      Beautiful cabin with stunning views

Left on 01/29/2013 for a stay in November 2012

We spent a wonderful few days at Rainbow Ridge with our best friends. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and our dog loved the backyard. We are planning on returning in the spring.

We had a girls getaway and enjoyed the scenery the woods and loved the cabin we stayed in! We were able to enjoy a day of activities and relax in the cabin. I describe it as a much needed VaCa for women! Ashville had many activities to offer and we would love to take this trip once a month! Reality says maybe every 6th months! Than you for the stay at Rainbow Ridge.

      Great location, nice place!

Left on 06/21/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Me, my wife, and our two pugs stayed here the week of May 13-19. The location was absolutely ideal for what we had planned that week, it is a few minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. My dogs loved the cabin, the fenced in backyard was great and very sturdy. Hot Tub was a nice touch but we didn't use it but once, we were too busy with other things. Grove Park Inn Spa is a must, my wife dragged me there and I loved it, definitely going to come back to asheville again, it was our first time and definitely not our last. Thanks Carolina Mornings, it was a great place to stay. Shifra (one of your staff members) was kind and helpful with any questions. Our fireplace was not work and they had it up and working in under 2 hours, simply amazing. I'd recommend this place to couples, only 2 couples max as it is tiny, but not cramped.

      A Very Memorable Memorial Day

Left on 06/20/2012 for a stay in May 2012

This cabin was very close to town and centrally located. However, as soon as you ascended the mountain, it was very private and secluded. We really liked that the next cabin over was literally below us on the mountain. The view inside and out was breathtaking. The front porch has a locking gate and wooden railing that made us feel very safe to relax and enjoy the sunset with our toddler playing beside us. Also, the cabin was very clean and well stocked with extra lines, towels, and kitchen supplies. Not only would I recommend this cabin to anyone reading this, but I also plan to rent from Carolina Mornings on any subsequent trips to asheville.

The kids in their room. Relaxing and enjoying the view.

      Pet-Friendly Peaceful Retreat!

Left on 05/09/2012 for a stay in April 2012

We were thrilled with how truly pet-friendly the cabin was, down to a fenced in area, dog bed, toys, and bowls. The gate on the front porch was an extra-special touch too and let us have our toddler and dog out on the porch with no worries. The cabin was nestled in the woods, yet close to all the conveniences. The only items I would improve is a larger couch, new rug, and extra tissue for stays longer than a couple days.

Small but cozy cabin. We had 4 people in our party and we were comfortable. If you have more than 4 people I would not recommend this cabin. Located in a great location. We would stay here again if we are in the area. Thanks Carolina Mornings for a great stay!

Overall the trip was wonderful! We did have a few problems. The hot tub did not work and we tried multiple of times to sign up for the ghost hunt with no response. It was discouraging being unable to hear back from the Ghost hunters. Besides those few things we were very happy.

Not bad, but not very comfortable.

Left on 01/19/2012 for a stay in April 2011

Location and price were ideal. Kitchen, bathrooms, cleanliness, front porch, all good.

      Our troubles were three:

      1) The wood floors and walls reverberated every little sound, which kept everyone awake. A whisper on the second floor was clearly audible on the first.
      2) The beds were uncomfortable.
      3) The living room area had seating for three people, two comfortably. The small sofa didn't recline or have ottomans.

All in all we had a really hard time getting comfortable in the place. We were in asheville to see the sites and weren't in the cabin much, but we were still glad to get home to our beds and comfortable living rooms. The cabin would be ideal for heavy sleepers, short stays, and parties of 3 or fewer people.

With a few minor modifications I think the place would be awesome. Some sound dampening panels for the walls and ceilings, maybe a few rugs for the floor for the same purpose. Swap out the couch with a reclining model, add some ottomans, or an additional sofa. And some pillow tops for the beds. At that point it would be cozy and great.

Left on 11/01/2011 for a stay in October 2011

Cabin location was perfect for our day trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway and nearby sights. We had never stayed at a rented cabin before, so took extra bedding, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. It wasn't needed. Everything was in the cabin upon or arrival so that we had plenty of the basics for our stay. The gas fireplace was fabulous - got up early every morning, flipped a switch, and sat with coffee in hand watching the flickering firelight. Also, the hot tub on the back porch was a something we looked forward to at the end of every day after exhausting ourselves walking up and down the mountains all day.

Excellent Turn-Key Rental w/ Great Location

Left on 09/20/2011 for a stay in September 2011

We just got back from a 3 night/4 day trip to asheville, and had a great time. The Rainbow Ridge cabin was exactly what we were looking for and met all our expectations.

