We enjoyed our stay in the mountains. The highlight of every day was sitting on the deck having coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening. We never tired of the view. The house had everything we could possibly need.

My family and I stayed in this cabin for several days last summer, and it was absolutely wonderful!!! The place was clean and well-stocked with supplies, the view was breathtaking, and if we hadn't already made plans to go to several tourist attractions nearby, we would have been perfectly satisfied just staying in at this mountain retreat. An unexpected, miraculous occurrence during our stay was that a doe gave birth overnight at the edge of the forest in the driveway to the cabin. We stood at the window, barely breathing, for about an hour while she nudged her offspring into standing and walking away down the drive - like something right out of 'Bambi' !!!

Baxter, TNCozy place!

Very nice to have a kitchen with basic items you need so you don't have to worry about bringing things like oil and seasonings. Has everything you need for cooking full meals. Although with the wide variety of really great restaurants in asheville we ended up wanting to eat out a lot. Comfortable split level with sitting area and bedroom on each level, Allowed for our grandaughter to have her own area to play and watch movies. Unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to a winter storm. As the owners describe, the road up the mountain to the house is quite steep. We realized that once it was snow covered we would not be leaving the next day so sadly we packed up and got down the mountain while we could still do so. The view from the house is really great and I'm sure it is spectacular when snow covered. If you want cozy and secluded - this is it.

The home is nestled high in the mountains making it very quiet and peaceful. The trees had lost their leaves so we were able to get a wonderful view of the town below. At night you could see the lights of the homes below twinkle/during the day you could see the sun rise up over the mountains. Having a living room and a family room allowed some to read books while others watched movies or played video games. The kitchen and bathrooms had plenty of supplies you could use.

Even though we agree with other reviewers that the climb to the cabin is steep-after a few climbs and descents we got used to the steepness-our stay at this cabin with a great view was calming, tranquil and conducive to quiet moments, reading and working on puzzles. We enjoyed our time off at the cabin and were sad to leave it for the crowds and noise of the big city. Be prepared to see a deer or two.

This mountain home was easy to get to and had great views of the ashville area mountains. All normal guest requirements were met with well appointed baths and fully equipped kitchen. The home was neat and clean. The home was about 35 minutes from the Biltmore and central ashville, but all areas were easy to access due to the highway system. Would stay again.

Directions were great and Lynne was responsive to any questions we had. The home is high on a mountain, nicely furnished and had everything we needed. The view is awesome - lots of windows and a large deck. We are friends who live far apart, so we just wanted to visit and the seclusion suited us well. It is miles to the closest grocery store, so we were happy that we'd brought dinner and breakfast for the first day with us. We would stay here again.

View was beautiful. Our trip was scheduled last minute and communication prior to and during the stay with Lynne was great. Payment drop off was a breeze. The house was perfect for our family - kids could watch tv downstairs and parents were able to relax upstairs and enjoy the view off the balcony! We would recommend this to any family as a great place to stay - about a 30-45 min. drive to a number of attractions.

Tucked high up in the mountains, this "cabin" is a great getaway from the city to enjoy the North Carolina mountains. Lynne was extremely helpful in explaining the stay, getting back to me in a timely manner and even had a bottle of wine waiting for our arrival!
The home has wonderful architectural features and is all-natural wood throughout. We were very happy with the modern and clean bathrooms also. All-in-all a great getaway to view the mountains and visit many small towns in the area. A wonderful trip for a couple or family! -

We had a lovely stay at Lynne and Tim's place. The solitude was just what we were looking for. Yet we were close to lots of activities and places when we did want a little action. The place had everything we could think of to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I loved the porch. It put you "in" the trees. You won't regret a stay at the mountain retreat.
