WisconsinGreat Time Spent In Timberwolf
Left on 07/19/2012 for a stay in July 2012
My wife and I along with our son(on a summer internship at Etsu)spent a long weekend atop the Scenic Wolf Mountain in the Timberwolf cabin. Accomadations were great as well as the fabulous views from our deck of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Every night dinner on the deck and with spectacular sunsets. Enjoyed whitewater rafting on the French Broad River and golfing at Wolf Laurel Country Club. Lucky we were on the cool mountain tops as 100F temps below!

We loved the cabin! We were surprised that the ski lift near our cabin was not running! Also, very surprised the pool was not in operation. So, as a result, we felt that the cabin was Waaayyy overpriced. If we had known, we would have stayed in Wolf Laurel for 1/2 the price and just walked to the ski resort.

Johnson City, TennesseeQuaint, charming cabin in the mountains
Left on 01/04/2012 for a stay in December 2011
Timberwolf is a quaint, charming cabin which has all of the amenities that one needs for a pleasant stay at Ski Wolf resort. The cabin is very comfortable and well appointed. The views from the deck are stunning and the cabin is ideally located next to the slopes, the restaurant and the Welcome Center. Due to lack of snow none of these facilities were open while we were there, but that did not detract from the overall ambience of the cabin. The only downside was the close proximity of other cabins. This didn't cause any problems for us but if you want to really get away from things you might want to select a more isolated cabin. Otherwise, Timberwolf is a great rental for a small group or family.

The cabin was well equipped and pretty clean. It would have been nice to use the pool but it was close. The location was good, it was close enough to asheville but you have to add the treck up the mountain to your trip. Over all we had a great time and will likely stay here again.

Left on 09/14/2011 for a stay in September 2011
My family and I stayed at the Scenic Wolf Resort this past Labor Day weekend. The resort is at the top of the mountain and the cabins all have fantastic views with hot tubs on the decks. The cabin we rented was clean, spacious and nicely furnished, with wireless internet. There is also a glass enclosed, heated pool with water slide. Horseback riding was available about 10 min away. Whitewater rafting is about 30 min away. The kids loved this place and can't wait to go back. I would highly recommend this resort.

The cabin was very clean the beds were comfortable, we enjoyed our stay very much. The only problem we had was it was treacherous getting to the cabins but once we got there it was worth it. The scenery was beautiful.

All we can say is wow!! Awesome accommodations, super friendly staff! This was a spur of the moment trip and it was one of the best we've experienced. The cabin was more than we expected. Hot tub made the stay! The views were wonderful!! The staff helped us get a horseback riding excursion booked. Simply can't say enough good things about Scenic Wolf Resort. Of course the kids would still be in the heated pool with water slide if they could! We planned on getting out more but found the cabin and resort so wonderful we hit the grocery store and spent virtually all three days there!! Most highly recommended!!!

Columbus, OHGreat house with awesome views!
Left on 04/15/2011 for a stay in March 2011
We stayed at Timberwolf at the end March. We woke up Friday morning to everything covered in snow. It was beautiful! It melted by 11 or 12. My husband is an avid hiker so he hiked every morning. Several waterfalls within an hour and downtown asheville is about 25 minutes away. Views from the pool are amazing, wide open mountain views. There is not a "real" grocery store nearby, maybe 15-20 minutes. So it's a good idea to bring some food.

NE TNLoved Wolf the location, food at the lodge, condition of slopes.
Left on 01/27/2011 for a stay in January 2011
The cabin was in a great location but the bedding was not good, beds were not comfortable, extra bedding smelled of mildew, no extra pillows for futon, carpets not vacuumed, 1 bar of soap for 6 people, kitchen equip. needs upgrading (3 cereal bowls, no large pot for spaghetti, etc., 3 wine glasses). Will come back, but not to this cabin, nor will I recommend it. For the price, one felt tricked. One does not expect 5 star at the slopes, but it should be comfortable and clean.

Manager
The conditions described in this review are UNACCEPTABLE to the Resort Management and have been specifically addressed with the appropriate Housekeeping staff. We are addressing the kitchen equipment and will co-ordinate upgrades with the Cabin Owner. The guest was contacted immediately after departure and given assurances of these actions. She was very understanding and plans a return next year.

Cabin and view were outstanding. Very close for family stuff. Would recommend horseback riding. No experience needed as the horses are pretty well trained. Indoor pool with slide that the kids and even the adults loved. Would love to go back.

We really enjoyed our stay in Cabin #31 , the decor is very fitting for the cabin and very comfortable. I wish we would have stayed another night as we didn't get time to use the Hot tub. The porch with the rocking chairs was very nice, we drank coffee and watched the sunrise. Our grandbaby is 3 months old and he loved looking around the cabin at the beautiful decor and the fireplace was great. Thanks so much for sharing your cabin.

If you book this cabin, request that it be cleaned better up front. Nonetheless, it is charming and I would highly recommend it. Excellent view and low summer temperatures! We had 4 adults, and 2 children. If you have a larger party, you may want to consider something with a larger kitchen and family room. Loved the pool and water slide. Dick is awesome, just let him know if you need anything and he'll take good care of you!

The cabin was just down right, GREAT!! The view was terrific. Grill would not work, 5 minutes after reporting, someone there to fix it. Needed extra coffe on 2nd day, 5 minutes after reporting, coffee arrived. Having coffee, sitting in hot tub, enjoying the veiw, enjoying each other. We came to Ashville with 14 Corvettes from our club in Little Rock. They chose to stay in town while we stayed on mountain. Had several up on 2nd night for cookout and everyone was impressed.
Look forward to a return trip sometime in the future. -

We stayed in #31 called Timberwolf. It was a beautifully appointed home
complete with a hot tub on the back deck with MAGNIFICENT views of the
mountains. You can see for miles. Dick and the staff were incredible! The
only thing we would have changed was...we wish we could have stayed the rest
of the week!! The pool was perfect, the decorations in the house were perfect.
On top of all of that was the location. Perched right up on the mountain with
the fresh, clean, exhilarating air...and the views from anywhere on the
property were incredible! We would definitely recommend this to anyone
looking for a relaxing, refreshing, exhilarating, and inspiring vacation or get-
a-way!! -
