Northern VirginiaI thought the house was confortable.
Left on 04/03/2013 for a stay in March 2013
I thought the house was very accomodating in location, service by the rental company, and amminities in the house. I did think the Hot Tub needed a good cleaning and it was not properly prepared for our visit this week in March 2013.
The windows could be more insulated but we also had unexpected high winds, snow and low temps for late March.
I would go back to this house if available. -

Delray Beach, FloridaPerfectly Situated
Left on 12/28/2012 for a stay in December 2012
We lived in this rental for about a month so we definitely can speak to this living space. It is perfectly situated close to downtown asheville while still giving a feeling of solitude and privacy. Because of a mild December, we took many walks from the house and loved our surroundings. I cooked and baked every day in the well-stocked kitchen. Best of all, it's an open kitchen so you don't feel isolated; fireplace and "keeper room" (place to keep the chef/cook company) within view! Too bad the grill is useless and should be replaced given the overall quality of this house. Media room is fantastic and a real plus. Nice views which I can only imagine in the non-winter months. Home is modestly appointed in terms of the walls, tabletops, etc. which I know is typical of rentals but it was sparse in places. Master bedroom has two huge skylights directly above the bed which was the biggest negative for us (and you if you don't want to wake with the sun). Loved the master bath complete with bathtub. Very light water pressure so just be prepared and use water one at a time. Rental agency Greybeard Realty's Renda was fantastic to work with and we did, since some issues came up[ during our one-month stay. Couldn't use lower level accommodations since it was winter and the fireplace would make it too hot for sleeping and too cold without. Should be okay in times other than winter. House does not have multiple heating zones but we worked around it. Overall, we really loved our time at Cedar View and felt very much at home.

Palm Coast, FLGreat house on a hill
Left on 08/30/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Everything about this place was fabulous--great house, very luxurious with lots of amenities, fabulous views from the hillside, nicely furnished, well-equipped kitchen, pretty close to town (about a 10 minute drive up the hill). Also excellent service in all respects from Greybeard Realty who manage the property. Would definitely rent this house again. Only one complaint--one of the parties thought one of the mattresses was not very good (the queen), otherwise no issues at all.

Newton MAGreat house-beutiful views
Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We had a wonderful week at Cedarview. It is a very comfortable home on the side of a mountain about 10 minutes from downtown. Highlights of house were back porch with 4 rockers ( could use a couple more chairs or rockers) looking out over the mountains, very good kitchen, and ample living space. There were three couples and the master bedroom and other corner bedroom are really great-midddle bedroom with two twin beds is ample but a distant third for the couple who ended up there. The theater room was a great place to watch sports and movies. It is a great retreat after a day of hiking or exploring asheville.
A few comments that could make it better-a new grill-it took us 2 hours to get a fire going in old charcoal grill without bottom ventilation (as a result we ended up eating out every night) and providing soap and paper goods for guests (a real put-off and a small expense). Also be prepared
for a very steep driveway that is an act of faith going down the first time (there is a spot at the top if you'd rather not go down).
With that said we all highly recommend the house and would come back.

Left on 04/23/2012 for a stay in April 2012
I stayed here for a weekend with 7 girlfriends. It was very close to asheville, but felt very secluded. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed, plus much more. The views were stunning, the rooms were large and comfortable, the decks went on and on. The movie room was a pleasant surprise; a perfect way to spend an afternoon after rafting! I would love to stay here again.

49463Best Mountain Experience By Far!
Left on 01/31/2012 for a stay in January 2012
My interaction with this realty company has been a 15 out of 10 star experience from start to finish. Renita, the booking agent, helped me find a house with all the requirements needed to make our yearly trek to asheville stellar from start to finish. The house is gorgeous and excellently maintained. There are breathtaking views, plenty of space, even though there are only 3 bedrooms there are plenty of additional rooms, crooks, and such so no one feels cramped. The hot tub is large and quite steamy, the downstairs game room is more than we expected with a fully equipped theater room and regulation sized pool table. Since we're a big fan of the asheville Beer scene they even sent us a list of local cabs that could and happily did provide service during our stay. All in all, if you want a beautiful house with a caring and attentive realty group I suggest Cedar View. We will definitely return next year!

Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaBeautiful mountain home conveniently located just a few minutes
Left on 09/24/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We booked through Greybeard Realty. This 3 bedroom home had all the amenities we could ask for; beautiful kitchen, hot tub, and even a home theater. It had a secluded feel, but was very convenient to downtown asheville. Asheville is a vegetarian's dream - our daughter was thrilled. If you're an art lover, there are more galleries than we had time for. The house is also very close to the Blue Ridge Pkwy, a beautiful drive that takes you to some great hiking spots.

The Cedar View rental was a perfect vacation getaway - peaceful and quiet - extremely relaxing. It had all of the amenities and conveniences of home, plus outstanding views of the mountains. The proximity to asheville was another plus. Exceptional value for the price.

Left on 06/28/2011 for a stay in May 2011
We stayed at Cedar View in May 2011 and had a great time. There were seven of us on our annual girls' trip, and the house was perfect for our needs. Multiple bedrooms, full bathrooms, large dining room, awesome kitchen, theatre room and usable common areas made it so easy. The house was immaculate, the location was incredibly convenient and the view was perfect. The consensus from our group was that it was a great place to stay while in asheville.

Left on 09/30/2010 for a stay in September 2010
Everything about this house is perfect - the location, the view, the theater room, the pool table, the hot tub - the list could keep going! We especially loved that it's only a short drive (3 miles?) down the mountain to civilization (it took us 5-10 minutes to get to Biltmore from the house) - but yet the house is completely secluded on the side of a mountain. What can be better than that?
I highly recommend this house - you can trust the pictures! -

This was an exceptional house. The movie theater was really surprisingly fun and wonderful for everyone. The house is convenient to asheville. There are glorious views, lovely back deck looking onto a valley, and a great hot tub. The quality of the furniture and decorations in this house are much better than typical and really appreciated.

This house was exactly as described. It was wonderful and very clean. The kids had a lot of fun with the pool table and the theater room. I can't believe we had such wonderful views and were so close to asheville (5-6 minutes) and the Blue Ridge Parkway (3-4 minutes). It was wonderful!

We will be telling everyone we know about our wonderful