Location: Can't be beat. This place is just a few minutes from an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 15 minutes to downtown asheville, and the Biltmore. Yes, the driveway is steep. But we thought totally manageable, unless it's winter.

Views: Great views from the porch. Looking west you have a gorgeous view of the sun setting against the mountains. You do see the top of the cabin below you, which we thought was no big deal. Looking forward from the porch, you see a combination of trees and condo/apartments a ways away. Again, no big deal.

Privacy/Seclusion: The cabin is on a hill, and you have quite a bit of privacy here. You do not see any neighbors, just the roof of the cabin below you. We thought it was perfect for us. The hot tub is also very private.

Cleanliness: The cabin was super-clean when we got there. Thank you!!

Supplies: We loved that this place came fully-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, from plates to utensils to a toaster, coffee maker, etc.

Amenities: If you want to rough it, this is not your place :p The cabin features nice comfy beds (2 full-size), a love-seat, a leather chair & ottoman, TV, A/C & heat, Microwave, Stove, Refrigerator, gas fireplace, TVs in all bedrooms and the living room. I liked that there were ceiling fans in the bedrooms and the living room as well. Lots of circulating air!

Noise: We had no noise from neighbors, and only heard light traffic from the road below when outside. Remember, this is not in the middle of the woods - you are 15 minutes from downtown asheville. For us, it was out far enough out yet still close enough. Perfect!

Overall: We could not be happier with our experience. Carolina Mornings made it simple to rent, the cabin is clean, well-equipped and incredibly convenient. Two thumbs up!

      Worst vacation ever

Left on 02/17/2011 for a stay in December 2010

We arrived to the cabin to find out that the hot tub was 50 degrees. The whole time we were there it never heated up. we called the maintenence guy and he seemed to think it was ok and didn't come by to check on it. I Then proceeded to tell management about the ordeal and see if they could give us a discount next time we stay here and they said they will work with us and never said another word. The only reason we chose this one was for the hot tub. If we knew that it would not work, then we would have went somewhere a little more cost effective.

We're all big city people, so we wanted to do something different and stay in a cabin. It was the most pleasant experience! It had the feel of being in the woods without being too "far in" the woods. For us, it was a perfect mix of both worlds. Cannot say enough about the cabin... super charming, comfy, clean and warm. This is a nice cozy cabin. Loved the fireplace and hot tub. The only downfall is the long steep driveway. It snowed when we were there and had to use the four wheel drive to get down it. We actually decided to leave a day early because we didn't won't to risk the drive down the driveway in deeper snow. Other than that the cabin was clean and had all the amenties of home.

The cabin was in a great location. It appeared that hadn't been thoroughly cleaned, i.e., very dusty and the shower curtain liners had mole on them. It wasn't anything we couldn't live with. Also, one of the outside flood lights was out. The slanted ceilings proved challenging!! Also, there wasn't a lot of space for luggage downstairs.

We are so sorry to hear that the cleaning was not up to par! October is a very busy month and Rainbow Ridge had many guests; we are unsure how we would miss the dust and mold on the shower curtain, and are sorry to hear that we did. Great Cabin, Scenic View very fun!!

Left on 11/12/2010 for a stay in August 2010

Rainbow ridge was a great cabin to stay at. We went with another couple for 4 days and had a great time. The pictures were very accurate and helped give us a good idea of what to expect. Beds were comfortable and each had their own bathroom which was nice. The hot tub was a nice feature as well. Fitting four people in was a little tough so we usually did two or three. The road to the cabin was a little steep so beware winter travelers it may get a little slick with ice. About 15 minutes to downtown but was still close to many restaurants and grocery stores. Great kitchen, laundry and very clean. Nice to have an Ipod hook up for music too. I high recommend it!

      Honeymoon

Left on 11/05/2010 for a stay in October 2010

This trip was our honeymoon and first trip to asheville. I must say we loved it. We choose asheville because we live at the beach and didn't see much sense in spending a lot of money going to another beach somewhere. Not to mention asheville is very pet friendly and we could bring our dog with us. My first impression of the cabin is "wow what a steep driveway"! I live at see level so we don't have anything like that around here. After a day or so we had that driveway figured out so no big deal. The cabin was very nice and clean. It was perfect for my wife and I plus the dog. I could see it being a little bit crowded if there was another couple there. There were some spiders in the cabin but it is in the woods so par for the course. The fireplace did the job well. The cabin was great. We really felt at home in asheville. I really liked how pro asheville\North Carolina they are there. It seems like they really care about their community. Places that stood out were The Biltmore, make sure you bring good walking shoes. The Blue Ridge Parkway was great, bring a jacket if you go to Mt. Mitchell which you should do. Earth Fare is my favorite grocery store ever. Best Resturant was the Early Girl Eatery. Tupelo Honey Cafe South wasn't bad either. Favorite bar was Barley's Taproom. Can't wait to go back to find new favorites. Thank you Carolina Mornings for the help and the Biltmore tickets.

