Our kids recently got out of the Navy and we thought this would be a great way to celebrate their dedication and service to our country! This was a wonderful location to celebrate God's blessings and be together as a family! The guys enjoyed playing golf at a nearby golf course and the girls enjoyed the shopping and spa treatment in nearby asheville.
Great house with beautiful views!

This house had a great layout and offered plenty of space for large gatherings or different floors for smaller groups. We loved the hot tub and spacious bar but it could have had some wine and drink glasses to use. (There were very few glasses even in the kitchen, which could have also used some more pans and utensils) The decks were great and views were spectacular. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for our family of 8. We loved the nearby activities of Navitat for ziplining and white water rafting. We appreciated the other amenities such as washer/dryer and Internet. However, the house was very dirty, window wells hadn't been dusted in months and were full of bugs. It appeared that only the top surface of anything had been dusted. We also could have used a broom and/or vacuum. When you have a large crowd in and out and cooking every day, it would be nice to be able to have access to a broom or sweeper to clean up a little. New cleaning service personnel should be hired or they should be supervised so the home is in better shape. The recliners and couch should be replaced as soon as possible as they are all broken.

Hide a bed couch was a piece of trash...couldn't even sit on it as the middle sinks all the way to the floor. Had to sit on fireplace hearth and use kitchen chairs.
Sliding door would not open even after maintenance man came and worked on it.
Clock radios in the house were not set so we tried to do it ourselves and either they don't work or they need to leave instructions how to operate. There were 5 adults who tried to set the time and couldn't figure it out.

The location was great along with the services and the cabin could have been really relaxing and nice. But out of all the times I have stayed at cabins this one was not OK. The tubs were not clean; the upper bedroom had a broken bed along with a very uncomfortable mattress that folder in the middle. The lower level bedroom had other uncomfortable mattress that folded in the middle and no TV in the room. All the remotes in the house didn't work; either it was the batteries or the wrong remote, not sure. No enough kitchen supplies/ utensils. The window sealing were full of dead bugs, hadn't been clean in a while. The recliners were broken, either wouldn't let up or back down. I think whoever is doing the cleaning needs to be supervised. We did make the best of it but not sure that we will return to neither this one nor our guest.
My Stay at Margaritaville

I usually do not write reviews but I have to write one about my stay. I loved it! I was pretified of how steep the mountain was and how there was a huge pot hole in the rode going up the mountain though. I also had a complaint about the hot tub. It seemed to be dirty. So i called property management of which they called Mr. Wolf and he personally came to see what was going on. He said that he does not play with complaints, especially when it comes to the properties being dirty. He said that it was not dirt but it was iron and asked us if we still wanted it cleaned out. Of course we said yes and someone was up there to clean it out in no time!! This was a very relaxing trip. A beautiful resort. Love Love Love!! It was about 11 of us including 4 children and everyone slept comfortably. Highly recommend! Will be coming back!

We loved it all from the view, the view, oh and the view! Haha, it was amazing. The cabin was nothing like my home but I felt very "at home". We went as couples but I have to bring my family back. Sad part is the restaurant neither the pool was open but hopefully next time we will be able to enjoy them both. I'm rating the comfort a 4 instead of 5 because the mattress are not so comfy but the surroundings make up for it. Oh and definitely visit the Biltmore.

We had a great time in ashville. The cabin was not super duper far from the city, and the 20 minutes drive was actually quite exciting considering the beautiful mountain views. Speaking of mountain views, the cabin located high up on the mountain therefore the views were spectacular. The Margaritaville was nice, clean and comfy. As a first time mountaineer, I was pretty frightened by the steep drive up and down the mountain. I had didn't realize how high up the cabin would be. The only down fall is that the ski resort seemed to be out of business dispite the many beautiful cabins surrounding it. The whole transition from reservation to key-drop off was very clear-cut. Overall we had a good time, but will probably consider another location for family trips. This location is best for friend-group trips.
Loved the house
Left on 02/21/2012 for a stay in February 2012 | Jim
Overall we loved the house, it was clean and well kept, we had 4 families staying there and had plenty of room. The only issue was it snowed and had to get "towed" out as did everyone on the street that did not have a 4 wheel drive. Note related to the house but location. The ski resort, really isn't a resort, much was closed and we were told it was in foreclosure which is a shame, hopefully they can get it opened again(pool and upper lodge). Overall would recommend the house for a rental and would stay again. Thinking about coming back in summertime.

unfortunately the smell of a dead mouse greeted us. I could not tell if the house had actually been cleaned. most dishes were dirty. but nice view and good time was had. Just expected a little more for $550/night.

We had a wonderful time at the Scenic Wolf resort. The resort was well maintained and the people friendly. The Margaritaville cabin was beautiful though there could have been some improvements within the cabin itself especially with the furniture! (not so comfy and some in need of replacement) Parking is also limited for this cabin due to the slope of the parking area. The view was gorgeous and we enjoyed the sunsets that being atop a mountain can provide. Overall it was a good experience and one that a family who chooses a mountain resort to visit each year highly rated.

