We recently had the pleasure to stay at La Dolce Vita. The furnishings were great. The view spectacular. It was for a family reunion we had four other cabins in total, of course ours was the best all around as noted by everyone 25 guests in all. Thank you for helping us feel so at home in your home. We will be back. Only thing we had to do was replace some of the batteries for the tv remotes, that goodness we had some handy.

I was disappointed with my stay through Carolina Mornings. My family and I arrived there to find out internet not working. We called management and they called back within their promised timeline to fix our internet. This was, however, just the first of many aggravations.
The unit was not as clean as it should have been. It was too dusty, but that was the least of the problems encountered. Some of the dishes and utensils were not clean and had crusty food left on them. Management needs to do a better job of maintaining and looking over the property. There was a nail sticking out of the stairs that I stepped on one morning. The dishwasher was not properly secured under the counter. The dryer vent was not properly secured to the wall, which left us afraid to leave the W/D unit running while away.
The home had a nice floor plan, but the location is awful if you enjoy spending your time in asheville and Biltmore Estate. It is pretty but not worth the drive. As for the amenities, I was under the impression that the pool was to be open at certain times but it didn't look like the pool was operating during these advertised hours. Things just didn't seem to be operating on the schedule which was advertised.
As for the service aspect of my stay, I voiced my complaints to management and sent a detailed description and pictures. It took a month to get a resolution response back, which included a $75 gift certificate to be used towards a stay with Carolina Mornings next time. I was extremely disappointed with this response and informed management to keep their money, for my family and I will not be going back there ever again. Responding timely and offering a refund was the only way that management could have mitigated my displeasure with their property, which was not quelled to say the least. If you like the scenery and none of what is described bothers you, then, by all means, rent from Carolina Properties. Just remember: we warned you. Read more

Our stay at La Dolce Vita was the highlight of our multi-site visit to beautiful North Caroline. The decor in this home allowed us to feel like we were visitors in a Southern Living showroom! The beds are comfortable and the rooms so cozy we never wanted to leave. The price was right for our large family and with the pool table and games - we were in Family Euphoria!
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful place, rooms with views and plenty of room to chill out! Read more

Very nice! The only thing that could be improved was the kitchen wasn't stocked as well as Skybox.

The views alone make Scenic Wolf Resort unique. The house had so many amenities that everyone was comfortable and had plenty to do. There is plenty of space to stretch out with a family/play room, living room, and two porches. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were equipped with t.v.s. We all had a wonderful week and thoroughly enjoyed the pool.

We very much enjoyed our stay at La Dolce Vita. We brought our three teenage girls and my mother. The cabin was lovely and the views were spectacular. We even had a day of snow. Not something we see much of in Florida. Our only complaint was that the bathrooms - specifically the tubs - were not very clean. Having three children,we are pretty tolerant of a little dirt and grime, but we still felt we needed to drive to Weaverville the next day for bathroom cleaner. Not really something you want to do your first day of vacation. That said, the rest of the stay was pleasant enough that we would visit the same cabin again. We'll just pack the lysol. :-) Read more
Thank you very much for your review. It is only when our guests give us their opinions and suggestions, that we can address these types of issues. Be assured this issuse with the Tubs has been addressed with housekeeping and in fact, corrected. We welcome you back as our guest.
Roomy House with Excellent Views

Everyone had his/her own space. Rooms were large and bed layout was great for extended family/children. Wonderful views from first or second balcony. Hot tub relaxing and very clean. Nice parking area that accommodates up to three vehicles. We were treated like "family" by the staff especially "The Mayor"...he went extra mile to assist with coupon for whitewater rafting. Location of house very close to pool which was nice since we have two children. Easy walk.
A great time was had by all

The house was very nice and very clean. The furnishings were nice as well. The kitchen could have used a few more pots and pans as we did all of our cooking for our group there at the house. The house is well arranged for a 4 bedroom house and gave plenty of privacy to all of the family. We really enjoyed the swimming pool on location as well. We would certainly rent this house again.
Our family loved the cabin and it met all of our needs.

The cabin was beautifully decorated and very clean. The layout was perfect for our family. The views were amazing and the location was wonderful. Not having to leave "the mountain" was so nice.

Great place with awesome views of surrounding mountains. Was very peaceful, but there were not that many people up at that time. A little confusing on how to actually get to the top of the mountain where check-in was located. But we made it fine. I would however be very cautious during the winter if there is a lot of snow/ice. 4wheel drive and chains may be needed. The cabin it self was awesome with all the aminities that you could ever want or need for a long weekend stay. We had a blast and will be going back.

For our family, the website pictures didn't do this cabin/home justice; it was even better than we imagined or hoped! We loved the spaciousness, the cleanliness, the view, and the amazing way this home is decorated. The decor was beautiful and inspiring. We loved our time here. I've never seen my husband so relaxed. It was hard to leave. I would like to thank the owners of this home for sharing it with others; we are very grateful for our time and memories here. I would also like to thank the staff -- so friendly and helpful over the phone before our arrival, as well as in person during our stay. Also, we were able to have dinner at the lodge Friday. Outstanding food, large portions, and excellent service.

The location was great. The view in the evenings was outstanding. our grandson loved the pool. The lodge rest. was only open on Fri. and Sat. nights but the food was really good. During our stay we saw a bear, deer and an otter. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed right there on the mountain all weekend. The kids loved the pool and slide. La Dolca Vista was an amazing cabin...well kept, clean and fun. The adults enjoyed the hot tub one night. The views are amazing. The staff was incredible nice and very accomodating. The only thing we didn't like was a pool party for the locals on Saturday afternoon. The pool was overcrowded with rowdy kids/teenagers.

Our stay at La Dolce Vita over Thanksgiving was fantastic! The views from the two decks are incomparable. I loved relaxing in the hot tub at night with the sky filled with stars! The set up of the cabin with a living room on the main floor and a rec room on the bottom floor was perfect for our two families. The adults could relax and watch TV or chat upstairs while the kids played video games or pool downstairs. I especially loved the "cafe" downstairs and enjoyed a capuccino every morning during our stay. The location was fantastic up on the mountainside while still close to Asheville. We spent one of the days during our stay visiting Biltmore House and doing the candlelight tour. It was truly a memorable Thanksgiving!!

We came looking for someplace to relax and spend time with our family and what we found was unbelievable. Our "mountain home" was spectacular!!! It was decorated beyond anything we could have imagined, down to the smallest detail. And the views...WOW!! Our kids 17,15,12,and 10 had a great time playing pool in our "house" or smimming in the enclosed heated pool 100 yards away. This was a great place for our busy family to slow down and enjoy each other as well as the beautiful mountains that were all around us. Thanks to Dick Wolfe and his staff for a great vacation.

This home fitted our three-generation family well, with bedrooms on three floors, a comfortable living room, large dining table, and wonderful decks. In addition to the house we enjoyed the enclosed swimming pool and outside hot tub. The long drive up the narrow mountain road discouraged us from making a lot of field trips, and in the off season there is no restaurant on site. Internet access was good. The gas grill wasn't really functional and the blender was missing its gasket (alas, no margaritas!) but otherwise the kitchen was acceptably equipped. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It's a beautiful spot, slightly marred by the ongoing construction. Read more
We at Scenic Wolf are very happy that your family enjoyed the home and had plenty of space as well as the pool and hot tub! We apologize for the issue with the blender and appriciate you bring it to our attention so we can replace it for the benefit of future guests! Lastly - The construction will be kept to a minimum so as not to impact future guests. Again, thank you for taking the time to give us such valuable feedback!