The cabin was as advertised in terms of set-up, space, and location. Check-in was easy, the cabin was well-appointed. The only real downside, which could not be predicted from the computer booking info, was excessive road noise when you used the porch or other outdoor spaces.

It is a bit hard to make fully informed decisions online- you are absolutely right! We are here to answer any questions that may arise when you are taking a trip to western North Carolina. We do hope you enjoyed your stay at Rainbow Ridge- the up side to being so close to a roadway is that you are very close to town! This is appealing for those wanting to explore what Asheville has to offer. For those needing more seclusion, please contact us and we can point you in the right direction.

      Very nice cabin but...

Left on 08/03/2010 for a stay in July 2010

We booked this cabin online and the inside of the cabin is actually very nice. But the location isn't quite what we expected. It is not a "cabin in the mountains" but rather a cabin on a hill in the suburbs. There are three properties up the drive and though the immediate yard is rather secluded, you can see the top of the other cabin. You can hear cars driving up & people talking. If your neighbors like to party it could get very loud. I would have given the location only one star except for the fact that it is centrally located to many of the site we wanted to see. The picture shows a view of the mountains in the distance and the roof of the cabin next door. What it doesn't show, is the other 90% of the view is apartments and Condos on the hill facing you. You don't get that feeling of getting away from it all. There is a major road just at the bottom of the drive and though you can't hear it from inside the cabin, you can clearly hear it from the hot tub and yard. I guess the nice thing was that the shopping was very close. On the plus side, the kitchen is nicely stock with bare essentials. The dining table could be bigger but they are up front about that. There is a BBQ outside that we took full advantage of. The two bedrooms each have a private bath, nice when traveling with friends. But there could be a little more sound proofing between rooms as they are one on top of the other. I have stayed at a lot of cabins before and have always left behind non-perishables that I didn't use. Salt, Pepper, Sugar, Tea, Coffee, some condiments, etc. And I appreciate it when others do the same. But this place posted a sign to throw everything out. Maybe it's a health code thing, or maybe they have trouble with ants, but it seemed like a waste. Bottom line, if you're just using the cabin to for sleep after a long day out and about, then it's a great place to stay.

Great little cabin in the perfect location

Left on 05/14/2010 for a stay in January 2010

We found the cabin to have everything needed for a comfortable and homey stay and we loved the location which was so convenient to downtown Asheville. Moreover, while there were dozens of restaurants and stores with a mile or two of the cabin - it still had a private woodsy feel to it -the best of both worlds.

      Good but mechanical issues!!!

Left on 05/14/2010 for a stay in April 2010

We really enjoyed the house but had major issues the day we checked in. The air conditioner was broken and the house was 85 degrees. No one showed up to fix it til 2 days later. No compensation from the rental company was either offered or given. Basically we had to just deal with it that day. We were there with our 2 young children and that 1st day and night was pretty uncomfortable. We travel to Asheville every year and would of liked some kind of compensation for the issue. Hopefully this will be reviewed. Thanks!!

We do apologize for the inconvenience; we did have an unseasonably warm few days this spring! We try our best to respond to any issue in a timely manner, and we try our hardest to keep you informed about the timing of any repair. Sometimes getting a repair completed takes longer than we like, and sometimes it is very hard for us to reach our guests to keep them informed of repair schedules. As stated in our rental agreement which you receive before arriving, we cannot offer refunds for maintenance and repair issues. The owner has graciously offered one night FREE for your family at Rainbow Ridge for a future visit. Please contact us to arrange this stay!

Left on 05/03/2010 for a stay in March 2010

Our trip was all about the Biltmore House and adventures in Asheville. This
location was so close to the city and the Biltmore, but when you were at the
cabin, it felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing
lacking in the provisions. We had everything you could need and more. The
staff at Carolina Mornings were so accommodating. We had scheduled our trip
the same weekend Asheville had 12" of snow. They were very patient with me
and helpful as I was deciding whether or not to venture to Asheville. Because I
bought travel insurance, and with their help, I was able to submit a claim to
the insurance company and received a full refund. I would recommend
Carolina Mornings, this cabin and any CM Property to anyone going to
      Asheville.

