We've stayed at several Frias properties including the Chateau Dumont. #13 has been been beautifully renovated. However, with two bedrooms there needs to be LR seating for four people. Could you add another chair to the conversation area to round out the ensemble? Also an area rug in the LR would add a cozy touch. Thanks, Lynn

This vacation to aspen ranked as one of our top vacations. The staff at Frias were most helpful. This being our first trip to Colorado, we had no idea as to what to expect. "Lisa" gave us some very helpful suggestions as to ski rentals, cars etc. She went the extra mile. The accommodations
were outstanding!! We were also able to walk to most areas. The staff inside the office also helped us with parking questions, location of a church etc by marking the map for us.
We are ready to come back next year !!! -

Location is great and one that I often use, although this was my first time in this particular unit. Very tidy, however a few maintenance items need attention. The entry coat closet doors are mirror folding doors...which easily pop off the tracks. I would replace those. There is little food storage room (pantry), which was fine because we ate in very little. If you plan a lot of eating-in, be aware of storage limits. The hot water was exhausted too quickly, in my opinion from a single shower and one tub, partially drawn. Maintenance responded promptly, and by the time they arrived, hot water was again available. So, recovery is quick...if you are not trying to get several out for dinner. The two bedrooms are both queen-sized beds...fine for couples, but a bit weird if two guys per room. The sofa is not an alternative bed.

I can't give any higher praise to Frias for the wonderful accommodations and hospitality they provide. Two big thumbs up.
One issue we had with Chaumont #13 was that there were limited cooking supplies. Our family loves to cook together and that is an activity that brings us together every Independence Day.
Other than that, the unit was spectacular and just recently renovated.
