To the front of the property is a lawned area and a... slightly raised sitting area with table and chairs.

Just seven miles from the Wetlands Waterfowl Reserve â with thirty-two acres of fishing lakes and woodland along with an exotic birds sanctuary â the village has a pub and is only a short drive away from Sherwood Forest. This historic woodland is host to a Robin Hood visitor's centre providing wonderful woodland walks that include the renowned Major Oak tree. Clumber Park, belonging to the National Trust, is also close by and has over 3,000 acres of land for walking or cycling through as well as well-manicured gardens and a lake with over 200 different species of bird. The Roman city of Lincoln is only 17 miles away and boasts both an incredible cathedral and a castle whilst historic Newark offers a fine Georgian market square and a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants.
All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
first rate accommodation tastefully converted very well situated excellent in every way wonderful environment farm pets were also very friendly(large ginger cat brought wild mice to us as a present) hosts could not do enough for us we enjoyed our stay immensely

Very enjoyable 3 day short break, would have made it longer if it was possible.
The owners made us feel very welcome, and gaves us lots of information on places to visit.
Accomodation was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped.
We had a peaceful and relaxing break, we also purchased fresh produce from the owners.

I have been all over England staying at self catering cottages and this was one of the best, the owner eas very freindly and helpful. We had a welcoming cup of tea and home made cakes. Plenty of places to go Lincoln is only a short drive and york is only 45mins by train from Retford

We had a very ejnoyable week, the owners were very friendly and kind. The surrounding countryside was lovely and there are many places to visit in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
The cottage was excellent, comfortable and clean. Overall a very relaxing week, would definitely return.
