186487Golden wedding celebration

We stayed in the large house at ardlui retreat for 4 nights with 5 family members to celebrate parents golden wedding. The house is large and beautifully appointed with every modern convenience provided. The location on the shores of Loch Lomond is wonderful. The other lodges were empty for 3 of the nights so it was quiet as well. Barry was welcoming and helpful. Everyone who stayed was delighted with the house. The hot tub wasn't working but that didn't detract from the pleasure of the stay. If we were to be really picky, the eleborate lighting system was a bit confusing even for my techy brother in law and the electric front gates were rather tempramental. The only other slight negative comment would be that there are only 2 double sofas and one other chair in the main lounge which isn't much for a house sleeping up to 10 adults, although there is always the separate smaller lounge.
All in all a wonderful place to have a family gathering and we would all love to come back, maybe when the weather is better and we can enjoy sitting out and admiring the view. Many thanks for everything. -

StirlingPerfect for relaxing time with family and friends

This place was awesome! We were greeted personally as we arrived at the most stunning location ever. I had been to Loch Lomond before but never this far up, the setting of the ard lui retreat is incredible!
The water was glassy flat all weekend, perfect for wakeboarding (easily available) and fun on our jet skis when more boats came out in the afternoon.
You could take family and friends of any age there, it was so nice to get out of the city yet still enjoy top quality accommodation and a totally tranquil experience. Very relaxing whether to stroll around the garden or go hillwalking. The beds are all really comfortable, the kitchen full of useful things- it felt like a home away from home!
Definitely among the best accommodation in Loch Lomond, especially for the money! -

GlasgowGreat Spot for Watersports

I received a warm welcome from the owner on arrival and was offered use of all the facilities inc, jetty, hot tub, bbq area, and cinema room.
We were blown away with the setting!! and the weather could not have been better!!
We took full advantage of the situation and got straight on the water for a bit of wakeboarding followed by a soak in the hot tub :)
The house is superb and the largest property I have ever stayed in.
I will defiantly be back this summer, superb spot and beautiful house.
