You always hope that the pictures and description that you see online represent reality when you get there. I'm happy to say that in this case, it did. The 'mountain time' cabin was everything we expected. The cabin easily accomodated our family of 6, with enough room across the 3 floors so that nobody was bumping into each other. While we had activities planned during the day, we enjoyed our downtime at the lodge by playing pool, foosball, sitting in the hot tub, and just relaxing on the deck.
The house was clean, except for a couple of crickets we found, and everything was in working order.
We liked the fact that the cabin was in a community, but didn't feel like it took away from the experience. The community also had a pool, but we found that with a hot tub onsite, and activities we had planned, that we didn't have time or desire to use.
The location of the cabin fit most of the activities we planned; Biltmore, rafting, zipline, horseback riding, but added travel time for a couple of activities south of asheville (sliding rock, Dupont state forest).
Would definitely stay there again if planning a similar vacation.
House was great, but the lodge and the pool weren't open.

The house was fantastic, but dining options are very limited,so won't return. Read more
We always appreciate our guest responses. However, the swimming pool was closed in October and all references were deleted from the website. all current reservations and future reservations were advised of the closing. It will be open on April 1st, 2012. All our cabins are equipped with full kitchen facilities and guests are directed to local super markets to purchase food for their own use. Grills are provided on the decks at no charge to the guests for propane. There is a restaurant facility located on the premisis, however it is not owned by Scenic Wolf and hours of operation are under the control of the owners. We apologize for the inconvenience to our guests.

Awsome! time at the cabin- kitchen was overstocked for a rental and was great - Game Room was liked by kids of all ages- spending the Christmas week with family for the first time in a few years was wonderful - then to have the cabin be more than we expected was even better.
Thank You and to the owners for keeping a beautiful place for people to enjoy on family getaways! We will be back to Mountain Time.

Excellet service, and facillities, however must signalling the road better in order to arrive to the cabins. If there is a snow storm must prebvent the access to the right road in order to avoid any accident and must clear the road or closed if it is ice or slippering

We picked up our daughter from Brevard music camp and stayed a few days at this resort. It was farther away from what we wanted to see and do in asheville, Pisgah National Forest and French River rafting but it was well worth the drive. The house was beautifully furnished and the views amazing. The community pool and slide a blast for adults and kids alike. After long days hiking, rafting and touring the area homemade dinners, the hot tub and views were perfect. Lots of space too. Thanks we'll come again.

I found out about the resort from some friends who had stayed there in the winter and summer. I felt like we got a really good deal on the price. When we first walked in it was incredible! It was clean - but not really clean. There were to many spider webs and very dusty. The bathroom upstairs drove us nuts all weekend - when someone flushed it would run and those that slept on the first floor it sounded like water was dripping on us and it made an awful knocking noise. They do provide a lot of what you will need especially in the kitchen - the one thing we could have used more of is Towels. But we all agreed (there was 6 of us) that we would defintiely come back!

Great cabin with all the amenities, Perfect setup for families with small children. Cabin was very clean with nice furnishings, kitchen had everything we needed. The parking is tight out front but manageable. We had a great vacation.

Great cabin in a beautiful location with a super friendly staff! Had family from 12 to 82 in the cabin and everyone had a great time. Kids in the basement making noise didn't bother the adults upstairs. Very accomodating cabin, clean and well stocked. Staff at Scenic Wolf couldn't have been nicer. We will be back!

Beautiful Cabin, Furnishing and Decor Outstanding,
View Of Mountain Scenery From Cabin Breath Taking.
Sports Room With Pool Table and Hot Tube Out On Deck a Big Bonus. I Recommend Cabin Cabin #69, Mountain Time Over any Place We Have Ever Stayed.

We had a great stay at Scenic Wolf. Beautiful scenery, top-notch accommodations. Had some trouble following the web site's directions. Our cabin was spacious a luxurious (for a cabin)--wouldn't have minded being stuck inside for a few days.
Beautiful Cabin in Mountains

Beautiful Cabin in Mountains with plenty to do for the whole family. The kids loved the pool table and foosball and the hot tub was very relaxing. Beautifully decorated too!

My boys absolutely loved the pool with the slide. A definate must for a family with kids. Check-in was unbelievable, she had everything ready for us in a folder and it took 2-minutes if that. We had a problem with the propane after hours and the maintenace man showed up within 10-minutes. The cabin itself was very spacious and comfortable. The only 2-downsides were it wasn't as clean as I expected and the view of the mountans is covered by trees. The trees need to be taken down to actually have a full view. We went to the pool at night to enjoy the sunset because they have a clear open view instead of the cabin. I would definately recommened staying during the 4th of July weekend due to the incredible display of fireworks. Honestly, it's similar to Disney and lasted 25-30 minutes.

The house needs to be clean when it is rented; we all expect a rental to be properly vacuumed, without dead flies on the floor and hair from previous renters; the oven was unusable, extremely dirty...so we have not been able to use it. Light bulbs are cheap, and usually you need one in a master bedroom....not to talk about the balcony anymore....
Overall experience: satisfactory....

Eight sibilings rented your facility, it was a great time. Sat around the large dining room table and played games, and laughed and told jokes and had a little nip of our favorite brew.
Went out daily and saw the countryside, and the falls and the Biltmore mansion.
Cooked in, enjoyed the porch, and game room. Plenty of sleeping room too.
Highly recomended. Defenetly would stay there again. Nancy Timberlake

Cabin was comfortable and roomy enough for the 8 of
us. Downstairs double bed was not as comfortable as
it should have been. For the few minor iconveniences
the on-site staff responded very quickly (upstairs
fireplace would not light and no propane in the
outdoor gas grill). Did not like the proximity of
the cabins to one another....to cramped.
What a wonderful place to enjoy the family and have total relaxa

My wife and newborn son along with her parents had a wonderful 4 night stay at our cabin. The location was excellent with easy access to the main highway and exactly as described (excellent mountain views on its 2 level decks, 2 fireplaces, pool table, jacuzzi and spacious floorplan). We prepared and ate most of our meals at the cabin and did make a day trip to Ashville for some shopping and dinner(which was only a 35 minute drive).
I would recommend Scenic Wolf Resort to all my friends and look forward to my next stay there.