A very comfortable cabin with two bed rooms and two bath rooms and a hot tub! Not a 5 star "hotel room" but as far as a "cabin" it sure is clean and cozy! Full kitchen and three TV's. Perfect for two to four people who want a relaxing vacation. A few miles from down town Asheville and plenty of great restaurants. The rental company, Carolina Mornings was easy to deal with and helpful!

Left on 11/04/2009 for a stay in August 2009

This was our first time in Asheville and the staff directed us to this location. It
was a close drive to everything, but secluded enough that we felt we had
gotten away from it all. This cabin was almost perfect for a family of 4; if one
of the bedrooms could have had 2 twin beds, it would have been ideal since
my kids did not want to share a bed. The house had all of the amenities we
needed (a/c, washer/dryer, hot tub, TV, internet) and enough space for us to
hang out together in the living room, or be able to have some time alone on
one of the 2 porches, the loft area, or one of the bedrooms. We ended up
enjoying Asheville and the cabin so much we extended our stay another day,
and would have stayed longer if it had been available.

We loved Bella Way 28!! It was close to town but situated in the woodlands so that in addition to convenience you had privacy and a great view of the mountains. The cabin design fit our needs perfectly; it was attractively decorated; and it was very clean and felt brand new!! We would definitely stay there again!

The only negatives were a few really large ants in the kitchen and the dishwasher door wouldn't close completely so we couldn't use it - but these weren't really problems for us. (Reported to house cleaner upon leaving.)

A 5 minute drive and you were on a main road with various restaraunts and stores. Downtown Asheville was only a 10 min. drive. The view from the front porch was amazing.

We had a great experience at Bella Way 28. The people at Carolina Mornings were extremely helpful and friendly. There was a mistake with the booking and they apologized and gave us a gift certificate for dinner in town which was excellent. We very much enjoyed the cabin. It appeared very clean and new. We especially liked that it was much more modern inside compared with many of the other cabins we looked at. The view from the porch was beautiful. The only downside was that the hot tub did not work well. We would definitely stay here again!

      nice experience

Left on 08/14/2009 for a stay in July 2009

The cabin was very clean and in a quiet location, but still convenient to shopping (huge grocery store, Blockbuster, gas stations) within a couple of miles. Definitely try and arrive before dark; the road sign up to the cabin is hard to see otherwise. It's only about 10-15 minutes away from Biltmore Estates.

We stayed in the summer, got that after dark, so there were lots of night-time insect critters hovering around the porch lights that would otherwise have been there if we'd arrived before it got dark. Remember, it's a cabin in a wood-like setting; that's just the way it is. We just didn't turn on all the porch lights and that helped alot. There weren't any big critters (racoons or possums) around.

The internet service isn't wireless, and the connection speed was very slow. If you plan to use it, especially if you have kids/teens who go online to play games, forget it. There may have been a problem with it, though.

The hot tub was great, but there wasn't anything in the cabin's binder like a simple 'how-to-use'. That would be helpful.

Overall, it was a great experience; I'd do it again, but my 16 year old son was bummed about the internet. It was quiet and restful, especially after long days of touring the area. Carolina Mornings folks were awesome! Super friendly.

The cabin was well equipped to make our visit comfortable. The cabin is small
but can accommodate four with no issues. The location was convenient to
Asheville's tourist attractions and restaurants. The surrounding area around

could hear the traffic on the highway from the porch but not inside the cabin.

The cabin was very clean and beautiful. We really enjoyed it. The hot tub was a disappointment, as it was one of the reasons we chose a cabin with a hot tub. It seemed like it hadn't been clean for quite some time. There was minimal chemicals to add even tho it said "add after each use"there was only enough for one use.
The view was stunning and it was relaxing-other than the hot tub.

We spent most of our days sightseeing around Asheville and really enjoyed the area but it was nice to come "home" at night instead of to just hotel rooms. The homey atmosphere of the cabin gave us a chance to relax and plan our next adventures. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone. The value for the money was excellent.

I would recommend bringing a few extra garbage bags and rolls of toilet paper tho. We only had one garbage bag and one recycling bag for the entire week.

      Beautiful cabin

Left on 10/04/2008 for a stay in September 2008

Cabin is beautiful, furnished nicely and has everything you need for a great stay. Everything was clean and fresh when we arrived. The kitchen has everything you need and want. Internet worked great. This is a very relaxing place to stay. It is very easy to get into Asheville and to the Biltmore from here.

However, there were a few minor things that we encountered. The front door dead bolt didn't align properly so it made the door difficult to lock. The motion sensor on the outside spot lights didn't work which would have been helpful coming in at night. Be aware that the road up the hill to the cabin is narrow, makes sharp turns and is very dark at night. Thankfully we were in a small car and didn't meet another car going in the other direction.
