Secluded, peaceful place with great amenities.
My daughter and I spent a week at Wolf Branch cabin and enjoyed it very much. Tammy mentions that it's hard to get to and she's right about that. The road is one lane and rough. However, the cabin was well furnished and we were very comfortable there. The hot tub is a great addition. Enjoyed the sound of the creek below the cabin and the chickens and roosters from down the road who came to visit us every morning. Tammy is great about communicating with people and provides a very comfortable place.
The property was absolutely gorgeous, with a stream running just a few yards beneath the back deck. We enjoyed complete privacy, with just a few visits from some chickens from down the lane. The owner had many thoughtful touches throughout the house...a jar of candy, a basket of tea, plenty of towels and blankets, and a wonderful collection of Dvd's and books. The TV and internet worked as advertised. The private lane required careful, slow driving and included a stream crossing. We had no trouble during a relatively dry week in april in our Chevy HHR. A more muscular vehicle would probably be required in snow.
Amazing secluded romantic retreat!!
My wife and I stayed at Wolf Branch for a week, we just got back home and already missing it!!! The cabin was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the hot tub was amazing on those chilly star filled evenings. Could not recommend a more luxurious escape if your trying to get away from the hustle and bustle. Very pet friendly with gates and fenced grass area for dogs.
3 of my buddies and I spent 3 days at the cabin and had a wonderful time. It is well appointed and clean. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. There were plenty of clean towels for bathing and hot tub. The cabin was attractive, homey, and really comfortable. There were extensive hiking trails accessible by foot from the cabin. It was nestled in a ravine, with a wonderfully noisey creek at the front of the property. We lucked out with 50 degree days, and delightfully chilly nights (plenty warm in the cabin). Tammy was friendly and easy to work with.
A Great Relaxing Get-Away
Tammy's response was always prompt to all inquiries. The cabin was just the right size for a winter rest. The drive up was an easy one for us, as we do off-road rides in old Jeeps. The cabin was stocked with everything you need, just bring your food! She even had coffee if you forgot your own! The best part was that we were able to bring our 2 year old Husky, and he felt completely at home. The best part of the stay was how everything was covered in "the book". As long as you read that, you know everything to make your stay relaxing. The only thing I didn't like was that I had no cell service, (Verizon). But, that wasn't Tammy's fault, and we did want to unplug!

A perfect mountain getaway
After a year and a half of wedding planning plus law school, my now husband and I needed something special to help us unwind after our wedding.
We left home in an ice storm that left most of the area without power, and arrived the next day in a mountain cabin that blew our expectations out of the water.
The views were beautiful, the hot tub was perfect, and the drive into town was not too far, especially given the lovely remote feeling.
Our dogs loved the solitude, and I loved that the deck was blocked off so I could let them hang out outside while we sat in the hot tub. I also enjoyed having a baby gate for when I wanted to keep them out of the upstairs. It's he little touches that say pets welcome, not just tolerated.
What truly impressed me was how well equipped the cabin was, the kitchen had good knives, a food processor, and a fairly new gas stove. The bedroom had extra blankets, and the movie collection was excellent.
My only complaint was that I couldn't stay longer.
One last thing, the locks on the doors are a bit tricky, I had to call the owner to figure it out, but she answered promptly, and the mistake was all me.

We really loved our time at the cabin. It was the perfect peaceful solitude we both needed from our hectic work schedules. I was extra thrilled that it snowed while we were there. The dogs loved our long hikes everyday. Already missing it.
This is the most amazing cabin I've stayed in. It was decorated in quality (no plastic). All the amenities of home. Everything was provided. It was so serene, peaceful and relaxing. I will stay here again and again. The location instructions were very easy to follow. At first the long driveway (road to cabin) was a little un-nerving, but came to love it after getting to the cabin. The owner, Tammy Martin, is very helpful and very pleasant, always answers the phone. Thank you so much.
Such a beautiful area and a great cabin!!! Had a wonderful time.
Such a beautiful area and a great cabin!!! Had a wonderful time. The cabin was very comfortable. The hot tub on deck was great and hearing the creek every night was soothing. Would highly recommend this place.
We had a great time
The cabin is peaceful and comfortable. There are many special features we enjoyed like the skylights and big decks. The sun room was a great place for yoga the living room with stone fire place was a great place to read. The hottub is small. It was fine for us, 5'10" and 5'3", and we needed it after a day of hiking. The bed and all the furniture was comfortable and we slept better than we have all year. I think the sound of the creek had alot to do with that. We are planning to return next year and may even stay longer.

Secluded, comfortable, private, woodsy and lots of running water
A very nice week long getaway in a very secluded forest setting. Cabin is comfortable and eclectic with updated technology (satellite TV, long distance phone and internet so you can keep up with work emails if you have to)and a nice hot tub. Lots of local reference literature available in cabin. I got a lot of reading done. Furniture is very comfortable and i fell asleep on the couch (alot). Biltmore is 30 minutes away and a must see-plan a full day there. Be sure to grocery shop at Ingles in Mars Hill-great store. Cabin is well equipped with silverware, pans, dishes etc. Lots of Dvd's and Cd's or bring your own. Loved feeding the wild chickens that visit every day. Creek runs right along side the cabin and provides lots of "white noise." Road coming in is a challenge and you need a vehicle with some ground clearance. My Volvo Xc70 had no trouble, but a regular passenger car might not make it thru the creek and up this gravel road. Tammy is a great owner-provides guidance and is attentive as much as you need.
A little piece of heaven!
My wife and I had the great fortune to spend 3 days and nights for our 8th anniversary at this wonderful getaway! We could have ventured out looking for hiking trails or waterfalls, but we had such a great experience at the cabin that we did not want to leave. The place was in great shape and everything we needed that we forgot at the store was already at the cabin. We were first greeted by the roaring creek sounds that immediately put us in a relaxing mood. Sleeping in the loft under the skylight was very romantic as was the hot tub on the deck that overlooked the creek. I had high expectations from all the reviews that I read, but the experience far exceeded the reviews. My wife and I can not wait to return!

