Situated in the Valle de Guimar in centre of the Village of Arafo overlooked y the Anavingo mountains
!A rural property situated in the village of Arafo that has been in the same family since it was built in the 1800’s.The decor is an eclectic mix of styles that spans though the decades that the house has existed. The traditional Canarian architecture remains intact, thick walls of mud and stone, and high ceilings providing a cool refuge from the summer sun and insulation in the cooler winter. We are 35 minutes drive from the airport and the best way is to hire a car or get a cab otherwise a bus to Santa Cruz from the airport ( Reina Sofia or Tenerife Norte) where you can catch a bus (121) back to Arafo..

Left on 02/16/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Not for everyone. 500 metres up, a typical hilly village; We were virtually the only tourists, and the only English speakers. Car neccessary--parking in quite a busy street could be difficult. No restaurants within walking distance seemed to be open. Friendly small shops. Pleasant and reasonable local wine.We made good use of BBQ. . One bedroom opens off another;2 of the 3 loos are "outsde" across an open inner courtyard..We made frequant use of the roof terrace. Several miles to the Coast. Occasional buses .We all enjoyed our stay greatly..
