The Alm Haus is a unique private cabin located in downtown Aspen's West End. It's charming and perfect for a small family or a group of 6 or fewer. It's locacted a couple of blocks walk from downtown Aspen, and it is about a six block walk to the Silver Queen Gondola. Alpine skiing, fine dining, exuberant nightlife, couture shopping and entertainment of every kind are right outside of your door when you stay at the Alm Haus. The cabin is adorable and you can't beat the central setting. We walked everywhere! Cabin is well equipped and perfect for a small family or small group of friends. It has 1 queen bed, 4 twin beds and 2 full baths. The kitchen is fully equipped. The deck and hot tub are great. We loved the mountain cabin decor. I would totally live there if I could! My husband and I actually stayed there the week of our wedding and it was such a perfect fit for us and our 2 dogs since it has a small yard. Watch out - the bears love that backyard also. It is a little pricey, but it's aspen and for us it was a special occasion. I'm so glad we stayed there. We cannot wait to come back and stay in the alm Haus again. And McCartney Property was excellent to work with. Can't say enough good things about the entire experience.

Alm House - a great family rental

This was our 3rd stay at the alm Haus which has become a home away from home in aspen. We like its cozy, cabin feel and living areas which are great for family and friends to gather. A couple of a critics: The house is very poorly lighted. Its hard to work in kitchen or find a decent place to read. The kitchen is not well equipped. We bought a can opener and vegetable peeler this last visit which we left. A few good knives would be helpful, large mixing bowl and stock pot. The rollers on the dish washer are broken which makes it difficult to slide in and out. And of course the house is very poorly insulated with single pane windows. Some improvements in this area would save a lot of money in heating for the owners.
