We stayed in this beautiful home and really enjoyed ourselves! There were two married couples with plenty of privacy and an at home feel. This cabin was clean and had many attributes. The problem is that after 10 days of checking out I still have not received my $250 deposit that was required by the owner for damages/reservations. We left the property in the same manner we found it. As both families are members of Law Enforcement I truly believe that the customer should not have to go looking for their return of the deposit. In this day and time of a poor economy $250 is a lot of money and should be refunded as soon as the owner confirms the property was left in good shape!

Owner
The customer is correct. I was slow in returning the deposit. However, in nine years of renting the house I have never not returned the deposit. You'll also notice that, other than this review, on this and the other three websites where I list the house there are no bad reviews. I'm fortunate that a large percentage of my renters are repeat customers.

We just spent 10 wonderful days at Chestnut Forest. Beautiful mountain views from the large deck, hot tub and great room with absolute seclusion yet 20 minutes and an easy drive from everything asheville. Comfortable house with charm and owner's attention to every detail make a stay here an effortless escape to a serene mountain getaway. We loved it...