Away From It all
A wonderful relaxing cabin away from everything, but so very comfortable and lovely. The winding roads and the beautiful country side with trees and flowers are a delight to see. The babbling brook that runs in front of the home is soothing. It is a place for those who enjoy the outdoors and enjoying time to do nothing or read a book.
This was our second stay at the cabin, and by chance a spring snowstorm resulted in about 8 inches of snow! As a result, we were happily "snowbound" from Monday to Thursday morning, and it was delightful. The area was so beautiful, the rushing stream just lulls you to sleep, and there are plenty of diversions in and around the cabin to pass the hours. We wish we could have stayed even longer! Great place for pets, too!
Exceeded expectations--hope to relive the experience one day!
From the moment we arrived, we felt as if we had arrived at a woodland home instead of a rental--everything was so folksy and comfortable. My wife and I had just married (3/16) and this was the first stop on our honeymoon so I was hoping things wouldn't be a bust. The setting and cabin truly exceeded my expectations, and I am glad to report we both left very happy! We first arrived late that evening after a long drive from KY. Found the drive adventurous that first night once we made it to the dirt road, but not too difficult which was a relief. The road is not that difficult to deal with if you are used to gravel or dirt roads at all.
The location lends itself to a lot of privacy, quiet, romance, and peace--great for couples. Wolf Laurel Ski Resort is close by as well as horse back riding but we enjoyed walking along the 1 1/2 mile dirt road to the cabin and using the grill and kitchen amenities so much that we rarely left the comforts of the cabin. The hot tub was fantastic, roomy and very clean and well maintained.
Tammy had great information about tourist activities in the area, maps, brochures, etc in the house. She also quickly answered a question I had about finding a propane tank for the grill which allowed me to get back to cooking. We really enjoyed the proximity of the cabin to Wolf Branch and the views it provided as well as the skylight through the roof of the cabin. We can't think of any negatives. We only have positive memories and look forward to return visits.
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate his birthday, and we can not say enough positive things about the cabin, or the booking process with Tammy. The cabin is secluded, but has all the amenities you can ask for. We really enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub, watching the snow fall, after long days of hiking. Our dog Kira loved the cabin too! It truly felt like home while we were there, and we definitely plan to return.

Rest and relaxation
The Wolf Branch Cabin is a perfect mountain escape. The home is surrounded by trees and has a creek that runs right in front of the home, which provides for a peaceful and serene sound of cascading water. My wife and I never even saw anyone else on the gravel road that leads to the cabin. It was very private and felt as though the mountain was all ours.
The cabin was also very pet friendly (which our Lhasa loved) but it is also very clean. We enjoyed Christmas there and look forward to returning...next time to hopefully do some hiking and more exploring, that is if we can force ourselves to leave the cabin.

Cozy, dramatic, breathtaking.
The cabin was everything we wanted it to be. Remote, beautiful views, well stocked. Close enough to asheville, yet far enough to be secluded. We went on walks, shopping in downtown Marshall, horseback riding at Sandy Bottom trails, toured the Biltmore Estates. The locals were friendly and helpful. 1 week was not enough time to do everything we wanted to do. Can't wait till next year!
Tranquil beauty in a serene setting.
Tammy and her cabin are fantastic. It is a wonderful getaway to a unique setting and atmosphere. The cabin itself is a homey haven after a delightful day of hiking, or just a great kickback and enjoy the sounds of the creek form your deckside view! A perfect location from which to explore the variety of the asheville area.

Peace and Tranquility in this beautiful cabin in the mountains
We booked this cabin as part of our tour of the Carolinas and it proved to be the highlight. Coming from the UK, Tammy made booking easy and we were glad that we took her advice and hired an SUV at the airport as the track leading up to the cabin is indeed steep and bumpy. Please be aware that the cabin is very remote and there are no significant shops nearby but the cabin itself is very comfortable and well equiped with nice homely touches that we appreciated a great deal. Waking up in the upstairs bedroom to the tranquility of the mountain forest is something we will remember for a long time. This was a very positive experience and one we would like to repeat when the hummingbirds are in residence.
Happy in the Hills
The greatest escape.
Wolf Branch Cabin was a wonderful experience. The property was beautiful. It was very private and remote. All amenities were better than expected. We had made last minute reservations, every other place was booked for the time we wanted. When we found this property on line and it was available, we thought wow, there must be something not right. We read the reviews, and received a phone call and email from Tammy with in minutes after our initial email. We booked it immediatly This was about 10 days before we arrived. The cabin was very nice, cozy and clean much to our surprise. We wanted for nothing.
So glad we took Tammy's advise on a vechicle and arriving in the day light. The private road was a little intimedating at first, however we got used to it. We were greeted by the neighbors 3 dogs, like clock work, and awaken by the rooster.
We would highly reccomend Wolf Branch to everyone.
It was like walking into home!
Tammy's quick response to any questions we had and all the extra amenities made this a truly fabulous place to stay! She had everything covered and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in the door. Extremely beautiful cabin and countryside which we and the dogs all enjoyed!!! An added bonus was the quick changing of the fall leaves throughout our visit.

