We've stayed in many cottages but this one exceeds all expectations! Attention to detail is amazing, friendly welcoming owners. If you're looking for a place to stay that will enhance your visit to the Peak District try and book here, you will not be disappointed.
I cannot recommend this enough.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome at acorn cottage by the owners. The log burner was on, mince pies were in the oven. The cottage itself was beautiful. It was very clean and there was good information as regards to the local area. It was only 15mins drive into the centre of Matlock so was well placed in the peak district. Children were able to help on the farm which they enjoyed. We are already booked to go back again!

We had a really good time in acorn Cottage, the cottage was perfect, we could have stayed there forever. The owners were very friendly and helpful but were not hanging around all the time. There was information in the cottage about things to do in the area which was really helpful. The cottage was set in a lovely place, with nice walks straight outside the door. We couldnt have asked for a nicer place to spend our holiday, I would definately go back again in the future and would advise anyone who wants a lovely comfortable cottage with lots of things to do in the area to choose acorn cottage.

I spent a few days with my children and dog at acorn Cottage in the summer. The owners were very welcoming on arrival and we loved all the personal touches - flowers, wine, fresh eggs and honey. The cottage itself was perfect. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and beautifully appointed. We particularly liked having our own little enclosed garden for the dog who was also spoilt with her own bed and dog treats on arrival.
I would highly recommend the cottage.
