WELCOME, BEM VINDO at vivenda “A nossa coroa”.

Vivenda “A nossa coroa” literally translates as country house “Our Crown”. It lies 50 km due east of Coimbra, in the green heart of Portugal.

3 luxury bungalows are built on a hill and boast optimal privacy and panoramic views over the mountain top of the Serra da Estrela and the Serra Açor and picturesque mountain villages.

Vivenda “A nossa coroa” is a new and stylish development of bungalows.

The “xisto” wall (Slate) creates a typical Portuguese style.

The use of many windows in the bungalows makes for a great view out onto the mountains.

... Each bungalow has a living area of approx 70 m2 as well as covered patio and its own garden.

The bungalows are beautifully and stylishly decorated.

Each bungalow has its own character:

• Casa Portuguesa in Portuguese style

• Casa Asia with an oriental character and

• Casa Africa with an African theme.

Each bungalow has

- a livingroom furnished with satelite TV with international channels, sofa, armchairs and a coffee table etc.

- 2 bedrooms, with two single boxsprings of 0,90 x 2,00 mtr, in each bedroom. Possibility for a fifth bed

- a bathroom with toilet, a wash basin, a bath and a separate shower

- a modern built-in kitchen fully equipped. The dining area has a large table with four chairs

- a wood burner is positioned between the kitchen and the living area. Wood is available for free.

- all bungalows are single storey

Seperate there is a recreation room.

Here you can play table tennis and find an assortment of games, a library of (Dutch7English) books, and leaflets about activities in the local area.

Situated In the large back garden there are two swimming pools, a large one and a separate pool for children.

Here you may decide whether to bask in the sun or to relax in the shade of the cork.

Next to the pool is the outside kitchen/bar, here you may enjoy delicious tapas, Indonesian food, and other small dishes, a range of drinks and of course the famous Portuguese wines.

Surroundings:

Our “Vivenda” lies in a quiet area on a hill providing it with beautiful views.

We are not situated totally out of the way of civilisation because Coja is just 2 km away. Here you can swim, and eat and drink in the various bars and restaurants.

Also banks, super markets and various small shops are found here.

Nature:

In the vicinity of the Vivenda there are countless possibilities to enjoy nature. By car, on foot or by mountain bike (provided you can handle the slopes). The roads are easily accessible. We have many (walking) routes available for you.

Villages:

Life seems to have stood still in the villages. History from everywhere. The quietness and hospitality is striking. The locals are friendly and will always greet you.

Recreation:

Visit the picturesque villages in the large natural park of the Serra da Estrela

You may swim in the river Alva near Coja, (also usable by children) or In the waterfalls of Fraga da Pena you can enjoy a refreshing shower in nature.

The university city of Coimbra is the nearest large town some 50 Km away. Beside the historic centre with a beautiful old university, chapel and library built in 1728, you will find modern shopping centres. In Coimbra the Fado is played in the cafes and in the churches.

Aveiro or “the Venice of Portugal" is easy to get to. Famous for its salt lakes wich you can visit by boat.

Beautiful beaches are an hour and a half drive.
