Summer is ideal for family multi-activity holidays, hiking, biking, lake swimming, horse riding, high board diving, golf, running, Music Courses, Language Courses. Chalet Runca is only 100m from the Swimming Lake & Sandy Beach, equipped with table tennis and beach volleyball. Come by train from Zurich and completely relax amongst streams, forests, wildlife, lakes and mountains.

Perched at the top of the delightful Schanfigg Valley to the southeast of Zurich and Chur, family-friendly Arosa ski resort is one of the highest (1,800m) and most popular of the Alpine resorts in Eastern Switzerland, after Davos and St Moritz. The open snowfields on four mountains are easily negotiable.
Arosa village lies sheltered above the Schanfigg Valley and, although part of it dates from the 14th century, it has a modern and contemporary feel. The village consists of one main street (Poststrasse), lined with hotels and shops, and lures families with its attractions such as ice castles, toboggan runs, superb ski school and slopes for children and fashionable shops, modern ski lifts, lively nightlife. From Arosa centre you sail up by cable car to the top of the Weisshorn at 2700metres or take the Arosa-Lenzerheide crossing, taking only 4 minutes at 2000m altitude.
Chalet Runca is right in the heart of Arosa - and no car is necessary. You will enjoy a panorama of mountain views, sunny location, and a peaceful residential road, yet have the amenities and hustle of Arosa just 300 metres away by footpath. The free Arosa bus circuits run regularly and stop just where you need them - so you can be on ski lifts within five minutes. You can even ski back to the door after fresh snowfall. Alternatively, the piste stops 150m above Chalet Runca.

  We had an absolutely wonderful week staying at Chalet Runca in arosa. The apartment is very comfortable and well-appointed and has access to a lovely garden. Helen from Snowy pockets is delightful, and incredibly helpful. Arosa is a perfect resort for families, and the nearby Badi bathing lake was a highlight for all of us. Thanks Snowy Pockets for a fabulous holiday.
