Casa Eryl provides very comfortable accommodation at a budget price and is aimed at climbers, walkers or any party of to 4 people who wish to experience life in a typical Spanish village. The house is well-equipped with the kitchen having a full oven, grill, 4 ring hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and a large selection of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. A utility area houses the washing machine and large fridge/freezer. The dining area has a beautiful dining table for up to 6 people and an attractive dresser with a drinks cupboard which we ask you to keep stocked up. A livley village- a typical "pueblo blanco" close to the Andalucian lake district.
Only 45 mins from Malaga airport and the Costa del Sol, but this is the real Spain.
Friendly villagers and wonderful scenery. Great place to relax, walk or tour Andalucia.
Ronda and Malaga- only 45 mins by bus. Seville-2 hrs drive, Granada and Cordoba only 45 mins drive.
Ardales is at the edge of the Natural Park which bears its name, where you will find 3 beautiful turquoise lakes nestled in pine covered mountains. The famous El chorro gorge (world class climbing area) is 15 mins away. The scenery is exquisite & ideal for walking or mountain biking. The historic town of Ronda is 45 mins away, Granada, 90 mins, Seville 2 hrs, while Malaga & the famous Costa del Sol is within 35 mins drive. This area is just being developed for tourism- The neighbouring village of Carratraca has a newly refurbished 18th century spa baths and a brand new 5 star hotel under the management of Ritz- Carlton. This is a very different type of tourism than that of the coast here you will encounter all the charm of Inland Spain. The locals welcome visitors and appreciate attempts at speaking Spanish-bring phrase book!!
An ideal base for exploring Andalucia as all the main attractions are within 45 minutes- 2 hours drive, with the spectaclar scenery of the Ardales lakes and El Chorro being on your doorstep.

We have stayed at Casa Eryl twice now and had a lovely time on both occasions.The house is cool, roomy and well equipped. Situated at the upper end of the village great views can be enjoyed from the roof terrace.
The Village is a delight: there are plenty of friendly bars,restaurants and shops, even a small market! Eating in or eating out is a pleasure we both enjoyed. We were particularly fond of the wild boar and chips at the lakeside restaurant El Mirador after a day lazing by the lake and swimming always works up an appetite.
There are many things to do in the locality, we enjoyed visiting the caves, the local museums, the gorge and national park and other towns and villages. It would be hard to be bored here! -

we had a great time in ardales, the hills were a killer for us, we are 50/60s. but that said the house was brill, our hosts Eryll and Rolland were fantastic...a hive of knowledge and great company,if you fancy a beer in the local bars.the house although basic has all creature comforts and is spotless clean. the roof Terrace has fantastic views of ardales ..the bedrooms are spacious with loads of cupboard space..all in all a great location if you like walking and are able bodied. as a foot note i would like to say we had a Brill time the locals are really friendly and we enjoyed them greatly...whether they did us is another matter!!... definitely worth a visit..