Everything we expected and more
Within five minutes after walking in the door, my wife declared this "the most dog-friendly place" she'd ever stayed in. We have two dogs who settled in right away. Baby gates made it easy for us to keep them where we wanted them, and doggie treats Tammy provided were enjoyed and appreciated by both our hounds. She gave clear directions for all the amenities and provides a binder with recommendations on area activities and restaurants. We took several of her suggestions and were never disappointed - especially with Luella's BBQ. You've got to check this place out. The hot tub was perfect after long days of hiking and driving around the mountains. The 35 minute drive down I-26 to asheville enjoyable every time because of the epic scenery, and we got better and better at navigating the bumpy gravel to and from the cabin in our Prius. The low clearance made it more difficult than it might be in non-hybrids, but again, much more than worth it. We enjoyed her extensive DVD and CD library, as well as sitting on the porch watching the family of hummingbirds take turns at the feeder. The kitchen was well supplied and outfitted, and the shed came in handy for stowing our camping gear from the first leg of our vacation. Tammy's communication was stellar and her hospitality was warm and accomodating. In the words of the Terminator - "We'll be back!" Thanks, Tammy!
P.S. Under the "Would you recommend this to a friend" drop box below, there should be a choice of "already did," because we already have!
Not sure we could have found a cooler place to stay. Cabin is very remote but nicely located for scenic drives to asheville or surrounding national and state forest sites. We had a blast exploring the creek that runs in front of the cabin discovering salamanders and rattlesnake plantain orchids along the banks. Really appreciated finding four filled hummingbird feeders in front and back of the cabin when we arrived. We spent countless hours watching and photographing the two dozen plus Rubythroat hummingbirds that visited the feeders from dawn to dusk every day. The cabin is pet friendly and our dog had a wonderful time here. We hope to visit again!

An Oasis Of Peace
It can be said that Peacful spirits reside at Wolf Branch Cabin.
You can hear them in the wind and the water and see them in the sky and the trees...it truely is an oasis of Peace for a weary soul.

Wolf Branch Cabin is an awesome place to go for peace and relaxation and to restore your soul. It offers a home away from home, not just a vacation rental. Tammy is a wonderful hostess and the home has all you need to rest and enjoy a private getaway. It is also a great place to launch from for day trips to nearby towns if you feel the need for more company. So bring some books (or read some of hers), kick back and enjoy the brook sounds. We have been twice now and are sure to return sometime in the future. You won't be disappointed.

Enchanted Realm of the Blissful Monkey
"Over the river and through the woods in the land of fireflies, tucked deeply in Walnut Brook holler, stands the enchanted realm of the Blissful Monkey. It is said that any creature who enters into this charmed abode will be forever changed." and we are! Tammy and Wolf Branch Cabin are a hidden gem - your only regret will be you didn't stay longer!

If you're looking for a rustic, secluded, and peaceful cabin where you can get away from it all to relax awhile, then look no further. Wolf Branch Cabin is just what the doctor ordered. After spending many hours of research online looking for the ultimate getaway where my wife and I could spend some quality time together with our two dogs, we stumbled upon this cabin and thankfully so. Our one week vacation although short, was a pleasurable experience we will not soon forget. The owner Tammy was also great to work with and ensured the whole process from start to finish was smooth and painless. Already looking forward to our next stay.
Wolf Branch Cabin not only met, but exceeded all my and my partner's expectations. Listening to the stream while soaking in the hot tub has become a go-to memory that calms me every time I recall it. Tammy goes above and beyond to create an environment that is instantly home-like with every convenience and comfort. Thanks go to her for creating and sharing this magical retreat. We will be back-with our dogs in tow next time-for another, longer stay!

The Best Ever!
We could not have chosen a better place to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary! The cabin is rustic, charming and provides every thing one needs for the perfect get-away. It is romantic and secluded with an invigorating creek running right next to it. There's a cozy sun room and decks to lounge about on while reading or listening to nature and the babbling brook. It is truly a get-away, a "real" get-away, but the artsy activity and bustle of asheville isn't too far down the road if you want or need it. From the WBC location we went hiking quite a bit, horse-back riding, gem prospecting and exploring. We did dip into asheville a few times for some gourmet food, the hilarious and educational Trolley Tour, a foreign film and to enjoy the street performers and art scene. The mountains and landscape in Marshall, NC were Fantabulous! - You do need vehicle clearance and 4 wheel drive to get to the cabin from the main road - which is very much a part of the adventure!! Wolf Branch cabin was the best time and money ever spent for a vacation. And we've been a lot of places! Fancy, rustic, 5 star hotels to pitching a tent, and Wolf Branch Cabin, the people we met and that area in western North Carolina are at the very top of our list. Can't wait to go back!

