The farm house has a beach feel with a large lawn, multiple patios, a deck and privacy all around. The Aquinnah light house can be seen in the distance. Walk to the Aquinnah Cliffs for an amazing sunset! Aquinnah beaches are some of the best on the island.

have stayed here two years in a row. unbelievable ocean view. peaceful. quiet. beaches are within walking distance. great area for bike riding. and if you want to go into town- short ride. the Hartels are great people; very accommodating.we're going back next year!

After spending many summers as a weekend warrior and a party guest of so many friends I decided it was pay-back time. So, I looked for an up-island property that felt like the island. In my wildest dreams could never have found such a wonderful home to host this event and be able to invite houseguest's for the quintessential Vineyard Experience.
The night of the party happen to be magical. It was a movie set from the extraordinary sunset to the catered dinner, children catching firefly's and watching the shooting stars to the spanning of ages 9-90 playing monopoly and scrabble in the living room. The house lent itself and all its charm to this memorable evening and continued throughout the 2 weeks we were there.
Some of my guests live in million dollar homes and know the island like the back of their hand yet they walked thru the farm-house kitchen and out onto the deck with a 180 degree ocean view from the aquinnah lighthouse to as far south as the eye can see and they gasped!
I would strongly recommend this comfortable vacation home for those who can appreciate just how special the Vineyard was and take the opportunity to go back in time when life was all about simple pleasures.
