VABest Girls Retreat ever
Left on 12/07/2011 for a stay in November 2011
I would love to start off by saying that this was perfect for what we all needed!!! Missi was very accomodating, and answered my calls and emails in no time! We loved the dining area, and the entertainment room downstairs.. this is where we spent the majority of our time when there. My bed was super comfortable, plenty of room and bathrooms. It was very cozy... plenty enough room for everyone, we could have had several more people! I loved that we were at the end of the row... that gave a little more privacy. We used almost every inch of the place. I really only have a few complaints... I wish that the hot tub were bigger, the dryer was very touchy.. we had a hard time getting it to work, and we never figured out how to lock the back doors upstairs and in the basement. Also, there weren't many wine glasses, but we bought 6 and left them as sort of a gift! Thank you all so much for the hospitality, and for providing 5 of my best friends and I a long weekend we won't forget!!!

Left on 11/10/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We had a great time at our stay at Sky Box. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of space to spread out. The cabin was very comfortable and nicely appointed. The view was absolutely fantastic. Our only complaints were that the mattress was uncomfortable in the master and there weren't enough lids for pots (very minor detail). We're already planning to come back next year.

This house is perfect for a large family with children or adults wanting a fun getaway. Great gameroom downstairs with flatscreen and air hockey table for kids. Very clean home with anything that you need. Great view and only about 100 yards to ski slopes. Excellent place and we are picky people.

We stayed at the 'Skybox' cabin in Scenic Wolf Resort with a bunch of friends over the Labor Day weekend. It was an awesome experience overall - the cabin had great amenities (air hockey table, hot tub, grill, shared pool with water slide) and an amazing view. The people at the front desk were warm and hospitable, and we enjoyed a weekend of absolute relaxation!

Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in July 2011
My family and I had a good time at the resort. There were a few things that didn't work or had some issues.
The location is great if you want seclusion. We were pretty far up the mountain which made us not want to venture down too often.
Over all the experience was good. I would recommend it. -

Left on 07/06/2011 for a stay in June 2011
My family and I stayed at Scenic Wolf Resort for 4 days and nights in June 2011. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was exactly as described, and the staff at the welcome center were professional and helpful. They even took me directly to my cabin so I would not get lost. This was a nice touch after traveling 4 hours from Raleigh! I highly recommend Scenic Wolf resort and the Skybox to any family looking for fun and adventure.

The cabin was great and accomodated all of us very well. It was clean, the view was awesome, and we are already making plans for next year. We're even considering getting a second cabin and taking more friends along next year. Definitely hoping to make this an annual trip.

I took my 17 year old son, his friend, my two daughters and their boyfriends, and my signifigant other to the resort for my son's birthday to go snowboarding, which was something I'd promised him for years. They had a blast. Me and my partner also had a blast walking up the slope to watch the skiers either do well, or fall down. We met at least 6 of the ski patrol, who were very nice and funny. Although the snow was a bit slushy, the kids had a great time. They loved being able to walk back down to the cabin and walk back up to continue skiing. The hot tub was fabulous for us! After an entire day/night of skiing, the hot tub was fabulous for the kids as well. The dual fireplaces were awesome, the air hockey competition was fierce, and the kitchen had everything we needed. My boyfriend is an awesome cook, and we had a lot of fun trying to keep up with meals for the kids. Although we greatly underestimated the appetites of two 17 year old male snowboarders!!

Left on 02/03/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Great cabin! Thanks for clearing the roads so quickly. I was dissappointed that the foosball table was broken. We looked forward to using it. Also, no playing cards. And the hot tub was cold when we got there. It's time to replace the matress on the fold out couch in the game room.

Bremen, GANew Years Ski Trip
Left on 01/20/2011 for a stay in December 2010
We had 11 people in our group, 10 of which skied or snowboarded. The ski school is very affordable, we had a 5, 6, and 8 year old that took private lessons from Craig, he was a high school student and great with the kids. They picked up skiing in a matter of 30 minutes, the snowboarding is a little harder but can get the basics in the school. The house was clean with lots of room for everyone to spread out. The kids mostly stayed in the basement playing games and the adults could stay on the main level to talk and watch T.V. The slopes are great for starters and even intermediate skiers that do not want to travel out West. The only part we were dissappointed about was the the 3 days we were there the upper lodge slopes were closed. There is another lodge and slopes at the bottom that was open everyday. The food at the lodges are expensive, for example chips are 2.00 a small bag. If you have kids, I would suggest taking some crackers or something to put in your ski jacket to have handy. There are also locker rentals but are small just for your boots etc. They will not hold your skis so be prepared to take them back and forth to your cabin/house. If you have small children I would also suggest some kind of water proof bag to take boots and things back and forth to the car. We never had enough arms to carry all the skis, boots and other items back and forth. We did have a great time and plan on going back again.

Left on 10/21/2010 for a stay in October 2010
Great mountain views, the best that I have seen, the people at the welcome center were great. The pool looked like it needed some upkeep, at the top of the indoor pool slide it was very dirty, one of the ladders was broken with tape around it. Advertised bike rentals on website, but they did not have them as well as trails that were on the website, none. Overall it was okay...

Left on 10/07/2010 for a stay in October 2010
Excellent. Loved the game room downstairs (great for the kids). We had a family reunion and everyone had a wonderful time. Used indoor pool and hot tub-excellent! Skybox was clean and fresh. Nice long table, so group met at our house for dinner. Only suggestion was to improve cooking pots (remove old Teflon pots and replace with unscratched ones). Needed more serving spoons.

we were so excited upon out arrival. The house was just lovely. I brought my aunt from Boston to visit Biltmore and my son drove us from northern Virginia. There were two occasions I had to call the office and spoke to Missy. She was so informative and friendly. Even wtih the rain showers we enjoyed our family time in the skybox.

Greenville, SCNice place and good value
Left on 02/24/2010 for a stay in February 2010
My family and I staying in this house in mid-February. It was very convenient to the slopes and we had a great time. The views from the house are absolutely fantastic!!! The house is well-appointed and the kids (4 teenagers) loved the hot tub and air hockey table. Plenty of tvs with lots of channels (cable).
The only problem we had was with cleanliness. It was obvious that no one had been there in a long time and it looked like the rodents had moved in. There were mouse/rat droppings in the kitchen drawers and behind the dressers in the bedrooms - a little creepy. I mentioned it to the staff and hope that they have fixed the problem. We would certainly stay there again, but just be sure that it was thoroughly cleaned before we stayed.
The resort is very nice with lots of activities for the kids. The ski equipment rental is rather disorganized and takes a long time. But overall it was lots of fun and the house was quite nice - as long as you don't have any furry visitors! :) -

CharlotteGreat House!
Left on 01/07/2010 for a stay in December 2009
We had a few couples stay here over New Years Eve and it was a beautiful house with plenty to do. There was plenty of space and it was very clean. Only thing that would have made it better would be to have more queen sized beds, one couple had to sleep on the twin beds. Would be great for a large family with kids.
