Have stayed on "the island" many times. This is the first time that linens were provided anywhere for the four beds and they were very much appreciated. The place was clean and comfortable and the one bedroom downstairs was particularly appreciated since I am disabled. We had a wonderful time again and were so happy that the river was relocated this time from previous years.

We had a family get together and rented two homes about a half mile apart down the beach. What a great time, absolutely no hassle what so ever. We parked our car and never drove for 4 days, the kitchen equipment was more than satisfactory to make dinner for six and the beach was sublime. No shoes, no shaving, beach volleyball and boogie boards, all of us being over 55 years old, we felt like kids again until the day after beach volleyball.
We will see you again, and give a high recommendation.

You can't beat the ocean front location of this rental. Fortunately, we had great sunny weather during our stay and spent the majority of our time on the beach. The rental itself needs a lot of work. We found it a bit dirty when we arrived- sand on the couches, hair on the bathroom floor, and tons of sand in the washing machine. The heavy brass handle for the cold water in the downstairs shower completely fell off when you turned it on. It fell on my husband's toe and actually cut him. The oven did not function, so cooking/baking was not an option. I did email K&P; about these things, but never got a response:(

The location is AWESOME! We are sorry you had the problems when you were at the home. We never did get an e-mail but sent someone immediately when you advised us at check out of the problems. We have been staying at this house for the last 12 years. During this time very few things have changed and minimal repairs have been done. The kitchen is very outdated and the grout in the counter tops is my main area of concern. It is so full of grease and dirt that it makes cooking in the kitchen seem hazardous. The matresses in the upstairs bedrooms are old and uneven. We had to put a book under the foot of the twin bed because it was missing one of its wheels. The shower head in the upstairs bathroom has been broken for the last 2 years. We had to take a ribbon to tie it up so we could use it. The shades in the windows are hard to adjust because they are so old and stiff. We recommended Kendal & Potter to a friend and they just happened to rent this house because it was the only house available - they would never go back. We also have decided that we will no longer rent this house if some of these issues aren't addressed.

We stayed for a week at The Pelican and the view and access to the beach was absolutely fantastic!! My husband loved fishing on the pier and going golfing. We found the parking situation to be the biggest issue and were afraid to leave at times because we had to park quite a distance away from our building. The bonfires on the beach and the Bbq's in close proximity were also problematic for us as we had to close the windows and doors to keep the smoke out nightly. It was a trade off for the location.

We are hapy that you were able to enjoy your stay. Yes we agree that the parking is a problem and have addressed it with the homes HOA. Unfortunately we can not stop people from having a Bonfire or BBQ for dinner.

Kendall and Potter did a great job. The girls in the office were great!
We stayed in this home years ago for 2 weeks at a time. The location is great however the kitchen needs to be gone through and rid of all those old pots. All kitchen cabinets need to be cleaned out and new silverware and dishes.
Closet upstairs and master has to much stuff in it needs to be cleaned out so renters will have more room. Other upstairs closet was locked so we could not hang anything.
