist, sie lassen einen teilhaben.
In der Hauptrolle.
Wir waren ein Teil ihres Lebens, die Hauptrolle, der absolute Mittelpunkt, in einem 2 Wochenstueck, das alle Belange des Wohlfuehlens, Komforts im paradiesischen Umfeld streifte , ja intensivst beleuchtete.
Ich klatsche noch immer...
Besser geht nicht, nicht wirklich!

Mountain View villa was the perfect location for our Christmas family reunion in Thailand. The villa is set in a very quiet and secluded area of Krabi. The scenery and views surronding the villa are stunning. If you are up early enough in the morning you can see the elephants passing by! During our stay Mark and Nang couldn't do enough for us. They gave us all the information and help we needed with trips, eating out, transport etc. Nothing was too much trouble. The beach and other amenities were not too far away, it took us about 15 minutes in the tuc tuc to get to Ay Nang. We as a family loved spending time in the villa and with such a fantastic pool were quite happy to spend our days there. We had a wonderful holiday and would like to thank Mark and Nang for all their kindness shown to us and making our stay so special. We are looking to come back again very soon.

"This villa was just what my family and I were hoping to find. It is away from town a bit in a quiet, natural area surrounded by rubber plantations, so there was a feeling of seclusion that can be hard to find in Thailands more popular beach areas. Even though we had opted to be away from town a bit, Mark and his staff did an excellent job to make sue that we could parktake in all of the areas attractions with no hassle: arranging tours on short notice, getting us cabs, helping us get groceries, providing bicycles, and even providing a ride from time to time if everything allowed. The property is stunning to be sure (as can be seen from the pictures), but the friendly, attentive service we received from Krabi Villas is what helped to make our experience what it was. If you want privacy and seclusion, but also no fuss access to the things that make Krabi unique, this is the way to do it. Highly recommended."
