LeuvenVilla Fornaci, The place to be, Heaven on earth!
Left on 10/08/2012 for a stay in July 2012
July 2012, we stayed at the apartment with our 4-member family for the second time, while our 2 friends were staying at the Bed & Breakfast. We’d been with Alison and Roberto before in 2010, because it’s hard to imagine a better host couple than those two wonderful people.
Alison and Roberto welcome their guests with a stunning cocktail and the feeling that this might be the time of your life kicks in instantaniously. The hosts are always ready when something is about, without ever making you feel uncomfortable.
Villa Fornaci is decorated with fine taste and the cleanliness is extraordinary. Furthermore, the kitchen is well equiped, there aren’t many things you won’t be able to prepare here. The owners live on the lower floors, while the guest rooms with large terrace (apartment + B&B) are situated on the first floor, reachable with a stair on the side of the house.
Villa Fornaci is surrounded by a beautifully maintained domain with a huge pool, comfortable chairs and parasols. The villa is built on a hill, allowing you to enjoy an amazing view covering the entire area. Early morning, while the sky is bright, you can even catch a glimp of the Adriatic Sea, about 60 kilometers down the road. Anyone in love with a calm and relaxing time, will find his or her elysium here for sure. Even though the house is located a bit remote, the picturesque nearby village of Apiro can be found only 7 kilometers from the villa.
The region, Le Marche, has so much to offer, but is less tourist-minded thanTuscany. The nature or culture fanatic, people who love to walk or ride around on their bikes… everyone will find exactly what they need here. Roberto knows the region like the palm of his hand and enjoys sharing this knowledge with all of his guests.
Nearby the villa, you can also enjoy lovely restaurants, which Roberto and Alison can recommend personally. They even know which dishes are exquisite and find pleasure in reserving a table for their precious guests.
To cut a long story short, we are definitely going back there! Thank you, Alison and Roberto for your hospitality and an amazing and unforgettable week! -

Reims, FranceUn accueil exceptionnel dans un endroit superbe
Left on 08/25/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Scottish BordersThe Ultimate Villa
Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We stayed at Villa Fornaci for a week in mid June.
We were greeted by alison who showed and told us everything about our Villa and then brought us a rather nice glass of wine to settle us in.
The Villa had everything you could possibly need from bbq to wine coolers, from Sky TV to Backgammon, this truly is an incredibly well presented property. The pool is large and well maintained with quality poolside furnishings.
Alison and Roberto are there should you need them but remain almost invisible for you to enjoy the peace. The situation of the Villa is quite honestly one of the prettiest views you could imagine.
We ate at a few places alison and Roberto reccomended and were certainly not dissappointed by the quality of the food.
We did a wine and local food tasting at the Villa organised by alison and Roberto and this turned out to be our best memory of the whole holiday. Alison's culinary skills along with Roberto's wine ( Grappa ) knowledge made for a great afternoon / evening ! Their company made it all the more enjoyable.
I am sure we will return to Villa Fornaci in the not too distant future, perhaps earlier or later in the season which is an absolute bargain.
If you are looking for quality in fantastic surroundings, look no further. -

NY, NYYou must vacation here at least once!
Left on 06/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Villa Fornaci is an impeccably restored villa (the restoration was completed 2 years ago). It is exquisitely positioned at the top of a hill to view the panorama of the beautiful Marchigian countryside. There is a wonderful pool and relatively flat surrounding property. The pictures on the web site do not do justice to either the villa itself or the views from it.
Villa Fornaci’s position on the hillside is perfect. The panorama before you from every position on the property is unbelievable. It is the most beautiful Italian countryside I have ever seen. The view was truly breathtakingly beautiful. Every day I would walk to one corner of the property and spend a few minutes to take in the sight before me.
The villa is easy to access as far as Italian countryside properties go. We’ve vacationed in various parts of the Italian countryside and this was the easiest villa to access. No ridiculously steep inclines or scary, narrow roads. Only one “white road” (unpaved with white stones) that was a few hundred yards leading directly to the villa. It was approximately 25 minutes from the main strada statale.
There are excellent restaurants within 15 minutes drive, and two one star Michelin restaurants within 45 minutes drive. The hosts are an “international” couple who speak English, Italian, and Swedish. They made us feel as if we were visiting family and not guests at an Inn.
Villa Fornaci gets only the highest ratings from us. If you are considering Le Marche, a stay there should definitely be in your plans. In fact, it’s worth planning a vacation to Le Marche just to stay there. -

