Recently stayed at the sunset and had a great time. The views are beautiful, although we really hoped for snow. We had a major problem with the fireplace which 2/3 nights we stayed did not work, disappointment. Also, one night the jacuzzi stopped working but was fixed the next day. There were several dead and alive black wasps in the cabin. Overall, had a great time and place was clean. I can see why 4 wheel drive is required. Road to cabin is very steep.
Enjoyable with great view

Our first visit to Wolf. Clean cabin with great view (weather permitting). Most cabins are very close together i.e. no privacy for hot tube use.Nice fireplace and adequate kitchen accessories for cooking in. Nearest restaurants
30 to 45 minute drive. We bought all or food in Mars Hill at a very nice Ingles on our way and enjoyed just staying at Cabin and cooking. Had issue with gas log fireplace, made call and their maintenance man corrected problem within 30 minutes. On site lodge/restaurant not open. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
Loved the sunsets at Sunset Lodge

We decided to go to the mountains at the last minute before returning home from a week in Cary, NC. Found the cabin online and very happy with our choice. The mountain views and watching the sunsets from the rocking chairs on the deck were amazing. Observing a thunderstorm roll in one night was also fascinating. The cabin had everything we needed to feel at home and our stay was very relaxing. The hot tub on the deck was pleasant and having a pool a short walk away was nice. We would definitely go back again.

The location of the cabin was perfect for us. We could jump right off the slope and walk a few steps to the cabin for lunch. That was really convenient with such a wide range of ages and skill levels of the kids. It was awesome!

I don't even know where to begin!! I will start with the cabin... it was great! It was very clean and just as the picture showed it. Sometimes you see a picture and then when you get there it isn't anything like what the picture looks like. Not that case here at all. This cabin is directly across the street to the ski slopes. We went the first week in December and didn't expect any snow. Well...We got it! They said when we made the reservations that you must have a 4x4 to get to the resort in the winter. This is true as my sister didn't have it and slid into the guardrail on our way up to the resort (snow wasnt expected this early). with that being said, we went up to the office in our truck and told them what happened and they were unbelievably helpful and never once made us feel like we had inconvienced them. They immediately had someone back down the mountain to help. When the fireplace wouldn't light, there was someone there within 5 minutes to fix it. I cant express enough how nice everyone at the resort is. We were able to ski while we were there as well (since a snow storm decided to come through) and had a blast. Again, everyone is sooo nice. My family has decided to make this a yearly vacation spot and I can't wait for the next one. You will have a great time here... I could go on and on about our trip but you will have to go and find out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
Great name--sunsets were fabulous!
