      Very Disappointing...

      I was shocked by the condition of this home. It was clean for the most part, but the photos on the website misrepresented the old and uncomfortable furniture. The beach access was too steep for my parents. Due to the lack of private parking, walking long distances (at night sometimes) was not enjoyable for some family members. We had to share adjoining walls and patios with the neighbors, so the privacy was non-existent. It was loud on the weekends! We will not stay there again and shame on Kendall & potter property management for the misrepresentation!!

      We apologize that you felt the home was misrepresented on the website. We try our best to make sure the photos match what the home looks like. Parking is street only and they do not have assigned spaces on the Island. The homes on the Island are very close and one does attach on one wall. Patios are all attached and not private as everyone walks thru every two homes to get to the stairs built into the rocks in front of all the homes on the island. Again we apologize for the way you felt.

      Another excellent adventure at 240 Beach.

      This was our third year at 240 Beach after Christmas and all was just swell. My expectations were fulfilled. The river was not so swollen this year so our immediate access to the surf was easier. This location is ideal for us. We surely hope to return again soon. Thanks to the always courteous, helpful Kendall & Potter staff.

      We love the Rio Del Mar "island" although this year the river ran very close to the home and limited direct beach access a few more yards. The house comfortably sleeps 7 (one bunk) so it met our needs. All accomodations are comfortable except the upstairs vacuum cleaner. We did basic cleaning but were not sure what that meant besides vacuuming and sweeping. The fee is a lot but the location makes it worth it.

      Ocean Front Holiday Inn

      The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom very worn condo is ocean front. The bathroom down stairs is small. The children's-themed room upstairs has extremely hard mattresses. All this being said, the unit is ocean front which provided afternoon views of the dolphins jumping thru the waves and instant access to the beach. However, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat, this is not it as privacy is missing. In the front, people walking past look into the kitchen window. In the rear, the walkway is public: children screaming, people smoking and walkers watching dinner being served. With the noise from the hotel from the front and the gawkers in the rear, it felt like a Holiday Inn. Parking is a challenge. People wait for others to leave and quickly take the space. This is not my idea of a relaxing rental property. I will be more specific identifying a better-matched property when working with Kendall and Potter in the future.

      Great location but poorly furnished w/ maintenance problems

      We've stayed on "the island" at Rio Del Mar several times, and appreciated that the rental was available on very short notice. However, this unit could really use some attention. Plumbing problems, DVD player didn't work, table outside is falling apart, living room furniture very uncomfortable. Cleaning crew left blower onsite for the entire week after the shower backed up. Michelle at Kendell Potter was very responsive dealing with the problems, and the location really is great.

      I loved this home and I loved that it was steps from the sand since I have little kids and they always wanted to play in the sand. The one thing that I was surprised about is your back patio is connected to everyone else's patios (it's a long strip of beach homes) so anyone and often times many people walk through your patio to get to their homes. It's fine, but be prepared since you have large windows where they look in anytime as they walk by, so no hanging out in your underwear downstairs. :) It's also a little louder than I expected with so many neighbors, but we got use to it after a day or two.