La Porte, Indiana, USAWonderful stay at the Villa Fornaci in apiro, Italy
Left on 05/31/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We came to Italy to visit Father Michael Farrell in apiro. We were looking for a place to use as our "home base" as we visited the many small hillside towns and churches in the Le Marche and Umbria regions. The villa and it's surrounding grounds are beautiful and immaculately kept. The quiet is soothing to the soul (so quiet that in the morning you can hear the "coo coo" birds and in the evening, the rustling of the wild boars in the field beyond the villa. Alison and Roberto are very knowledgeable regarding the area and were extremely helpful when it came to planning our daily outings. They met us upon arrival and after helping us settle in, greeted us with a toast and some of the most delicious soup and bread that melted away the weariness of a full days travel from the us. Our only regret is that we didn't allow enough time after our daily outings to visit with them in the evenings. If you are looking for a quiet place off the beaten path (no noise other than the birds) that is within driving distance of small towns such as assisi, Perugia and Orvieto, or something like the caves of Frassisi, this is the place for you.

ReadingVilla Fornaci - stunning accommodation in the heart of Le Marche
Left on 02/02/2011 for a stay in November 2010
I stayed at Villa Fornaci for 4 days in November 2010 and was looking for a relaxing break with a friend. I had stayed in other accommodation in Le Marche before but have to say that my experience at Villa Fornaci outclassed my previous visit. On arrival I was impressed by the position of the house, on a hill at the end of a private road, with 360 degree views of the stunning countryside and mountains. The lovely landscpaed garden also contained a surprisingly large swimming pool. The apartment was light, spacious and airy, furnished with elegant simplicity. It had two large double rooms (each with own bathroom facilities), a sofa area for relaxing and a well equipped kitchen. As it was a self catering apartment I was impressed by the extra touches such as the good quality shower gel, coffee, cooking oils etc provided. I was especially touched by the two bottles of local wine which were given as a welcome gift, which indeed did make us feel very welcomed into their beautiful home. Alison and Roberto were friendly and courteous hosts with a really good knowledge of the range of delights Le Marche had to offer. Alison also offers a range of therapy treatments and I enjoyed a lovely massage during my visit. The house is in the heart of the countryside within easy drive of many unspoilt towns and attractions. Of note, and recommended by the hosts, were the stunning Frassassi caves, Cingoli with its beautiful views of Le Marche, and the atmospheric old walled village Serra San Quirico. We also enjoyed a day out visiting a number of deisgner factory outlets such as Prada and Todds, again recommended by alison. I have no hesitation in recommending Villa Fornaci to other visitors and am already planning my next visit.

NorthamptonshireLuxury accommodation in Le Marche, Italy
Left on 01/30/2011 for a stay in July 2010
Having visited Villa Fornaci in the summer of 2010, we were taken back by the beautiful setting with magnificent and very panoramic views. We loved the peace and quiet that this setting provided whilst at the same time having the ability to go off and explore the beautiful countryside and hill-top towns of this part of Le Marche. A car is a necessity in this part of Italy.
The owners provided lots of information on places to visit and restaurants to try and there are some great local restaurants which serve local produce with the local anti-pasti and home-made pasta with cinghiale sauce being some of our favourites.
We visited the beautiful sandy beach at Senigallia and the hill-top town of Sirolo on the Conero coast which offers stunning scenery, both only an hour away. It is so true that Italy has the best ice-cream, the difficulty is that there are so many flavours to try! We also visited the hill-top towns of Loreto (1 hour) and assisi (2 hours) which had some beautiful Italian buildings and churches and were well worth the journey.
As for the accommodation, the apartment has two large double bedrooms both with en-suite shower. Everything is beautifully furnished, extremely clean and the apartment caters for everything you would need with a fully equipped kitchen and towels and bedding provided. The owners also showed us their suite which has a double bedroom with en-suite shower and living area, and which is furnished to the same standard as the apartment.
Villa Fornaci has a huge salt water swimming pool and initially I thought this might make my skin dry but it did the absolute opposite and my skin felt so soft after a swim, much better than any chlorine pool I have ever been in. The biggest pool I have seen, and the cleanest I have seen, and the views whilst relaxing are just incredible.
All-in-all a gorgeous place to stay and to experience the 'real' Italy.
