Remodeled 4-bedroom beach house close to ocean

The house has just undergone an extensive remodel for the comfort of our guests. This is a well-maintained, luxury vacation rental.

Included in the remodel:

1. New modern kitchen with maple cabinets and a granite countertop

2. New downstairs bathroom with stone-tiled shower and granite-topped vanity

3. New upstairs bathroom with granite-topped vanity

4. New hardwood flooring in all the living areas

5. New carpets in the bedrooms

6. New double glazed windows with a French door to the ocean

7. New furniture throughout the house

The house has 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Downstairs are two... bedrooms (one with a Queen bed, the other with 3 twin beds), a full bathroom and the laundry room. A spiral staircase takes you upstairs to the main living area, two bedrooms (one with a Queen bed, the other has a King bed) and a full bathroom. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open plan with a high ceiling, with huge windows providing a view of the ocean. Open the French doors and step onto the wide, wrap-around deck and listen to the waves crashing onto the shore.

The house has new, modern appliances and DSL Internet access (wireless 802.11b/g and wired Ethernet). The downstairs twin bedroom has a TV with basic cable, a DVD and VCR. The living room also has a TV with basic cable, a DVD and VCR. The house has a collection of more than 80 movies. There is a BBQ on the deck with a view of the ocean. The dining table seats 8 with lots of elbow room, and expands to seat 12 in comfort.

The house is located at 530 Seacliff Drive in Aptos, just south of Capitola and north of Rio Del Mar. Santa Cruz and Monterey are a short drive away. The house is a stone's throw to the sea, but is on a bluff. You can walk to the beach in 5 minutes. Aptos Seacliff beach is a wide, sandy beach suitable for swimming, boogy boarding or walking your dog. The beach has restrooms and cold showers.

There is parking for 5 cars in the driveway, and parking for an additional car on the street.

  We have stayed at this property for the past five years and love it every time! It is minutes from the beach, food and shopping. We bring a few families with kids of all ages and it still remains everyone's favorite trip. We love the upper level beach view. The kitchen, dining and living room all one great room concept with the deck with seating on the same level. It's great because everyone can be accommodated upstairs and there's plenty of room and entertainment. Defnitely worth the money. Jackie and Peter keep it in great condition like it was their own home.

  We loved the house and the surrounding area but wished it were a little closer to Pebble Beach where we attended the Open. The family room/kitchen area easily accommodated our group of nine; especially the family room and the large dinning table and chairs. Children weren’t included in our group but the house would well for a family too. Peter and Jackie made renting their place easy with lots of helpful hints on where to eat, play and shop. We would stay at this location again without any question.

  A fun and relaxing getaway!

  I recently stayed at this house together with some friends. We were a party of 7 adults. The house accommodated us easily and we found everything to be as claimed in their website. A few highlights: 1) wi-fi access was excellent – at times all 7 of us on it at once, 2) the selection of glassware was a pleasant surprise for the drinkers in our group and 3) the beach and beach access is very good – quite a few stairs but in good condition and very manageable even for the less fit in our party. Also, there are some good restaurants a short walk away. Within a 5-min drive there is a Safeway (with a Starbucks in it) and nearby Capitola had great nightlife and restaurants too. It was a great stay and I’d highly recommend it to anyone.
