We booked the same villa because of a wonderful experience Oct 2010. However this time round the experience was marred by power failures and hoards of mosquitoes which left my 14 month on child waking up with bites all over his body and face. Pest control is definitely an issue and with the changes in power supply, unscheduled power outages became a problem. We had to get out of the villa because water supply relied on electricity and though almost half the island was also affected, its not acceptable for holiday makers who expect at least some comfort for the high price. Overall, staff were friendly and tuk tuk driver was accomodating but paying for mosquito bites and sweaty afternoons inside the villa is not exactly what we were hoping for. We couldn't even cook for the baby. A little investment in an on-site generator would go a long way and guests will feel appreciated. Definitely something KrabiVilla must consider, especially so when the said villa is owned by the same company owner.

The villa is huge and very nice. Open onto the garden and pool is a relaxing place. Away from the main roads, it is easily accessible. Special thanks to Tuk Tuk service (Please Mart!) You can also use the two motorcycle. The reception is very good and the service impeccable. Everything is clean and the people very helpful. We can even book excursions direct, easy and economical.

Our large family stayed at Bann Oriental over the Christmas holiday. We all enjoyed our visit very much. The grounds/house are very well maintained. Service was excellent. Very close to the beach, restaurants, etc.

The villa was very well managed and great attention given to details with focus on user comfort and enjoyment. Attentive service and great response by manager. Only minor thing is the confusion of light switches (so many!)and some electrical outlets/switches not working properly.

We booked this villa last minute as we were due to go to Chiang Mai / Rai but the smog was bad up there. I found Ton Company on tripadvisor and called and spoke to Ching. From that moment onwards, everything was organised for us and we (6 of us) arrived 2 days later.
The villa really is of superb quality. All the mod cons, lovely huge pool, comfortable beds and all the service of a 5 star hotel including local mobile phone and tuk tuk from 9am to 10pm included in the price.
On 1 evening we chose to dine in and have the caterers in. What an amazing experience, 6 chefs / assistants turned up and cooked us a wonderfull Thai meal in our own home of better than restaurant quality for around £15 / €18 / $20 per head, fully served with loads left over for lunch the following day.
The villa is 3km from the centre of ao Nang which is less than 10 min in either the private tuk tuk. If you return after 10pm, it's 50 baht per person with any tuk tuk on the street, try the moped taxi's - they're fun!!
Just up the road within 3 minutes walk is a lovely small resort which is great for food if you don't want to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner yourself, dine in or go out.
Would we return? Absolutely!!
Ching, you really made our 6 night stay extremely comfortable and you listened to everything we wanted.

Our two families stayed at baan oriental for 12 days in dec 2011. The villa is superb - spacious, well maintained and a peaceful haven. All the amenities provided were spot on for families with teenagers. It was fantastic to have a mobile provided to enable us to contract Kree when we required transport. A special mention needs to be given to JJ who looked after us, organised trips and made recommendations. Jj was professional, enthusiastic and helpful at all times and is a real asset to your company. We would have no hesitation in recommending baan oriental or your company to prospective guests - we had a brilliant time!

It's 15 years I'm travelling across Thailand and the 5th time down in Krabi.
This place is the best villa I've ever rent.
The area is very quiet and close to anywere you'd like to go.
House is very well furnished and so comfortable with pool,jacuzzi,TV room,computer,web access,nice bedrooms... -

Having stayed at Baan Oriental several times it's reassuring to know that each trip will be as good as the last one - from the greeting by all the staff (so you get to know them right from the beginning) thru to a goodbye from them all at the end it's such a lovely place to stay. It's not on the beach but the privacy gained more than offsets that and it's only 5 minutes away by the private tuktuk so there's no problem getting to the beach/Ao Nang at any time. All the staff go out of their way to ensure that your holiday is perfect - they couldn't do any more. The villa is lovely and it was great to see the resident Gheko, Gordon, still in situ!

The villa is a bit tired but overall a lovely place. Its huge. It would have been better if it has similar private villa concept of Bali, with inhouse chef and butler service. Nevertheless, the services of Ching, the villa manager and Tif, the tuk tuk driver make up for it. They are epitome of excellent service you would expect from Thais. Our big group of 18; 8 adults and 10 children had a fantastic time.

Our holiday in ao Nang was wonderful and service etc. in Baan Oriental was more than we thougt before our stay in ao Nang. The villa was so clean and bedrooms and living-area, pool and jaguzzi...everything so perfect for us. Location was good, because we could get a tuk-tuk to ao Nang when we want and nearby was markets and shops where we could buy groceries. We will absolutely go again in next year 2012.

We stayed at Baan Oriental for our honeymoon and felt like royalty! The accommodations were lovely and were well maintained during our stay, we never ran out of ice or other household items. As beautiful as the villa is, I would have to say that the Ton Company staff was what made our stay exceptional. We worked with Ching over email before our stay and in-person once we arrived. She arranged everything we asked for and even went the extra mile to hand make Loi Kratongs for us to celebrate the Thai festival on the day we arrived. We also want to specially mention Tif, he was always there to help us with transportation and didn't seem to mind us calling him multiple times a day for a ride here or there. We had an amazing honeymoon experience in ao Nang thanks to Ton company, we hope to return to Krabi villas with a larger group for a future stay.

