With a well-equipped kitchen and a delightful picture window in the sitting room, this property is able to sleep up to six people across three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one with adult bunks. Situated just five minutes from the promenade in the lovely coastal resort of Arnside, this property is a stone-built detached dormer-bungalow that has been lovingly refurbished to provide light and airy accommodation. The spacious rear garden offers excellent al fresco dining opportunities, as well as a place to relax during the day with a good book and a glass of something cold. The cottage is well served by the local amenities in Arnside its...elf, however for more specialist shops Grange-over-Sands is easily accessible by the local railway service.

Library of books/games/local walks. All fuel & power inc. in rent. Bed linen & towels inc. in rent. Large garden with patio & garden furniture. Off road parking for 2 cars. 1 well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops & pubs 5 mins walk, railway station 2 mins walk. Note: Front and back doors of property are accessed via a flight of steps and rear garden is on a slope - may be unsuitable for the less mobile. Note: Property not suitable for children under 5. Ensure children are supervised.

Town: Situated on the southernmost tip of the Lake District in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is the village of Arnside. The surrounding land is characterised by low limestone hills, marshy plains and deciduous woodlands, making this an interesting scenic backdrop for a walking or cycling holiday. Having retained many of the features from its past, this former fishing port still possesses a beautiful pier and port area with stunning views across the Kent Estuary. The 15th Century Peel Towers lie to the south of the village and were constructed to defend the settlement against the marauding Scots. Stunning limestone pavements as well as wonderful woodland walks through countryside alive with rare plants, trees and wildlife makes this a nature lover's paradise. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  This review is probably academic as the property is for sale and may not be in business as a holiday let for much longer, but please be aware that although the property is advertised as pet friendly the garden certainly isn't. It is not fenced adequately and is open to the reasonably busy road below so unless you have a particularly obedient dog please be careful. Garden is terraced and has wonderful views from the top but is not suitable for very young children. Bungalow itself was adequate and clean but basic and nothing out of the ordinary. Be careful on the terrace paths if raining as I had a trip to a&E; with a sprained ankle!
