The Cornerstone Cabin at Mt Rainier National Park

Optimally located just outside Mt Rainier National Park in Ashford Washington, this beautifully remodeled cabin is semi secluded in timber and sits just above and overlooking Highway 706 East, the main road into the park. This property is backed up to 500 plus acres of National Forest for plenty of privacy. The nearest cabins are across the street back in trees and are not visible from the cabin unless at night when you can see their lights thru the trees. With a hot tub under the trees, beautiful cedar slab railed deck, marsh-mellow roasting pit, picnic table, horseshoe pits, custom cedar slab dart board and walking trails up into the forest... there are plenty of ways to get your rest and relaxation! The cabin has 3 private sleeping areas plus the living room: light and airy master bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed and view of the trees, up the stairs is the Bear Cub room with a queen bed and a single bed sharing the space, a loft that is accessed by an over-sized ladder with a single bed, and the living room has an upgraded futon with memory foam mattress for extra comfort. All beds are extra comfortable mattresses with either extra thick mattress covers on the futon and queen beds or memory foam mattress covers on the twin beds, 600+ thread count sheets, soft blankets, quilts & comforters, and all beds have electric blankets during the colder seasons. We get rave reviews about our beds! The beautifully tiled bath has a jacuzzi tub with shower. There is a small but full size kitchen with glass top range, full size fridge, microwave, waffle maker, toaster, coffee maker, grinder, pots & pans, bake ware, griddle, wine glasses, plates, cups, glasses, and service for eight. We try to keep an assortment of spices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot cider, popcorn, waffle mix, syrup, butter, some condiments all available for your use. Firewood is provided for the fireplace but not the marsh-mellow roasting pit. For outside cooking there is a smoker BBQ that uses either wood or charcoal, plus a gas BBQ that has propane provided. Inside you will find an assortment of books and board games, 2 TV/DVD/VCR's with an extensive movie library, CD/Radio with an assortment of CD's. This cabin is set up as a get-a-way so no WIFI or phone and no cell phone reception! But if you must have these you will find WIFI available in Ashford - 5 miles west of the cabin, along with payphones. Some cell carriers have reception in Ashford, but TMobile does not. You will need to drive about 15 minutes to Elbe before you will have reception.