Baan Oriental was the perfect holiday for our family. We have two young children, the transfers alone were fantastic. The staff are welcoming and Tiff was superb transporting us around at all hours of the day and night. The villa was clean, comforatble and safe, it felt like a home away from home. We are so impressed we maybe heading back in March.

We were a family of four, 2 small children travelling with a family of three. We found everything about Baan Oriental just perfect. The photo's don't really do it justice. Tif our driver was just great only ever 5 minutes away. He would drive us all in to ao Nang for dinner and be back to pick us up again as soon as we called him. The kids totally loved him. Ching (manager) was so helpful. We wanted a massage and she organised it within half a hour...totally not what we expected...truly amazing. Nothing was any trouble. The house staff were friendly and they did a fantastic job cleaning. We love the motorbikes...whenever we needed anything we could just job on them and head into town withing minutes...We will be back for sure!! Loved it!!!

My stay at Baan Oriental was great! The villa was spacious, immaculate, and quite comfortable. The open dining area was very welcoming as we enjoyed having cocktails and snacks after a long day of sightseeing. All the amenties that were available were superior. We had computer access, television, phone service, and transportion was available from the villa to the beach throughout our stay. The kitchen was available for us to cook if we desired, although the most intriguing part was having a personal Thai chef come in and cook the most amazing fresh Thai food that was absolutely delicious. Ton was available and always willing to assist us with excursions, dinner reservations and shopping or whatever else was needed. I would return to Baan Oriental without hesitation.

A warm welcome from the owner, Ton and his team (in uniform!), Worthy of a 5 star! We were 10 people (5 adults and 5 childrens, we spent three weeks in this beautiful dream house! Large landscaped garden, large swimming pool, large luxury villa, large rooms in a quiet place, Happiness! We particularly appreciated the tuktuk driver and placed at our disposal to come and go where we wanted, very handy for the beach! Furthermore, Ao Nang beach is a charming seaside resort with lots of small islands with white sandy beaches, 10 minutes by boat. ... in short, a wonderful vacation!

We really don know how to express our thankful we are to the great hospitality we had during our stay from 20th to 23rd May 2010. Simply love and enjoy our stay so much! The first thing that surprise us was when a mobile phone was loan to us with all their contacts, is so thoughtful of you! I spent two weeks at Ban Oriental in Juanary 09 and the time was fabulous.
The house is very confortable with large open space connected with outside.
Bedrooms are also confortable with their owns bathrooms
The pool give you relaxing time with is spa.
Baan Oriental is well located close to Ao Nang Beach, but not stuck to twon center and give you a feeling of quiet space in the middle of luxuriant vegetation.
People who is looking after this house, are very friendly and give you lots of informations during your stay.
So, just go to Baan Oriental and enjoy. -

The welcome at the airport was kind and just in time.
The arrival at home, at night, was magical, with lighted pool and house and staff and food.
The house was very large and clean and gently decorated.
All services were possible when whished : car with a driver, cooking maids, laundry....
What we liked best was the possibility of visiting temples or lying on splendid beaches or doing nothing at home ! -

This is a terrific property - we have stayed there three times now - once with friends, once on our own, and once for a "girls" holiday. The villa is beautifully appointed, the ladies who come in to cook and clear are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful pool, very quiet location yet close enough to Ao Nang to get to the beach and shops easily.
Kae the villa manager is an absolute treasure and really makes a holiday there - nothing is too much trouble and she recommends some great places to see, and to eat in.
Overall a superb holiday and when contrasted with the cost of a hotel good value if there are more than two of you.
We're back again in two weeks time which I think says it all.

The service was very good. In every way. The house itself was more than we expected. The location was prima for us. Not in the centre but just outside. The free tuk-tuk service takes you everywhere you need within AoNang. This cannot be explained, you need to see and experience it yourself!

We stayed here as a two family party of ten for about ten nights. I could not rate the villa highly enough. Great quiet location and with our fantastic driver Pe, we were only a short drive away from the restaurants, shopping and beach of Ao Nang. Our dealings with Ton Company were excellent and nothing was ever too much trouble for Kae (villa manager). There is no doubt the major reason we had such a great holiday in Krabi was due to our choice of accomodation. Private pool, beautiful & spacious gardens, daily maid service and transport when required were just some of the reasons we highly recommend the Baan Oriental. Ao Nang and the surrounding area is an amazing part of Thailand. We have previously had quite a few holidays in Phuket but we will be staying at Baan Oriental in Krabi from now on as we prefer it so much more. The beaches are beautiful and safe for the kids and the more layed back, relaxed approach in Ao Nang was certainly welcomed.
Anyone travelling in a small group, would be crazy not to at least consider the Baan Oriental. Compared to a series of hotel rooms it is by far a more economical, private and relaxing choice. No having to stake out a deck chair by the pool early each day!!