Peace and tranquility!!
Staying at the Wolf Branch Cabin was one of the best vacation experiences I have ever had. It was just the break I needed from all the rustle and bustle of life. The creek flowing the the front yard is so relaxing and will put you right to sleep!! I enjoyed the use of a full kitchen, and endless collection of videos and boardgames. Staying at this cabin was definetly a treat and Tammy is the greatest!!
A great time of rest, relaxation and peace!
My family had a wonderful time at Tammy's Wolf Branch Cabin. We enjoyed the cool mornings drinking coffee and tea in the sunroom. My daughter loved pitching rocks into the creek. It was even a beautiful drive to and from town.
Relaxed and Recharged my human battery!
Thank you Tammy for another relaxing stay at Wolf Branch. It's always a little stressful packing up to leave home and all the responsibilities "I think" I'm leaving behind. What I find is that after a few days at the cabin, I come home refreshed and more ready and better able to respond to the (often self-imposed) demands of everyday life. It is obvious that you love and pamper your sanctuary in the woods, and in turn, your guests feel pampered as well.
A little piece of heaven
The bumpy ride up the dirt and gravel road, over the creek and into the hills seems to lead you back in time to a place of utter peace. The cabin is charming and very clean, the sunroom is an oasis of calm, and the best part is the long deck overlooking Wolf Branch creek. The sound of rushing water will lull you to sleep and make you forget all your troubles. We liked having a fully equipped kitchen, the beds were truly comfortable, and we enjoyed the extensive selection of dvds and cds provided. The hiking right outside the door was wonderful (but be prepared for a lot of uphill trekking!) It is over 20 minutes to the nearest gas station to buy milk, but the seclusion is so worth the drive. Dogs are welcomed with snacks and toys, as well as plenty of towels for dirty paws, and they have freedom to romp around the hillside. This cabin is a gem for anyone, but especially for those traveling with four-legged companions.

Peacefulness and Serenity at Its absolute Best !!!
The Wolf Branch Cabin was one of the best rental experiences we have ever had. The beautiful and well-maintained cabin is located in a quiet and peaceful area of the Blue Ridge Mountains right off a private road. The cabin is delightful with its rustic log cabin interior and array of interesting and lovely antiques. The set up of the great room with the kitchen, dining area, and living room (with beautiful fireplace) added convenience to the cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Both bedrooms (one in the loft and the other one downstairs) were attractively decorated and had very comfortable mattresses. The newer addition of a sunroom with skylights and wall to wall windows on two exterior walls was the perfect place to read, pray, and have a morning cup of coffee. But my favorite place (and it's hard to choose a favorite when the entire cabin was so great) was the deck with the hot tub. No matter what time of day, the hot tub was the perfect place to refresh ones mind and spirit as the soothing sound of the adjacent cascading stream combined with the sound of the warm sparkling waters of the hot tub. We are so looking forward to return visits to this awesome place !!! The owner, Tammy Martin, has equipped and kept this cabin beautifully. It has everything you could possibly want for the perfect mountain get-away !!!

Our 5 day stay at Wolf Branch Cabin was more than I dreamed it would be. Far out weighed any dreams or expectations we thought it would be. From the moment we entered the driveway and heard the peaceful waters flowing we knew this was going to be the vacation of a lifetime and it truly was. The cabin is beautifully decorated and furnished. The beds are so comfortable we had a hard time leaving the coziness. The skylight over the loft bed is awesome. The hottub is a great way to relax after climbing, hiking, and exploring the beauty that surrounds you. We loved the porch and the sound of the water never have we been more at peace. We lived well, loved much, and laughed more than we had in years. The road to the cabin and the neighbors along the way were an adventure we hope to take many more times. We didn't stay inside much but hope to someday enjoy the music, movie, and book collection. Outstanding hospitality made our 10 year anniversary more than we thought it could be.
Rested for the New Year 2012
My husband and myself along with Zorro the Kitty and Christmas Chalet the Doggie had an excellent time at Wolf Branch Cabin as always.
From the moment of arrival on the 25th to departure on the 1st we enjoyed our time spent in this peaceful, relaxing oasis.
We did not venture out anywhere for the entire week but instead spent our time reading and walking and exploring along the creek side.
The camp fires we had reminded me so much of time spent camping with my parents as a child and the memories we shared.
Flatlander Who Likes to Hike
The cabin was as promised--secluded, private, and homey.
My husband and I wanted to get away for a week with our dog and do a lot of hiking. Wolf Branch Cabin was perfect. It has a hot tub, seclusion, and proximity to some beautiful hiking in the Pisgah National Forest and on sections of the appalachian Trail. The cabin was comfortable and relaxing. It was thoughtfully stocked with some things like salt and pepper, movies, CDs, and trail maps. My only caution is that it would be hard to reach this cabin (or easy to get stuck here) in bad weather. It also takes a while to get anywhere--even the hiking--due to winding roads. I enjoyed my stay here, but it's not for those who can't live without cell service and internet. It's great for those looking to be in nature, unwind, and enjoy the company of others.
New harmony, in
Just returned from the asheville area and a stay at the Wolf Branch cabin. We had a great time, very quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for a relaxed, get reaquainted and romantic stay this is a great place. If you are wanting to site see and do tourist things I would not recommend it. We didn't venture out after dark because of the road back up the mountain at night. All in all a very nice little get a way for a couple of days.
Just got back from my first stay at Wolf Branch Cabin. It is a ways up the mountain but well worth the trip. Rustic on the outside, but when you go through the door you feel your troubles melt away. This cabin is a home away from home, all the comforts of home plus a creek right in front of the cabin. Between the sounds of the creek, the hot tub and the starts you see when you fall asleep from the skylight over the bed in the loft you can't help but feel calm and serene. My husband and I didn't take our babies (dogs Rusty and Sassy) this time, but if we get a chance to go back we will definately take them. Very pet friendly. If you would like to get away for some peace and quiet we would recommend this cabin to anyone.
Peace and Quiet
The location of the cabin is lovely and a great retreat from the city and/or heat during the summer. The flow of the adjacent creek provides a natural background for the private environment of the cabin. Cabin was well stocked and clean with plenty of space both inside and outside on the deck. Additional plus, the owner gives the guests their privacy and does not "check up" on guests, as some rentals have in the past.
David and Joyce
Take your self to Wolf Branch and expect a welcoming, warm place with all you need to relax, play, pray, heal and rest. It is worth the trip up the road and you can be in asheville in 40 minutes if you want to leave this perfect place. There is a feeling of comfort, love and peace in this home. Thank you Tammy, you really have special place.
Burlington, North Carolina
Relaxing in the cool N.C. Mountains.
We booked the cabin for a week for my birthday and our 32 year anniversary.
It was excellent, the weather was so nice we did not even have to run the air conditioning, falling asleep at night to the sound of the rushing creek is awesome!
Even though there are lots of things to do in the area we did not leave other than one day to get supplies as it is just too hard to pull yourself away from the relaxing seclusion. Read more

