A newly renovated old farmhouse situated in a quiet location in the village of Alagoa approx. 2kms from the main district town of Arganil. The house is approached by a quiet lane that leads on to the apple orchards and the local vineyards of the village.
The large lounge has comfortable seating for 7 including a sofa bed, Portuguese satellite TV (some English channels), CD/DVD player, books and games and a dining table and chairs. The farmhouse is in a quiet location on the edge of the village of Alagoa with pretty views across the orchards and vineyards to the mountains beyond. Casa de Alagoa is the larger part of the farmhouse and sleeps 6/8 with the smaller cottage, Casa Rustica, sleeping 2/4. Both parts of the farmhouse can be rented either seperately or together for larger groups.
Arganil, 2kms, is the main district town with supermarkets, shops, restaurants and cafes, there is entertainment in the square at the weekend during the summer. The river is 500ms from the house and the river beach at Sarzedo, where the council have also built a swimming pool, is less than 2 kms away and can be reached by a short walk. There is another pretty river beach in Secarias approx. 2 kms away where you can hire pedaloes and there are restaurants and cafes there.
