Villa Alta Vista is a gorgeous mountaintop property with fabulous views and privacy and all day sun. My wife and I live in this 8 year new Santa Fe style contemporary gem. We filled it with beautiful contemporary furnishings, paintings and sculpture. We love every minute we are fortunate to spend here. We will be traveling this winter and are making it available to rent by the week. Our guests can stay in a beautiful fully appointed and c...omfortable home a short drive to Aspen and Snowmass, for far less in cost than a small old house or condo in Aspen. This property, at the top of Aspen Ridge/Brush Creek, a short drive from Aspen and near the entrance to Snowmass, is on a picturesque, quiet and private 3 acre site, enjoying stunning mountain top views from all rooms, including views across the valley, to Aspen and to Independence Pass beyond. In contrast to Aspen homes, the property has all day sun, and all our rooms are above ground.
The 3 bedroom, 3700 sq.ft. home has all the best features, including Sub Zero and Dacor appliances, artistic tile work and cabinetry throughout, and beautiful hardwood floors and rugs. The interior is elegantly furnished in both traditional Santa Fe and mountain contemporary styling, and is complemented with a valuable contemporary art collection. There is a media room with a 50” HDTV with surround sound and reclining loungers. There are two offices and a high speed wireless internet connection to keep you in touch from afar. A house manager/caretaker residing on the property is available to provide any needed service and to help make your stay as effortless as possible.
The property is 8 minutes from the Aspen airport, 15-20 minutes to downtown Aspen and the Aspen Mountain gondola, 10 minutes to Buttermilk Mountain, 15 minutes to Aspen Highlands, and 12 minutes to Snowmass Mountain (actual driving times). A park & ride for free continuous municipal bus service is ¼ mile away, serving all 4 ski areas, the center of Aspen, the airport, etc., just about anywhere you might like to go. The bus can be a great solution, rather than trying to park in Aspen or at the ski mountains where parking is limited.
The 4 or so year old town recreation center, located 5 minutes away, is available to use for a very modest fee. It has an outdoor swimming pool, cardio fitness equipment, high end weight machines, and even a basketball court. You will find it to be one of the best and most luxurious municipal fitness and recreational centers anywhere.
From the house at night, enjoy what is very rare today, a view of a dark sky full of stars and the Milky Way. This is due to there being very little light pollution outside of Aspen, and at close to 8000 feet elevation, the air is very clear. Under a full moon reflecting off the snow, the entire valley is illuminated, creating a surreal nocturnal landscape. You will have a memorable and truly unique experience.
OUR RESERVED PARKING SPACE IN ASPEN MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR EXCLUSIVE USE AT A NOMINAL WEEKLY COST OF $100. IT IS LOCATED ON MONARCH STREET BETWEEN HYMAN AND COOPER AVENUES, RIGHT NEAR “RESTAURANT ROW”. PARKING IN ASPEN, DURING SKIING OR DURING THE EVENING, CAN OTHERWISE BE A HASSLE AND EXPENSIVE.