Thank you so much Vernell. It was so nice to meet you, Neil & Christmas Chalet Doggie.:) Looking forward to your return visit @ Christmas.
I've stayed at Wolf Branch a number of times. From the moment I get off the highway, to the time I leave the cabin, I am transformed into another world. It's so nice to be able to leave my cares behind, if only for a short time. Tammy is incredibly generous and well prepared for guests. I so appreciate having a place to stay where my dogs are also welcome. If you're searching for the perfect cabin in the woods, look no further. You've found a heavenly retreat at Wolf Branch.

Wolf Branch Cabin is a Jewel Hidden in the Mountains
This was our second trip to the cabin and we love going to this hidden jewel in the mountains. Tammy, the owner provides all the comforts of home and then some. Her heart has gone into decorating this lovely cabin. It has the added bonus of over looking Wolf Branch Creek and you can hear the relaxing sound of the water. The sky light in the loft lets you fall asleep watching the stars. Our 2 Maine Coon cats, who are sister and brother, also love the cabin as well, especially the sunroom with all the windows for them to gaze out of. Hummingbirds abound in this place and there are 3 feeders worth filling for your enjoyment. We saw as many as 6 beautiful humming birds at one time. The jacuzzi is so relaxing and is definitely an added extra. We will surely be returning to this jewel of a place again. Read more

Thank you for your kind words Felicia. Looking forward to seeing you all again next year.:)
We enjoyed our stay so much that we are going back this year! The cabin and location is gorgeous! I loved all of the small touches, like a rain maker and various other trinkets, that made the cabin so charming. We took our four dogs and they had a blast and loved running around. The deck and hot tub were both fantastic. The deck even had doggy gates and a fenced area off the deck so the dogs could go "potty” at night without us worrying about loosing them. Overall, a fantastic, comfortable stay!
A true vacation from the outside world
This is a perfect spot to get away from everything and just relax. The cabin is surrended by nature, and you are lulled to sleep by the creek cascading down the rocks. The hot tub was a highlight of nearly every day. The kitchen was well equipped to make cooking easy. Asheville was just 30 minutes away on the days we wanted to get out, but the cabin is a great place to do absolutely nothing.
We stayed at Wolf Branch Cabin from the night of May 31 until the morning of June 2 and had a wonderful time. This was not only our first time staying at the cabin, but also our first time visiting the Blue Ridge of North Carolina, and things couldn't have been better.
The cabin itself is gorgeous inside and out, with all of the creature comforts that you would want, from a/C to DirectTV to a fully-stocked collection of Dvds. Not to mention the hot tub, which is fantastic on the back after a day of hiking.
I would highly recommend Wolf Branch to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. My wife and I will certainly be back!
Very peacefull and relaxing..
Had all the comforts of home...and then some! The place is very secluded. Perfect place to get away from it all and unwind. The hot tub was a nice touch also. I will stay there again when im in asheville. Thanks Tammy!
Peaceful and relaxing
The cabin was more than we expected. It was very secluded and it definitely took a four wheel vehicle to get to, but it was worth it. We were also traveling with our two furry friends (St. Bernard and Wiemeriner) and they loved the woods and stream. It was close to asheville, and other area attractions (Chimney Rock is about an hour, and Grandfather Mountain was closer). It was fully stocked with all needed amenities and even had some treats for the dogs and for our son. It is a great place for a quiet stay in the mountains.
Adorable cabin nestled in woods totally secluded. Rushing stream's sweet music below front porch and outdoor hot tub. Gas fireplace, grill, comfortable furniture, sun room, wild flowers abound, isolation vacation i can go on and on. If you are looking for a romantic private getaway with all the creature comforts you would want in a mountain cabin look no further!
A wonderful mountain retreat!
This is the second time we have stayed at Wolf Branch Cabin and it is a wonderful place to stay! We feel right at home there (and miss it once we're back home!) Driving up the mountain road is a fun adventure and you really feel like you are away from everything (but still near enough when you want to explore). Great for pets as the porch has a baby gate and their area is fenced-in right off the porch. The sounds of the Wolf Branch Creek right outside the door create instant relaxation (the hot tub is pretty great too!) The owner also keeps the cabin nicely stocked with amenities, linens, large library of books, movies, and music (and pet treats!) ...Into fishing? Fishing streams and rivers galore in the area and also very good hiking on the appalachian Trail. Highly recommend checking out both Grandfather Mountain and Mt. Mitchell and don't miss the Hot Springs Spa! Much to do in asheville nearby also with lots of restaurants, shopping, and the Biltmore. This is a retreat you will want to check out if you love the outdoors and want to get away from it all--we will be back!
Restful, Relaxing, Rejuvenating!!
My wife and I were looking for a pet friendly getaway to wrap up her spring break vacation. We've been wanting to get to asheville and we were fortunate to find Wolf Branch Cabin available. The cabin is incredibly secluded with a rushing creek just outside. It was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The reservation process was very simple and working with the cabin's owner, Tammy, was just a pleasure. She was very responsive and answered all my questions promptly. The overall experience was great and we can't wait to go back.
In love with Asheville
Like staying in my own home but better!
We stayed at Monford Park for a week and it was just bliss. The dogs loved romping in the snow and we loved the warm and cozy inside lol. The house is very relaxing, full of books to read, and very comfortable beds. You won't miss home at all. Tammy is the best.
Love the Mountains.
We had a wonderful time at the cabin and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable secluded location that is pet friendly. Read more

