Kelly was very accommodating and made wonderful recommendations. When you drive in don't let the distance fool you. The house is actually conveniently located to downtown. We took the back route and stopped by the coffee shop. It is an easy 10 to 15 minute walk to downtown. The house is well maintained and very inviting. We made great use of the porch, just sitting and watching the neighborhood and enjoying the evening. I recommend the Enchanted House if you are looking for a convenient place to stay when you visit asheville.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this cottage in asheville. It was clean, well organized, modern and could not be in a better a great location. We walked and biked downtown - either way it was fun and quick. There was a back porch and a front porch - both were fun to sit on and talk or enjoy a cup of coffee. The location can't be beat -
The beds were clean and comfortable - the bathroom was also clean - we really felt like we were at home. We will be back!

I have stayed in the Enchanted Cottage a couple of times this past year and highly recommend it. It has become our "home away from home for our quick getaways to the mountains from Charlotte. Before our initial visit, Kelly was very responsive to our questions and her friendly helpfulness sold us on our choice. Kelly provides a charming, cozy residence that meets all of our "escape vacation needs. The basics-the house is very clean, the towels are thick, the beds comfortable. It has comfortable furniture, dark curtains to keep the sun out in the early morning and enough windows to bring in great light during the day. The plusses-the front porch with two rocking chairs is peaceful and social, as walkers-by usually say "hello. The tree-shaded, elevated deck on the back of the house, overlooking the large backyard,has an very private feeling despite the surrounding neighborhood. And as it is directly off of the kitchen, it is easily accessible for outside meals. The location of the house can't be beat - it is easy to find, basically one turn once you get off of the highway. And most importantly, it is within very easy walking distance to downtown, definitely a plus as parking is difficult to find downtown. Kelly suggested downtown restaurants, galleries and directed us to some of the larger antique "barns nearby. The Green Life grocery store two blocks away is very handy for when we needed a snack or decided to stay in and cook at the house. The house doesn't seem like it would be a good match for multiple small children and the stairwell to the bathroom may be hard for people with mobility issues. But for most people, we would highly recommend this house!
