The Moulin sits in 11 acres of private grounds by 600 metres of River Arize. The grounds include formal lawns, woods and orchards including a woodland walk alongside the river up to the cascade where many guests enjoy 100 metres of wild swimming. The owners help was apparent even before we arrived. On arrival we were greeted with gluvine and an uncomplicated explanation of the workings of the house and potental problems that happen in an old house. The property was was well stocked with nearly all requirements you might expect. No oyster knife! This has been remedied. The setting is extemely peaceful which led to unusual harmony amongst an argumentative family. The stupid and the brave swum regularly in the pretty river passing through the property. Bicycles, golf clubs and a boule court were all provided. There were many other amenities not suitable for mid winter although a log fire burned brightly the whole time. We regularly take a house in France for the Christmas holiday but rarely go back to the same place. This may be an exception.