Thank You Vernell your your review.
The owner also recommends AWD/4WD especially for winter time in case of snow as the dirt road is private & not maintained by the state..
I went for a week for a getaway with friends to relax and recharge for the Holidays. Had a wonderful time and really loved the location and all the little touches that went into preparing the cabin for the Holidays. What a surprise. Would love to go back again in autumn.
baton rouge, la
Lovely, had snow .
We loved the cabin it was beautifully keep. , rode to cabin little rough but had be told need four wheeler, wish it had been a little closer to hiking paths, but it all worked out ,Very much enjoyed our stay.
Splendor in the Mountains
Very moving experience. Solitude in a cabin home that was easily accessible from asheville but hidden in the woods. Some of the best trout streams and motorcycling roads I've seen in some time. Gorgeous weather and golden fall foilage enhanced the stay. Camping atmosphere in a homelike setting.
So relaxing and enjoyable!
We stayed at Wold Branch for 4 nights, and it was really wonderful. We brought food to make meals, and the kitchen was really well stocked with utensils and pots and pans. The long porch was really great to sit out on - it overlooked a creek that was lovely to listen to.
We also loved that this cabin is so dog friendly!
Be prepared for the drive up, it can get pretty rough. We drove up in a corolla and a matrix, and they did fine, but something smaller would have a problem.
family get a way
we really enjoyed the peace of the cabin. The creek was so relaxing to read by, and explore. The cabin was warm and inviting, and well stocked. because of the road, our family did not go out exploring much, but it was what we wanted and needed. Our son had to play games with us, and be with us, and to our surprise, he loved it. (thats hard with a 14 year old). We would come back to that cabin. I recomend this cabin for those seeking, peace, beauty, and relaxation.
What we really loved is that our dogs could come on vacation with us, it was very dog friendly, with treats, and bowls, and potty area. Our boys loved it, and so did we.
Privacy and comfort in the mountains
Wolf Branch Cabin was a delightful and comfortable getaway! Tammy answered all our questions and was extremely helpful. The setting was wonderful, very peaceful and secluded, with butterflies and hummingbirds all around. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!
Fabulous house and great location
The Montford Home was a perfect find for our trip to asheville. The house was wonderfully decorated and furnished. We loved the fact that we could walk to downtown during Belle Chere. Tammy was great to work with and was available when we had any questions. Our trip was a great success and we would definitely stay here again!
Even more than I had imagined
I am a mountain man at heart, having been spent major periods climbing and guiding in Nepal, Africa, Argentina, Alaska and the american West. I enjoy solitude, huge green trees, humming birds, and privacy. My expectations were exceeded. The stream at the base of the road was easily crossed with my fairly low clearance Honda. Don't worry about the stream or the road. If you are comfortable with yourself and/or your partner, you should rent this cabin. It's a one of a kind.
Mountain tranquility at its best!
From the first email contact until the reservation was completed, the owner was great! She answered all of my questions. The cabin itself was secluded and peaceful! The drive up to the cabin was an adventure and was exactly like she the owner portrayed it. It is not meant for sports cars! That being said, my son was able to make it up the mountain in his small sporty car without too much difficulty. Would not try it in snow or after lots of rain, however. We loved the privacy since we had 6 small dogs with us that can be a little yappy at times. It is very secluded, so plan on extra time just to get to the main highway if you are going off for day trips. The cabin itself is very homey and comfortable. Lots of room, great library of books, movies and music. Plenty of extras are left for you to use in case you may have forgotten items. It truly feels like you have walked into someone's home--not just a hotel type feeling. The hot tub was the icing on the cake for us. We came back to Florida completely relaxed and longing for another trip to Wolf Branch Cabin!!
Excellent Value! Great Location!
The apple Blossom cottage is one we have returned to several times. The location couldn't be better, just minutes from Skyline Drive and Mt. Pisgah as well as asheville and the Smoky Mountains. The cottage itself is really nice with great amenities, comfort, and situated in a beuatiful place with plenty of privacy (so much better than a "cottage compound"). Tammy and Rosie are really great and the cost is so reasonable I think they are ripping themselves off (no need to change that by the way Tammy). We love it and I'm sure we'll continue to return in the future.

