This three-bedroom, two-bathroom abode, nestled in peaceful Arch Cape at the turnaround of a tucked away lane, offers vacationers a veritable treasure trove of charming, restful living spaces.
Inside, Pirate’s Treasure exudes the stately feel of a private ocean lodge. It boasts rich, dark wood, forest green accents, mirrors made to look like portholes, and plenty of fine, leather furniture perfect for leaning back and kicking up those tired, sand-dusted heels in the easiest of comforts.
A wood stove plus a book and video collection complete the lodge-like effect in the large den, where every member of your crew is sure to fi...nd a perfect spot for settling in after the dinner bell rings.
Look out for the original Cannon Beach art decorating the walls, including prints of dramatically crashing ocean waves and a handrail fashioned from an old tree limb.
In the back, a large, simple kitchen and additional living area offer a woodsy take on indoor entertaining, with plenty of windows looking out onto the trees behind and quick access to a large back porch.
The downstairs bathroom features a charming little claw foot tub in addition to a shower.
The home’s three bedrooms offer a variety of sleeping arrangements, from two basic double bet setups to a double bed and foldout futon combination. The rooms offer a variety of extras, from peek-a-boo ocean views to a flat screen TV and cheerful sky lighting.
True to its name, this eclectic home also contains a hidden horde of pirate treasure – but we won’t tell you just where. Among the bootie you’ll spy on display: A Jolly Roger flag, plenty of old treasure maps, telescopes and a trunk full of precious “jewels.”
The front yard offers a comfortable sitting area, with Arch Cape’s quiet, rocky shores just a few minutes’ walk away. The backyard comes equipped with a gas grill, a picnic table and plenty of lush lawn to relax into, plus enough foliage to insulate you from the bustle of U.S. Highway 101.
Pirate’s Treasure offers tranquility far off the well-trodden tourist path. This is high-seas comfort at its land-lubbing best!

We spent four days at Pirates Treasure, including one evening when the biggest storm of the season hit the coast. The surf was spectacular and a few hours without power was just another adventure. We just fired up the wood stove and enjoyed ourselves. The house was very cozy and had every convenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We wanted to take our guests from Tucson to a retreat at the coast. This home was beautiful and comfortable, too. Every detail was thought out, every bed was divine, every request we made beforehand was met. We loved spending time in the back yard. The access to the beach was near. We were able to take advantage of the activities in Cannon Beach and Manzanita both, since the home is about half way between those two charming towns. I hope to return!
