Obama is now the 10th president to stay within 5 minutes of this excellent location. Asheville has been the vacation destination for presidents and industrialist for 150 years. The Vanderbilts, Rockefellers, and many other notables have made their way into this neighborhood.
The home is located directly adjacent to the downtown core of Asheville in the Chesnut Hill neighborhood. It is within easy walking (2 to 6 blocks) distance to Greenlife Grocery ( Whole Foods ), YMCA, and all the shops, restaurants, galleries, parks and plazas. The Corner Cottage is located convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway with easy access to Interstates 40 and 26. Less than 1 1/2 miles to the The Grove Park Inn and The Biltmore Estate. You are mere minutes to one of the finest dinning experiences in America.

ADVANCE FEES:
50% of lease balance is due at time of booking with the rental balance and security deposit due (6) weeks prior to arrival. Dates are blocked on calendar once first 50% balance is received, and all payments are non-refundable. Rates are for 1 to 4 guests. Maximum occupancy is 4 .
Security Deposit : $250. weekly / $ 500. monthly, in advance. Stays greater than a month/corporate rentals may have different rates/deposit requirements .Other Fees: Weekly ( 75.00) and Monthly ($150.00) rentals will be charged a cleaning fee . Pets are negotiable. Pet Fee ( $50 minimum) will depend on type, size, number,duration of stay, etc. Fees may change with longer stays, and may be higher in "leaf season". Airport Transportation can be provided by outside service. Local taxi service is available.

This is a perfect cozy retreat to rest and rejuvenate - but within easy access to downtown asheville with restaurants, bookstores and fun people watching. Cottage seemed designed to encourage one to feel comfortable, safe and completely at home. Lovely gardens and two porches for enjoying the pleasant weather. Well appointed and equipped kitchen.

My friend and I had a great stay here. It is setup and decorated very nicely, has everything you could think of needing and a wonderful front porch swing! Ken and Roger were friendly and accommodating. I would most definitely stay again!

I had a wonderful 4-week vacation at the Corner Cottage in august, 2011. This charming cottage is made even more attractive by its extensive and comfortable outdoor living space. I was impressed with the meticulous attention to detail throughout the home. The location is ideal for easy access to shopping and restaurants -- yes, I could 'walk to all' -- as well as to the parkways for day excursions. I would not hesitate to stay at the Corner Cottage again!

We loved our stay at the Corner Cottage. We were greeted with a hand-written note and bottle of wine when we arrived. The easy to find house is in a friendly neighborhood and has a beautiful private yard and great front porch that our dogs enjoyed thoroughly. Downtown asheville is very close with lots to do. Ken was very helpful and prompt in returning our emailed questions. An extensive list of things to do was available in the back room and we made use of quite a few of the options. We hope to get back very soon! Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time visiting NC for the first time and the Corner Cottage provided a little slice of paradise close to the core of asheville. It is everything that the description says and more - it was clean, quiet, comfortable, quaint, and private! Ken and Roger obviously take great pride in their cottage and the attention to detail shows in in the design and decor and providing all the comforts of being at home.
There was nothing like coming back to our home away from home after a long day of cycling in the mountains and relaxing on the front porch or lanai in the private back living area. Perfect to take in the sights and sounds of the neighbourhood and the mountains in the background.
There are a lot of amazing local restaurants and shops nearby and the hiking and cycling is incredible. We only had a week there and can't wait to come back to explore and enjoy the things we didn't have time for...and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else but the Corner Cottage!