Awesome Cabin is a Jewel Hidden in the Mountains
Wolf Branch Creek is the perfect place for a private get a way. It is truly a jewel hidden in the mountains. Best of all, you can take the furry members of your family with you. Our two Maine Coon cats were content in the spacious sunroom, looking at everything through the large windows. The rustic, yet modern structure was spacious, comfortable & pleasingly decorated. You could view the Wolf Creek from the upper deck. There also was an awesome hot tub, that was most enjoyable. We have already made reservations for next year. We would highly recommend this cabin to any one who is seeking a private mountain resort, and would like to carry their animals with them. Tammy, the manager is great to work with.
The Eilber Family
Lovely, magical cottage in the woods.
We met our son, daughter-in-law and little grandson at apple Blossom Cottage in June. Words cannot express the magical appeal the cottage had for us all. It was a homecoming and a goodbye for our son, who is soon deploying to Iraq. The cottage felt like a nice warm hug surrounding us. From sitting our the porch swing with our grandbaby Trevor, to picking wild blackberries and blueberries for our breakfast each morning, the wonders never ended. We so enjoyed the feeling of peace and tranquility. We eventually ventured out to Black Mountain where the surprises continued. We loved the intimate shops, cafe's and warm hospitality of everyone we met. Upon our return, we enjoyed the hot tub under the beautiful clear NC sky... We plan on making this a yearly date and cannot wait to enjoy our little cottage in the woods again! Thanks so much Rosie and Tammy...you truly showed us what it is like to be pampered...you thought of every little detail and provided us with many wonderful memories of our time in NC!
wake forest, nc
What a beautiful little cottage. The decor was so nice and fit right into the Asheville setting. The downstairs bedroom was cozy and the bed was super comfy. I think it had a memory foam mattress topper on it...yum! The wireless internet was very conveinent and dish tv was nice. We didn't make it to the hot tub but will next time when we don't have the baby and three dogs to look after. The house was set back in the woods with so much privacy. The landscaping was lovely with fresh strawberrys in season and a babbling little pond and stream below. I am going to take some ideas from our stay and use them in my own home.

Beautiful, Home Away from Home
Apple Blossom Cottage is the most beautiful little cabin. It's privacy and comfort made us never want to leave! Being at the cabin seemed more like house sitting for a friend then a rented cabin. Plus it was so close to the Biltmore and downtown Asheville if you ever do get a hankering to head out (which we really didn't).
peaceful and relaxing! A great place to recharge your batteries!
This is our second visit to Wolf Branch Cabin and we would definitely come back again. It is very quiet and private with a lovely stream running across the front of the property and a relaxing hot tub on the deck. The inside of the house is cozy and welcoming and the best part was being able to travel with our pets (including 2 cats). If you wanted to totally get away, this is it. Bring all your food and you don't have to leave. There is also an excellent movie and music selection! Our first visit was for 7 days and this visit we wanted to stay longer and stayed for 9 nights. Thanks again for a great experience!
Asheville wanna be's
Our stay at the Montford home was great. The neighborhood is convenient to downtown and any main route accesss. The accommodations were comfortable (particularily the master suite) and included four different outdoor seating areas. Hisotric Montford neighborhood is a perfect place for walking and gawking at the beautiful homes and saying hello to residents (who were very friendly). The owner was helpful and organized. We were pleased to find such a gracious setting and plan to return.
Ft Lauderdale, FL
I miss the cabin!
We went to the cabin in the woods from Ft Lauderdale, FL. It was a long drive but so worth it! The Wolf Branch cabin is completely secluded. My dogs and child (8 yr old) absolutely loved playing in the creek and front "yard". At night it is pitch black and you can see millions of stars. Beds are comfy and there is an amazing sun room that looks out on the mountain and over the creek. There are several local trails that you can walk to that are great to hike. Hot tub was relaxing and fun. Overall a great adventure!
Wolf Branch Cabin is Remote, Beautiful and Comfortable
We were truly surprised when we finally arrived at Wolf Branch. Our phones stopped working before we turned off the unpaved road for the 7-mile-ride up. (We even drove through some water.) The creek that we followed runs in front of the cabin and is stunning. We played in the water everyday. Our dog, usually cooped up in suburbia, ran free, swam the creek and hiked the mountain with us. We planned our meals, grilled and baked and sauteed. (I almost had to venture out when I realized I forgot coffee. But a quick check in the freezer revealed a fresh jar.) At night, we sat in the hot tub and listened to the creek. The kids were surprised and really appreciated that the tv has cable. We didn't have enough time to delve into the movie library...next time. Sitting up on the porch, listening to the rush of the creek, sipping wine while the dog sleeps on the lounge chair and the kids splash in the hot tub - a perfect Easter weekend.
Charming neighborhood close to town
We had two couples and two toddlers in our group and were so glad to be able to rent a nice house close to downtown. The historic Montford neighborhood is beautiful and very walkable. The house itself is cute and comfortable, and we enjoyed spending time on the patio. The kitchen is newly renovated and modern, and the upstairs master suite is spacious and private. One of the downstairs bedrooms is missing a door, but it wasn't a problem for us. Overall, we had a great trip and hope to come back again.
WOW- Love this cabin and setting
The location and cabin itself are spectacular. Even though we are not hitting Spring yet the area was beautiful. Made it up the road fairly easily withhout a 4wd and it was certainly worth it. Cant wait to go back
Folks if you are looking to get away in the NC mountains around Asheville I have a place for you. Apple Blossom Cottage is where it's at!! My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was AWESOME!! When we arrived it was snowing and we immediately jumped in the hottub...the snow was falling on our heads as we soaked up the fresh air and tranquility of this little slice of serenity. The cottage is about twenty minutes from downtown, but well worth the drive! Set off in the woods, we were able relax and enjoy the QUIET!! If you have kids you know what I mean, we felt so recharged and our relationship needed that break. It was wonderful to get away for a few days and just concentrate on ourselves. With a grill on the front porch I cooked up steaks for our dinner one night and we relaxed with the fire logs burning, enjoying each others company. Don't wait get your selves up to Apple Blossom soon as you can, you won't be dissapointed! I would reccomend this cottage for anyone, with two bedrooms you could bring the kids or another couple, but for us it was about just being together and taking the time out of our busy schedules to be alone and relaxed. Let me tell you that we will be back...we didn't want to leave. For a cozy, fun, lazy vacation head on up the hill to Apple Blossom and enjoy your loved ones in the beautiful setting provided by the owners. Can't wait for our next anniversary, see you in the log book!

