Our group had a great time here! We got to bring our two dogs and they loved it! Walking through the trails and enjoying the scenery. The hot tub was great and the house have plenty of room. Loved it!

Here is a list of the things to warrant this review:
Home was not clean as promised; garbage from previous renter under master bedroom bed, water bottles, etc. obviously was not cleaned. Throw rugs in bathrooms were filthy.
Outlets in lower bathroom did not work (I called and left message about this, but no one ever returned call).
Lower level bedroom closet had no pole to hang clothes, only shelves.
No remote for fan in master bedroom - could only use it on "high".
Outdoor grill was filthy, also one burner was broke and hanging down.
Rocking chair on lower level by card table broke.
Rocker on upper deck outside arm was broke.
No top to broiler pan in drawer under stove, so could not use it.
Clothes dryer takes forever to dry clothes.
Also, it should be noted on this home that it is an obstructed view, even though we were high up, we could not view the mountains as other cabins could. This was disappointing.
I do have to say that the few times I called prior to arriving, I spoke to Stephanie, and she was great and always very helpful. -

Raleigh, NCNot what we expected!
Left on 07/19/2012 for a stay in July 2012
All Decked Out was not what we expected, old cabin with old furniture. Many broken furniture pieces, the four pool-table sticks had broken tips, two of the four were kid-sized, kitchen was not well stocked with pots and pans, kitchen table was scuffed badly and refrigerator needed 12-hours to cool after stocking with our groceries. Placed a call to report broken items, left a message and still have not received a return call (two weeks later). Nonetheless, we have stayed at other cabins and townhomes at Wolfe Ridge and will again, just not all Decked Out.

Great cabin. The only odd thing was that it was still decorated for Christmas in March, which was a little odd. Overall good cabin, a few light bulbs missing or burned out but nothing serious.

Beautiful cabin! Great view! A nice change for us since we live in florida. We were blessed to see snow fall! Will definately come back! The only issue is that there is a salt shortage on the mountain! Take your own salt for the ice build uo on the roads!

When we arrived, the main entrance to the resort was being repaved so we had to take an alternate entrance which was quite terrifying. It was also just a bit further from asheville than ideal. However, neither of those issues spoiled our time at the Scenic Wolf Resort. We loved the cabin we stayed in and the beautiful views. It was lovely. We hiked up a ski slope and enjoyed all manner of wild flowers. With the exception of a raucous wedding party in a cabin up the hill whose music we could hear well into the night, this was a peaceful, idyllic spot. I would definitely return. The cabin was well outfitted with most everything we needed, the exception being wine glasses. We're considering returning for ski season, but not having four-wheel drive probably rules it out for us.

Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in September 2011
I rented this cabin for my parents 40th wedding anniversary with the family. We had 3 couples staying here and everything was perfect. The cabin was clean and well stocked, the rooms were big, decorated nicely, all of the amenities without a big price tag. We went into asheville on Saturday but other than that we stayed at the cabin and enjoyed. To top it off the service was excellent, someone had left their Ipod at the cabin and when we contacted the resort the next day they let us know they found it and mailed it back. Now that's trustworthy service - Thanks again!

The home was beautiful, clean and roomy. My daughter and her entire wedding party stayed in the home the night before the wedding and some from the wedding party stayed the following night as well. Everyone loved the home and all were very comfortable.

The house was just as expected and with the free night made it so affordable for us. It was very clean, stocked with everything we could need! I do wish the restaurant and store had been open because we had to drive so far after we got there but I understand since it was out of season.

This is my second time at Wolf Ridge with friends. The service and accomodations have been consistently excellent. This cabin advertises that it can sleep 10. However, if 2 sleep on the sleeper sofa, you can fit 11. There's also another couch on the main level and we had someone crash there, too. The only issue we had was that the bottom level deck doors leading to the hot tub would not lock. Thankfully, everyone on the resort is looking to have a good time so thievery is the last thing on anyone's mind. If you're staying in the cabins, you'll most likely use the Upper Lodge. Be sure to find your way down the mountain to the Lower Lodge skiing. It was more crowded but a ton of fun. Lots of slopes over there and it really opened up our trip. Due the blizzardy weather on our last trip, we had to walk back and forth from out cabin to the slopes. This time we could park our 4 cars right in front of the cabin and drive over. I'd recommend doing that unless you're just in for the extra exercise. It's quite a little walk.

We enjoyed our stay in all Decked Out. It was very cozy and clean. We would have liked to see more cookwear as we stayed in to cook most of the time due to inclimate weather. We wanted to try out the Steak & Rib restaurant, but it was closed during our stay. Maybe next time!

Overall things were great. We did have two mishaps: (1) our a/C went warm, but it was resolved the following morning by changing out the filter; and (2) we lost water for almost an entire day, but it was corrected later that evening. The Main Office was very responsive to these issues. The pool and water slide were great. I would suggest incorporating more hiking trails.

Left on 01/28/2010 for a stay in January 2010
I was called the day before my scheduled trip, and told that our cabin had a
recent leak and that it would not be fixed by the time we arrive. They gave us
a similar cabin but it just was not the same. In this cabin, one of the beds
upstairs, had dirty sheets! There was dirt all over them! In another bedroom,
there was a man's sock (that did not belong to any of my family members.
Gross! However, when we did not have enough towels, they brought us more.
And when we did not have enough pots and pans (this cabin has a very limited
selection of pots and pans), they brought us more. This was just not what I
picked out for my family ski trip. This cabin was nice, but could have been
much nicer if it were clean, had more pots and pans, and was the cabin that I
chose. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but I was disappointed
with the quality of the cabin. This is my fourth year staying at Wolf Laurel and
I am just very disappointed. I spent time off from work and spent a lot of
money to go here and it was just not at all what I have come to expect from
Wolf Laurel.Response from Carolina Mornings - 04/24/2010
Manager
My sincere apologies for your experience. The cleanliness (or lack thereof is totally unacceptable, and as result I have made a major change in Houskeeping procedures. As to the water leak, unfortunately, this was the most severe winter we have experienced here in the mountains for many years. I can't say we were totally prepared for the amount of Snow and Ice that came our way. . We discovered a broken water line (due to severe freezeing) and as result had to dig up the road and replace the line. As committed in our agreement, we moved several guests to new accommodations. The pots and pans have been upgraded. We trust you will give us another opportunity to show our hospitality on your next ski trip.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at All Decked Out. The cabin was nicely appointed and had everything we needed to accomodate our large group. We were able to create gourmet dinners in the kitchen, have several pool tournaments in the game room, and of course moonlit hot tubbing on the back deck! We are already making plans for our next stay.
