Anchors Rest, a great way to getaway, rest & relax!

This holiday house located on Betela Beach, Rarotonga, Cook Islands will be your home away from home. Located on the sheltered western side of the island with great sunbathing, snorkeling, kayaking, shell collecting and safe swimming for everyone. Snorkeling gear and kayaks are provided with the property. Within walking distance are local dairies, Aroa Beach Inn containing the Shipwreck Bar, the Gallery and Cafes.       Best accomodation we could've hoped for!

      Nine of us (6 adults, two children and a toddler) recently stayed at anchors rest and had our wedding ceremony on the beach there. We had a fantastic stay with good safe snorkelling and swimming. Kayaks and snorkelling gear were available. The property was excellent for entertaining and we thrashed the barbeque! Sunsets were awesome! As a wedding ceremony the venue was perfect. we had 65 seated guests on the beach, a string band and this property accomodated us all well. The trees provided much needed shade and were especially de-nutted for our day. The home itself was well stocked with everything we needed. Mareko (Mark) was a fantastic host and nothing was a bother for him at all. He also gave us good tips and offered to help with wedding plans before we got there recommending different people or services that we needed. I highly recommend this to all and we will definitely be back.

      Perfect family getaway

      The location of the house is perfect with a fantastic and safe beach right on the door step. Plenty of space for 8 adults to relax and not feel like they are on top of each other. Close to amenities and easy access to everything you need. Mark was fantastic, friendly and helpful without being imposing at all. Gave us loads of hints and advice for activities on the island.
      The house is well-equipped with everything you will need for a perfect holiday. Kayaks and snorkelling gear were great for the lagoon and the house had plenty of games and books.
      We had the best holiday and anchors Rest was perfect.