Roomy, yet quaint. Lovely decorations for Christmas. Warm, cozy bedding and
the hot tub was fabulous!
Beautiful Mountain Cabin!
My husband and I stayed for a few weeks in Apple Blossom Cottage. It was beautiful and relaxing. It snowed quite often, and the setting was wonderful. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub, while watching the snowflakes fall. Our dog really enjoyed the yard and the snow. The owners, Tammy and Rosie, are great and willing to accomodate you with whatever you need. Although, you won't need much once you're there, except to relax and enjoy your stay. The cabin is comfortably decorated and very cozy. We highly recommend you look to Apple Blossom Cottage for your next vacation.

our 10th anniversary
the WOLFBRANCH CABIN is one of those rare places that just feels right.
there's a sort of deja vu, as if you're in a dream, a beautiful dream that you
never want to leave. privacy is total, romance is in the air, comfort surrounds
you, and nature gives its finest gifts. the decor is beyond awesome, the beds
are super comfy, the sunroom is amazing, the skylight in the loft bedroom is
perfect, the porch is fantastic, the kitchen is super-well equipped, and the hot
tub will soak away all the cares of the world. just watching the hummingbirds
winging thru the trees, or stopping by for some nectar, will dazzle your spirit.
my husband and i have stayed at the Wolfbranch many, many times, and each
visit leaves us refreshed and peaceful - and of course, wishing for a much
Wolf Branch Cabin - wonderful, peaceful, calming place to visit!
We really enjoyed our recent visit to Wolf Branch Cabin. We wanted a quaint cabin to come home to after a day of skiing that had a hot tub and a peaceful nights sleep. I am a bit noise sensitive so hotels are difficult on my nerves. Anyway, the cabin was the perfect. Just wish we had a longer stay. The hot tub helped with the tired muscles and the sound of the creek beside the cabin lulled me to sleep like a baby. Everything was neat and tidy and all the comforts of home were available. The drive in was an adventure, the kids especially enjoyed it. I would recommend arriving in the daylight, as it is a little spooky driving in late, when you are used to lights everywhere and there are none to speak of out there, until you pull in and and motion light comes on... thank goodness! :-) Tammy was very easy to get along with and great at communicating about the place and what to expect regarding weather, roads, etc... There was nothing there that I was dissastified with, other than only having 2 nights to stay!
wolf branch cabin
Wolf Branch Cabin is a cozy yet luxurious retreat in the woods...some of my fondest memories include laying in the hot tub listening to the wind and the nearby stream...gazing at the stars through the skylight in the loft bedroom...relaxing by the fire in the beautiful living room with the high vaulted ceiling. Tammy really knows how to make a place feel warm and welcoming. The cabin is very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I highly recommend renting one of Tammy's cabins for a relaxing retreat in the woods (<;
Tammy's home is the perfect getaway! The location is ideal for touring the Asheville area. Her home is perfectly decorated for a comfortable stay and her service is impeccable! She even asked us what type of sheets what wanted...now that's customer service! Pricing is very reasonable and would be great for a single couple or several couple/family getaway! I can't wait for a return visit, maybe in the spring or fall!!!!

Best Log Cabin for Fall Leaves
Wolf Branch Cabin is the ideal log cabin in the woods. If you want privacy, this is the place to be... especially with its killer hot tub, and rustling creek. Inside has everything you want - very nicely decorated and i just dug the skylight over the master bed to star gaze at night. Its only 30-ish minutes to Asheville (lots of fun things to do), and close to lots of hiking. I'm definitely coming back. The leaves were so beautiful!
We were so impressed with the atmosphere of the cabin; so serene and peaceful. The surrounding beauty was plentiful and secluded enough to make one feel there was nobody around but us. The cabin itself was just enchanting. A wonderful time away from the craziness of the everyday world, will surely be back :0)
Must LOVE dogs !!!

Snow Bound House Bound What a GREAT Vacation Rental !
I can't say enough about this property ! It's COZY and COMFORTABLE.... We stayed here twice already. I plan on booking again for the spring. So much wild life and privacy. Neighbors up the mountain are friendly as well. We had 2ft of snow....my dogs had never seen it before AWESOME. Fireplace was going the whole time and the hot tub was relaxing ! I cooked and never left the property for 3 days.... Laundry room downstairs and two HUGE porches to sit and take in the wildlife and beauty of this area.... 5 star Cabin in the woods !!!
A Home Away From Home
The cottage provides a warm and charming atmosphere that makes you want to come back. The owners provide all the basic necessities needed to make the stay simple and easy....even when there is a big snow storm.
It is pet friendly which is an extra bonus for pet owners. And, the pets love it because they know they can always count on finding a treat in the fridge or a pet toy in the basket.
The property is private and the yard is nice and fairly large. The house has two porches which makes it nice to just hang out and do nothing. The location is off the beaten trail but still close enough where one can be at the grocery store or video store within 10 minutes. We used the location as a base to explore all of Asheville and its surrounding areas.
Other extras include a gas grill and a hot tub.
They think of everything!!
I have stayed in Tammy's locations on mutilple visits & would not think of going elsewhere. Fully stocked & with items you did not even know you needed!
