Greg's Getaway is located on the grounds of Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds. The 40 acre resort property is in the city limits of Asheville and only 3 & 1/2 miles from the Biltmore Estate entrance. You have all that Asheville has to offer right at your fingertips including dining, shopping, arts, crafts, festivals, concerts, tours and more!

First time to asheville and first time to Willow Winds.
Chose Greg's getaway because my name is Greg, but assume the other cabins are comparable.
The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
The cabin was very clean, well appointed, quiet and comfortable. Made for a cozy and relaxing long weekend.

Had a delightful time in Greg's getaway! The customer service was great and we loved our home. Beautifully decorated, the home was just right. Having a fire was also a plus for the wood and starter materials made it a breeze. The location to Biltmore was perfect and we loved the life size chess set and the outdoor games. Fishing was truly fun. Look forward to coming again.

I just recently spent a week at Willow Winds and I just loved the laid back feeling of the place...we had a family reunion and rented about five cabins in a row so it was easy to see everyone all of the time...loved the staff who were super friendly and helpful with any questions about the area..the cabins were gorgeous with a hot tub and everything one could need in the kitchen to make the stay just like home...love you guys...Ann Stadelhofer, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas

We had a very nice 6 night stay. The set up is great for traveling with children. The cabin was very clean and the property provided many opportunities for family fun. The kitchen is fairly well equipped, but if you plan on doing any serious cooking then you need to bring your own basics like a salt and pepper shaker, chef's knife and spatulas, etc. Our only problem was that a bear broke apart our shared garbage container and tore open several bags of garbage. We reported the problem at 4pm but no one came to fix the problem. My husband had to clean up the garbage several hours later and repair the container. I left a message with the front desk expressing our dissatisfaction with their response, but no one ever contacted us or apologized for the inconvenience. Despite this one problem, we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

We stayed for a week at Greg's getaway. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The cabin was so clean and homey. We wanted to move in permanently. The owner and office staff are so nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

I absolutely love staying at Willow Winds. The staff is one of a kind and the rental cabins are every bit as charming in person as they seem on the website. I actually got engaged at the edge of the pond on the property! I would reccomended Willow Winds to all those looking to get away and enjoy the divine views of asheville, NC.

When we arrived at Greg's Getaway, we were ready for some "down" time. After 4 days of staying down town and getting the feel of the energy, we were ready for a nice cabin in the trees... It was fantastic! Loved the water feature and stream outside our back porch. I could have stayed another week.

Our stay in Greg's Get away at Willow Winds was wonderful! Everytime we needed something it was right there in our cabin. The ladies in the office were so kind and skillfully guided us to every location of interest in asheville. We have stayed in other cabins in the asheville area but none were as well equiped or more coviently located. A big bonus was the game area near the office, our teen boys had plenty to do in our down time.

Willow Winds is a ideal location for families to spend time together. The staff is courteous and helpful. Greg's Getaway is quiet and private with outstanding views from every window. Our only suggestion was made by our teenage sons' who would have liked a TV in their bedroom as well.

This was a perfect set-up for our family! We have 3 little ones under 4 years old and napping and bedtimes worked out so much nicer than a hotel would have been! We were close to a a couple of play grounds, fishing was nearby, and we could take walks and ride bikes straight from the front porch! The private hot tub was another perk that meant we could relax together as adults instead of wishing it possible in a hotel, where it would have been on another floor. Definitely a place my family enjoyed and we hope to return soon!

We enjoyed our stay, as we have several times in the past. A little more excitement this time as we were snowed in for 2 1/2 days over Christmas itself. John Michael was his usual great self in getting us out, helping me with my computer and lending me a router which freed up my laptop from wires (and able to support a second computer when my daughter bought her machine).

Found these accomodations by chance on the internet. This resort is everything as described on its website and more. I could not imagine anyone being disappointed. The Setting is spectacular, the cabins maticulously maintain. Let me restate that, there not cabins there homes away from home. Clean, comfortable, inviting and staff willing to assist you with any request. We'll be back I hope very soon.

Willow Winds is one of the nicest vacation rental we have had - and we always do vacation rentals when we travel. It is an enchanted spot outside of time, quiet, beautiful, relaxing - yet right next to asheville. Our cabin was clean. The furnishings were simple and comfortable. Everything we needed for housekeeping was available in our cabin. The deck was over a creek and small waterfall which added to the Blue Ridge ambiance. We saw that there were people staying in the cabins around us but we did not see or hear them, whether inside or out on out deck, during our stay.

Just an amazing two night stay. The service was amazing, the cabin was delightful, and the grounds were so beautiful. Tucked away in a very quiet area but the location is so convenient to everything you would want to do in the asheville area. We were so pleased that we were hoping somone had to leave early so we could spend another night, even if it meant moving to another cabin. The shortbread cookies were such a delight...and a very special touch. Can't go wrong with this choice.

Willow Winds was the perfect place for us to unplug and have some old-fashioned family time. We loved fishing at the pond and my teenagers enjoyed the game room. There was so much to do that we just couldn't do it all!

We have been visting Willow Winds for several years now, and each visit has been wonderful. Each cabin we have stayed in has been clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We love having a full kitchen that is supplied with all the necessities, as it gives us the option of cooking or eating out. It is quiet and secluded, yet conviently close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and trails, downtown Asheville, and Biltmore Estate. Everyone at Willow Winds is kind, pleasant, and helpful, they are a great resource for questions and reccomendations! The hot tub is awesome after a day of hiking/waking, and sitting on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee is very relaxing. We look forward each year to our next visit!

If you are looking for a great place tucked in the hills to use as a home base for a sightseeing trip to the Asheville area, this is it. It was totally no hassle, very much as advertised, and allowed my family to have a nice reunion as well as a vacation. Hot tub was a great relaxer, and beds were comfortable. Would recommend to anyone.
