If you thought Scenic Wolf Resort was nice during the summer, wait until you see it covered in snow! It's an amazing view, and there's skiing just outside the cabin door during the winter months. Imagine enjoying your private hot tub while snowflakes are falling... We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Mountain Airie log cabin. Check in and dealings on the phone, individuals were extremely nice and helpful. The individual home was nice and on par with other vacation homes rented in the past in different parts of the country. We woke up to water pouring in around a number of windows (the windows were closed and locked)during a middle of the night torrential rain/thunderstorm. The water was pouring in between the frame of the windows and the siding. It was a significant amount of water. One window in basement bedroom, 2 double windows in basement den, and 1 double window in master bedroom upstairs. I do understand that it is a winter resort, and that figures in my review, but the overall look of the development had a very dingy appearance. There were significant holes in the asphalt roads and the pool was dirty. Beautiful view/general area but would I stay there again - I really would have to think about that one real hard. Thanks for listening.

A few college friends got together for a mountain trip and had a great time here at Mountain aerie. The staff was very helpful. We really enjoyed the hot tub, the pool table, the big screen TVs, and the bar downstairs. We had plenty of room, and we enjoyed visiting ashville. This is a great value.

This was the best Christmas ever with my husband and my 3 wonderful girls. The cabin really made us feel like we were at home. Such a wonderful place to be. Even though it didnt snow when we were there the veiw was beautiful. We drove about an hour and 20 mins to go to the snow but still well worth the trip. I will come back to this resort and get this same cabin. I loved everything about it. I wouldnt change anything about this cabin. When we needed something in the cabin and called the front desk. Someone was right there( in no time at all).

Service was excellent before, during and after! Dick could not have been more helpful. Our favorite thing was the view from the deck of this house -- it is outstanding -- and unique because you get a full sunset view and a pretty good sunrise view as well. (We only wished they had a couple more of those rocking chairs on that deck!) Hot tub was excellent & easy to use & super-clean. Seating in basement area is extra-comfy for movie/TV watching. Nice pool table. Home is very attractively decorated and thoughtfully appointed, making for a very pleasant stay. Temps up at this elevation were so pleasantly cool for mid-August. Indoor pool is nice even in summer because they have sliding glass doors they leave open. We enjoyed it so much we are planning a larger family gathering during the holidays using this house and the one next door (#70).

We spent one week in Mountain aerie and most of the plans we had to do the 'touristy' things fell apart because everyone wanted to stay 'home'!! We did do a lot of fun things but the best part was hanging out in the cabin. The only downfall was the lack of a PS3 for viewing BlueRay movies and a dart board. (They are mentioned in the amenities)It is a wonderful cabin to relax in. We recommend it highly!

The house was perfect...except that I wouldn't say it really sleeps 10. We had one couple back out thankfully, or we would not have had space for them...a bean bag does not a bed make!! 2 couples plus kids, sure. but...
However, the view was amazing, the location was perfect for us and the house was clean and had everything we needed, including a pool table!!! -

We totally enjoyed our stay the cabin was spotless, the skiing perfect! Our boys had never skied before and before we knew it they were all over the mountain. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

We loved Mount aiere and Scenic Wolf Resort. The house was beautiful and the views wonderful! We spent the week and had loads of fun. Everything is so convenient and we loved the fact that we could tour the surrounding attractions and come home to a beautiful place.

The cabin was great, nice rooms, great view, etc...
On Saturday night the people in the cabin next to us (# 70 - I believe ) had a party until 2 am and were very loud and rude.
All the time we were at the cabin someone else had their trucked parked in front of our cabin. I am not sure we will be back. Going to a place for a weekend vacation is not listening to a wild party until 2am and then getting up and leaving before 10 am to check out. You need someone at this resort to ride around and check on things and control the other visitors. -

Wow, what a place for a vacation. You are on top of the world and the accomodations were awesome. There were 17 of us in three houses ranging from 12 to 78. we all had a great time, the views were special and the staff extra special. This is the place if you are looking to get away.

We rented 3 cabins ( 48,115,&135) for 22 people and everyone had a great time. The cabins were kept very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would not count the sleeper couches as a comfortable place to sleep but everything else was great.

Our stay at Scenic Wolf Resort was perfect! 48 Mountain aerie was beautiful! Felt like home...the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. The view at sunset from the balcony was breathtaking. Loved the rocking chairs on the deck! There is so much to do in the area. Next time we have to stay for a full week!

resort. We had an awesome time. The staff at the
check-in were really in good spirit and that just
made the whole trip start off right. Our cabin was
awesome and we enjoy all the amenities that it had to
offer as well as the resort. The indoor pool and the
hot tubs made the trip real enjoyable. All 8 of the
guys stated that would like to make a return trip
soon and bring their significant other. I hope to
come for a return visit here in the near future. -

We really enjoyed our stay. The Mountain Aerie was absolutely
beautiful...perfectly maintained...peacefully quiet...all the amenities...great
pool at the resort...and beautiful views.
I guess the only complaint would be that it was a little bit more of a drive from
Asheville than I had expected...climbing up and down that mountain was
something we only wanted to do once a day. But overall we loved the
experienceand would definitely consider staying there again. -

The house was great. Nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen even had a griddle and a crock pot! We put both to good use! My boys (5 and 14) were very pleased with the gaming systems and games that came with renting Mountain Aerie. One of the things I really appreciated was the door leading to the downstairs area. We also have a 18 month old and a lot of the cabins we have stayed in had no way to close off the stairs. We were able to enjoy the main living area without having to constantly watch the stairs. We enjoyed it so much we are coming back in July for a week and bringing my sister from Michigan! On a side note, my 14 year old was practicing for his first triathalon when we were there. The staff was so helpful, they even came out and measured the pool for him!! I would definitely recommend Scenic Wolf Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend!

We had a great time there. My grandkids had fun playing in all the snow. It snowed practically the whole time we were there. We really needed the 4-wheel drive capability of my truck to get up and down the mountain and almost needed chains (we had them). Initially thought I needed a shovel or something to clean the snow off the porch and steps but in hindsight could have used plenty of hot water to do it. We don't get much ice and snow in south Louisiana so we aren't up to speed on how to handle it. The condo was great, the skiing was great and we recommend it highly.

Checking in was quick and everyone was so nice. The cabin was beautiful! The master bed was super comfortable.The kids loved the games! I did wonder why the icemaker did not work in such a nice place. It was really icey outside and at times the cable would go off.. but it was amazing how quickly things were back to normal! Staff and everyone was so nice and accomodating. Pool was great. Awesome to swim with so much snow outside. Just a wonderful experience! Also, the cabin is quiet. Great layout with the bedroom and all the games downstairs, it made things quiet for us! We are wishing we could go back now!!

My family and I spent 5 days at your beautiful resort and ehad a wonderful and refreshing time in the mountains of NC. THe accomodations were great and we enjoyed the fact that Asheville was only a 30 minute drive. We look forward to visiting once again.
