The house is set on the south facing banks of the River Alva as it winds its way from the dramatic hill ranges of the Serra da Estrela through the historic market town of Coja.

Coja is a pretty market town only 12km from Arganil. There are shops, 2 small supermarkets, restaurants, bank etc in the town and a popular river beach only 200m from the house. The old Roman bridge spans the Rio Alva which splits the town into 2 halves with the amenities in the town centre less than 500 ms from the house. The house looks across the river with uninterrupted views to the mountains.

CoimbraHouse next to the river in Coja with easy walk to centre.
Left on 01/23/2013 for a stay in August 2012
The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We spent a lot of time at the river 200m from the house where we swam and the boys hired a canoe a couple of times. Coja is a pretty little town with a couple of nice restaurants. All in all we had a wonderful time, definitely recommended for a family holiday!
