What a find!
Holy cow, what a great place! I can't even begin to tell you how absolutely perfect this cabin is!
My wife and I recently spent five days here for part of our honeymoon, as she'd never been to Crater Lake, a short one hour drive away. Well, you could have knocked us over with a feather when we set foot inside. Everything was just... amazing. The view, the property, the cabin, the peace, and especially the owners who were incredible.
This place makes you feel like you can just let go and relax. By the end of the five days my wife and I were truly saddened to be leaving. We ultimately stayed an additional night, as we didn't wan the magic to end.
I simply cannot overstate how fantastic this cabin is. We've already told the owners that we'll be back; only next time we're bringing another couple to share in the experience.
Thank you singing birds cabin for helping to make our honeymoon truly unforgettable!!

Being in the Cascade Mountains during July and august was great.
My husband and I wanted to get out of Texas for some of the hot summer months. Singing Birds Cabin was a great spot for us. The temperatures were perfect for us. I would love to stay in the winter also, but the skies were blue, the days warm and the nights were cool. We even had a fire on two nights.
Anita and Bob were very attentive to our needs. They are also gracious hosts. Anita invited me to hike with her group of friends at Howard Prairie Lake and on Mount ashland. Anita and Bob also invited us to their home to meet their friends.
We liked the idea of living "off the grid".
Some of our friends were amazed that we could be without TV for such a long time.
Anita did help us by letting us use her modem for internet. The computer and other appliances had plenty of power from the solar system.
It was great fun to stay at Singing Birds Cabin. Thanks anita and Bob.

Don't tell anyone about this cabin!
I'm hesitant to write a review because I know it won't be long before there is a long waiting list to stay at this wonderful cabin...however, I do feel I owe it to Bob and anita for being such gracious hosts.
My partner and I were looking for a place to vacation with our two large dogs, and we were searching the internet for a pet-friendly cabin that was far enough away from other homes, roads, white water...anything that might prevent us from allowing them to run free. "Singing Birds Cabin" couldn't have been more perfect or beautiful. Not another structure in sight, the dogs were able to spend hours roaming the meadows and woodland on the property, the log cabin was adorable, and it was only a few minutes drive to several breathtaking lakes, creeks, and hiking trails! We picked two gallon pails of wild huckleberries and made some delicious pies, and we played many rounds of pickleball on their "natural-setting" court (surrounded 360 degrees by views of the forest and meadows). We were also lucky enough to have a couple of our dearest friends join us for a few days - we couldn't have had a better time swimming all day, throwing horseshoes, sipping wine under the trees, dining on the porch and gazing at the stars. The entire experience far, far exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to return! Thank you Bob and anita for the delicious banana bread and wine and other yummy welcome snacks. We can't wait to see the ranch in the winter!

Thanks for taking time to respond, Jaime and SAlly, and for the many kind words. We are so pleased you had such a wonderful time. And we give you a prize for really taking advantage of all the wonderful "amenities" up here on the mountain... ie, lakes, meadows, forests, hiking trails, etc. We look forward to your return.

Tranquility
My wife, two daughters (12 and 9), and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Singing Birds Cabin. We were looking for peace and seclusion and we found it here. Located on an 160-acre property, the cabin sits alone surrounded by beautiful grounds. There were plenty of options to keep our kids busy. There is a "pickle ball” court, which is a fun cross between playing tennis and wiffle ball. There is also a basketball hoop perfect for a game of H-O-R-S-E, tree swings, and a horseshoe pit. Or with that much land, you can just tell them to run free and enjoy while you watch peacefully from the comfortable front porch.
We had no problems with sleeping arrangements for the four of us. One daughter slept on the futon in the TV sitting area and the other slept on a pull-out couch in the fireplace sitting area. My wife and I slept up in the loft. The cabin is completely off the grid and solar-powered, and we had no issues with electricity, hot water, or any other similar concerns. However, we made sure we were practicing energy conservation to keep it that way.
I cannot say enough about the hospitality of the hosts. Prior to our stay, we received multiple email communications with very helpful directions, suggestions of things to do, and other pieces of wisdom to help us enjoy our stay. I mentioned in passing in one email that we were interested in hiking trails only to find an elaborate hand-written map with directions to local hiking trails awaiting us upon arrival. Also upon arrival was a wonderful welcome basket with wine, fresh fruit, banana bread, and other tasty snacks. My wife was thrilled to find the banana bread as it is an old favorite of hers. These are the kind of special touches that go far with us and we are already planning on when we can come out again. Thank you Bob and anita!

Great time at Singing Bird Cabin
My wife and I had a great time at the Singing Birds Cabin. We walked in the snow, sat by the fire and read books for two days. It was so refreshing. The area is beautiful, the extremely private and the little extras like wine, fruit and fresh muffins made it a very special weekend. We'll be back!