We had a wonderful stay at Margaritaville!! The cabin was
amazing! Perfect for our stay. It snowed much more than we thought it would and we got stuck trying to get out.
The cleaning crew tried to help and when they couldn't, they got someone that could. Not sure who it was, but I think one was the property manager at the time. The other was known as the "Mayor". They were both so wonderfully helpful getting us down the mountain!! We were very grateful. We will definitely recommend the cabin and/or the community and are already trying to plan a stay in the future!

This is our second trip to Scenic Wolf. There were 4 couples and we had a wonderful weekend. The cabin was wonderful. We enjoyed the hot tube. We loved the game room for the men and the women had the other three floors. We will be back soon!! I would stay at Margaritaville cabin again. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

My husband and I got with another couple from our church and rented this place for the weekend. It is huge!!! Last year we went to the Smokies in TN and also had a luxurious cabin. However, we paid even more for that cabin and it was less than half the size of this one!! This baby has a total of 4 levels (if you include the loft). The tiki bar is awesome!!! The only complaint is that the road outside is not paved (gravel), though, I would imagine they would pave it soon. Other than that, the beds are comfortable, the showerhead is great! We really enjoyed our stay and will definetely be back!!

We spent 3 nights in Margarittaville during a recent family reunion. The resort staff was wonderful! Check in was a breeze and when we ran out of gas in the living room fireplace they arrived quickly to refill it. They were also very helpful when we needed someone to snap some group photos by the waterfall. The cabin was absolutely beautiful with plenty of space for 3 families. The hot tub was wonderful and we really enjoyed playing pool and watching movies in the game room. The tiki bar was also a big hit and a great place to watch Sunday afternoon football and mix up some margaritas. I only wished that we could have stayed longer.
Just a nice relaxing place high up in the mountains!

I loved out stay at Margaritaville. The house is large enough for 4 adults and 4 kids to have space to be together and space to be alone! I especially enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful decks with rocking chairs where I spent every evening watching the beautiful sunset! I recommend this house highly. The only drawback was the gravel road, but even that was not much of a problem in the summer.
House o' Kids
Love the house, hate the driveway
Left on 03/18/2010 for a stay in February 2010 | House o' Kids
We had a wonderful time with 6 adults and yes, count them 9 kids 8 and under for a 4 day weekend in the snow. It was picture perfect, the house was a great deal of fun and the tiny little slope they call skiing was perfect for kiddos. We used sleds and trainers and snow angels to exhaust the little munchkins. There are a few things to note before going:
- The drive way is HORRIBLE. It is on a slope so bad that when it iced, our cars slide in reverse. It is the only non-paved street in the development and the only house with said driveway issues. Really consider this depending on the weather and your vehicle type. It made for drama everytime we needed to turn the key.
- The all wood floors are loud. Sleeping babies found the stomp, stomp, stomp to be very hard to sleep through.
- The house is 4 floors. It is not for those who can not do stairs.

This cabin was so much fun! We loved it! It was nicely furnished and cleaner....
than the last cabin we stayed in on 2/10. It also did not have any major
functional problems the last cabin we stayed in had. I would stay here again!
The only issue we had was the ground in front of the cabin was sooo soft
because of warming temps and rain-- there was sooo much soft mud to get
stuck in! There was some stone down-- and it was a very steep grade to park
you car! If it had not been for me constantly saying to the kids-- dont step in
the mud and check your shoes before going inside-- mud could have been
everywhere including my car! So if it had been snow-- I would have doubted
my ALL wheel drive denali could have survived that without challenge of being
stuck! Overall-- if skiing conditions were better-- it would have been great
overall! Would stay in this one again-- earlier in the season!

The house was really nice, it had great views, plenty of room and was decorated nicely. The hot tub was great after a long day of skiing. We did have a few issues with the windows and doors leaking in the game room during a rain storm (it was a bad storm) and the 8 ball was MISSING from the pool table...I will definately consider going back again in the summer or fall this year.. Hopefully this time no balls will be missing! All in all a good trip was had by everyone...

The staff is so friendly and helpful, and the cabin was just beautiful, everything you need is there. There is a wonderful view, and a nice game room, and you cant forget the hot tub, sitting in there and watching the sunset is the best. You have to experience it once and you will be back for more, I know this was my second trip.

We rented 3 cabins over the weekend for a wedding celebration. We loved the view and the location. It was very peaceful and a great place for family members to gather from as far as California, Indiana and New York. All the amenities were first class. The Tiki bar was one a favorite for the adult members of our group! Great place to visit..

The cabin and all accommodations related to our stay were fabulous. Three families fit very comfortable in the cabin - there was a lot of space and even the teenagers had a ball down in the game room. The view was spectacular.
I have no recommednations for improvement.

Cabin and view was tremendous. Great fireworks display, one of the longest
I've seen. Would like it better when the road to the cabin is paved, can be a
little tricky/slippery when it rains heavy.
Would go again for sure!
